About this property

Charming private countryhouse immersed in the vineyards

Beautiful country house surrounded by charming vineyards and fruit trees in the Unesco region of Monferrato. A perfect place to enjoy family reunions, friends gathering, getaways to explore slow food and Langhe wines. Full privacy, no other guests.

We recently renovated the house while preserving its history of more than one hundred years. Three generations of winemakers lived here, built these walls and used the barrels still visible in the tuff cave rock cellar.
The 3 floors house has 5 double rooms, 4 bathrooms, washing machine, a fully equipped kitchen (dishwasher, oven, microwave), a huge living room with a fireplace that we love to lighten up to warm up the cold winter nights. Netflix account included.
One of the two dining rooms used to be the place where the winemakers were making the sweet and delicious Moscato Passito DOC of Strevi.
During the summer you can enjoy some relax under the shade of the trees on the hammocks, use the barbecue, and if you're lucky eat some figs and peaches directly from our trees.
You can use our bikes to go aroud. The main road is wonderful to jog or bike down, with amazing views at the top.

The renovation is still unfinished (laundry area), so we're offering accomodation at a special price.

You'll have exclusive access to the whole house (no other guests).
We have 10 bikes (for kids and adults) available for you and your friends.

The surroundings are the true reason to be here. The Monferrato area has been recently included in the UNESCO heritage, offering beautiful walks through the vineyards, the Roman spas in Acqui Terme, visits to the old charming castles with dungeons and towers, and of course wine and food tasting. There is one Michelin star restaurant in Acqui, plus a number of other excellent ones.
Famous winemakers are all over the place, one excellent wine shop in Acqui with all of them. The area is also well known for its world famous white truffles, with two top restaurants a few minutes' drive from our place.
Our valley is the home of the sweet wine Passito di Moscato di Strevi, a Slow Food Presidium. See the Slow Food foundation web for more details.

For the fashion victims, one of the top designer malls in Italy is 45 minutes away with the very best of fashion (Armani, Aspesi, Bulgari, Prada...). But we are quite sure that once you see the vineyards, you will never think of going there ;-)

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful country house in Strevi. The home was absolutely lovely, very well maintained, and spacious enough to comfortably accommodate our group of nine across two families. There was plenty of room for everyone to relax and enjoy time together.Simone provided clear instructions and was always quick to respond to any questions, which made everything smooth and easy. We truly wish we could have stayed longer and had more time to explore the surrounding areas. It’s a special place we would happily return to!

A very nice place, quiet and nature all around

It was nice to have no direct neighbours, the house is not visible from the road which is very nice although we had difficulty to find it the first time. Nature and vineyards surrounding the big house, nice big bethrooms and bathrooms. We had a very pleasant stay

Very nice house: situated on a quiet hill overlooking a small vineyard, nice stock of local wine! The house is big and has nice antique touches. Very big garden with shady terraces and our girls loved the little swimming pool. Hammocks are hanging in the shade. Very good contact with the owners. Charming little town of Aqui Therme is nearby. Recommend!

Great Location, fantastic Grill and outdoors terrace

Very nice and practical house, in very nice location. The house offers all necessary comfort for a stay with aim at discovering the region. Great grill and terrace for hanging outdoors. In summer the pool must be clearly an asset. Minor remark regarding the kitchen that could have more pans and csseroles. Organization and logistics made really easy by the owners and team securing smooth arrival and departure. Thank you! We had a great time!

Pace e tranquillità...ottima esperienza!

Abbiamo soggiornato con un gruppo di amici 3 giorni... Posto "rustico" da casa di campagna, in una zona tranquilla, ottimo per chi vuole staccare dal caos cittadino. I proprietari e il custode sono davvero gentili e disponibili, hanno permesso di farci sentire sin da subito come a casa lasciandoci tutte le libertà con la garanzia di poterli comunque avere sempre a disposizione per qualsiasi necessità. In casa c'è tutto il necessario (anche per bambini piccoli) basta chiedere. Altra cosa a favore, disponibilità di concordare il check in in base alle proprie esigenze e la voglia di Eugenia e Simone di migliorarsi chiedendo, a fine soggiorno, se c'era qualcosa da rivedere/sistemare per migliorare la permanenza dei propri ospiti... Consigliato! Grazie mille!

Il posto è bello, ma la struttura lascia un po' a desiderare sebbene il signor Simone è davvero molto gentile e disponibile. Suggeriamo di fare più attenzione alla pulizia. Per il resto direi sufficiente.

