About this property

Charming ancestral home built in 1775 with all modern conveniences!

To live memorable moments with friends or family in the heart of the Richelieu Valley, our magnificent house with the charm of yesteryear will satisfy you perfectly. With a robust construction dating from 1775, you will discover an inspiring and unique natural light. The Ancestral Ledoux-Bernard House, listed in the cultural heritage directory of Quebec, was completely renovated and completely furnished in November 2019. Whatever the season, opt for an experience of immersion in comfort in a space dating from the French regime.

The interior space on the ground floor: as soon as you enter through the glass roof located at the back of the house, you access a fully equipped ergonomic kitchen. In the large adjacent section, you will find a dining room, a large living room with its fireplace and flat-screen TV, an office area and a relaxation area, all open plan. The ideal place to spend evenings with family and friends with several board games, books and comics. Add to that, the pink bedroom with double bed (queen) and a bathroom with shower.

The modern equipment of the kitchen, its gas stove with bi-energy oven will allow you to prepare delicious meals. The dining room has a table that can seat up to 12 people. You can also opt for an intimate breakfast enjoying an unparalleled exterior view, in a 9 'x 18' foot solarium (2.80 x 5.60 meters), equipped with a table and 4 chairs.

Upstairs you have 4 magnificent bedrooms, all of which can comfortably accommodate up to 10 people. All our rooms are equipped with storage furniture. You will also find a closed mini-laundry room including a washer and dryer. You benefit from a spacious bathroom with shower and podium bath.

As a bonus, for the enjoyment of children and for your yoga sessions, our home offers extraordinary access to a mezzanine located on the upper floor (attic).

Located just 25 minutes from Montreal, it is the perfect home for a business or family trip to take advantage of the countryside while enjoying nearby activities.

This former beauty was built back from the street on a large plot of 46,000 square feet (14,080 square meters). The backyard offers you a magnificent view of Mont Saint-Bruno and modern agricultural activities with its cultivated fields.

Up front, enjoy the benefits of neighborhood life with its services, a local minibus, a park, a bike path, and even a commuter train. In addition, our historic house is located 10 minutes from Vieux Beloeil (several excellent restaurants, along the Richelieu river), 10 minutes from Mont Saint-Bruno (forest walking, cross-country skiing, alpine skiing), 10 minutes from Mont Saint-Hilaire (mountain walk, apple picking, etc.), 15 minutes from Quartier Dix30 (shopping, cinema, restaurants) and 20 minutes from Vieux Chambly (Fort de Chambly, marina, canal, bike path, etc.) .

Absolutely Charming Home
It took us a few years to actually get to this home. The process started just before Covid 2020 hit, which delayed things. So, I dreamed about staying in this home for a while. Eric was always very kind and helpful. He worked with me, allowing me to transfer the dates and I didn’t lose any of the money I had previously paid. Although the setting of the house was a little more in the city than I thought it would be, it felt like the country once we were there. I love the cornfields behind the house and enjoyed sitting outside in the mornings and evenings. The kitchen was small, but very functional. Much of the house felt like stepping back in time, although there were some modern areas, there was such character everywhere! It had meaningful old-farmhouse furniture that I adored. However, the bathroom upstairs was modern, spacious and very nice. We enjoyed the beautiful fireplace and overall felt very at home in this uniquely charming house. I’ll remember our stay here in my heart for a very long time.

Ancestral House Indeed!
We were 3 couples on a trip to visit Montréal, who wanted to stay outside the city! This house was perfect for us! We enjoyed the house inside and out. It’s an old house, floors creak, door creak, temps vary from room to room, area to area, but we expected all that in a house built in 1775! ( our home was built in 1812, so we are well aware). The hot tub was great, the doors For the pool room Need some attention, they were VERY hard to open, and we were really looking forward to enjoying that space, so worked on them until we got it done. Some small things to note there are 2 stair cases, both are difficult to manage. One set is very steep and narrow while the other is lacking any railings at all. The beds were all very comfy, the bathrooms and showers great, good water pressure too! the house has room for many more than our party of 6! We cooked in most nights and enjoyed the dining area for our shared meal time. We would definitely stay here again if ever back in the area! Thank you Eric!

What a unique experience!
This ancestral home is simply amazing. You feel as if you have traveled back in time but with modern amenities. The quirks of the property make it so charming. However, as one previous reviewer stated, if anyone in your party is tall, he/she will have to be careful of doorways. My husband who is 6'4 hit his head a few times on the doorways (nothing serious, he simply forgot to duck). The home is very clean, supplied with everything you would need and had ample towels, linens, etc. The beds and pillows are extremely comfortable. Montreal is a short 30 minute drive. We had several wonderful meals at restaurants in Beloeil, along the river. The area is quite nice and we couldn't have asked for a better stay. Thank you, Eric for your speedy responses and for sharing your historical home with us.

Nice big home
It is a very nice home with a huge yard and fun useful barn. Everything is old, everything cracks ! the bedding is luxurious and comfy but the beds do crack a lot,we had to sleep in different beds! the house is pretty clean but the kitchen/baseboards and lights would need a deep cleaning but all in all it was very comfortable, and we enjoyed the backyard a lot. very convenient too.