Séjour au calme dans une vieille demeure de charme

Nous avons passé un séjour au milieu des vignes très agréable et surtout au calme. La maison est confortable, spacieuse (vraiment grande pour 6) , bien chauffée( elle doit être très plaisante en été car certaines pièces sont très fraîches). Nous avons été bien guidés par des hôtes très disponibles et accueillis par un monsieur très gentil (qui se déplace de loin!) En bref, on a beaucoup apprécié cette location un peu isolée dans une région très agréable d’Italie (avec une délicieuse cuisine, de beaux produits du terroir!)

Un super week end

Il casolare è immerso nella natura, tra i colori dei vigneti e dell'autunno. Il pezzo forte è la sala con il camino, come non concedersi mandarini, castagne e la musica di sottofondo per costruire stupendi ricordi. Tante camere, comode, calde, spaziose e perfettamente organizzate. La cantinetta dove cenare tutti insieme intorno al tavolo vince il premio vintage, bottiglie di vino, mattoni una stupenda stufa.. Un po' come tornare a casa dei nonni e sentirsi bambini. Eravamo in 15, con tanto spazio a disposizione, e non da meno la possibilità di goderci il tempo insieme senza preoccuparci di dar fastidio ai vicini, avevamo con noi una chitarra per concederci una goliardica serata cantante intorno al fuoco. In autunno il casolare ha un fascino incantevole, sicuramente anche la primavera e l'estate hanno molto da offrire potendo sfruttare il barbecue all'esterno, il tavolo sotto i pini, la piscina sul retro, le biciclette e i palloni sul prato. Non da ultimo la passeggiata verso la grande panchina, risalendo le colline a piedi per godere di uno splendido panorama dall'alto. Simone è il proprietario perfetto, che non manca di offrire disponibilità e tutte le informazioni, i consigli e le attenzioni, in casa c'è vino da poter gustare e acquistare, legna già pronta, e riscaldamento già acceso e ciliegina sulla torta la possibilità di far preparare un pranzo, una cena o un dolce dalla signora Anna, noi ci siam fatti preparare una grande pastiera. Non da meno il papà di Simone che ci ha accolti al nostro arrivo raccontandoci la storia del casolare e spiegandoci tutto nei dettagli. Abbiamo trascorso due giorni stupendi godendo dell'atmosfera autunnale davanti al camino in un casolare che ti porta indietro nel tempo. Super consigliato, per gruppi di amici, per famiglie numerose.. Il posto perfetto per riunirsi e uscire dalla routine.

Authentieke Italiaanse woning. Veel ruimte om het huis. Dit geeft mogelijkheid om met meer gezinnen hier te verblijven. Twee terrassen, waarvan een met BBQ. De inrichting van het huis was verouderd, met name de bedden. Ook de keuken was verouderd maar alle apparatuur en keukenmateriaal waren aanwezig. Communicatie met eigenaar verliep makkelijk en ze gaven veel informatie. De ontvangst was vriendelijk en heel uitgebreid.

Ottimo week end

Abbiamo trascorso un bellissimo week end in compagnia. Eravamo 15 persone con anche bambini piccoli e ci siamo trovati davvero bene. Camere molto grandi e pulite. Bellissima la zona giorno e sala pranzo. Bel giardino con anche dei giochi per i più piccoli. Casa isolata (ma era quello che andavamo cercando) in modo da non creare disturbo essendo numerosi e passando molto tempo in giardino per grigliare. Proprietari molto gentili e disponibili nel cercare di soddisfare le nostre richieste. Sicuramente mi sento di consigliarla a dei gruppi o famiglie anche abbastanza numerose. Consiglio: per raggiungere abitazione seguite le indicazioni che vi manda il titolare e non quelle del vostro navigatore, poiché sennò non vi portano alla casa, ma più in cima sulla collinetta

Pasqua in campagna

Abbiamo trascorso qualche giorno nella casa di Eugenia e Simone durante il ponte di Pasqua, siamo stati veramente bene. Sehr schönes uriges Landhaus, nur etwas zu kalt im Innenbereich

Wir waren zu elft über Weihnachten dort und es hat uns gut gefallen. Leider war das Haus im Innenbereich etwas zu kalt, trotz dem Versuch mit einer neuen Heizungsanlage dies zu vermeiden. Die Heizkörper waren einfach zu klein und gering für dieses riesige Landhaus. Nichts desto trotz hat es uns gut gefallen und wir haben sehr schöne Stunden gerade im dem Ess- und Wohnbereich vor angezündeten Kamin verbracht. Wir danken, Simone, Paolo und Anna für ihre Freundlichkeit und der ständigen Bemühung uns weiterzuhelfen.

Mooi huis, met een historisch karakter, stijlvol en eenvoudig ingericht, elementen van een paar honderd jaar oud, jaren 50/60 tot nu. Voor de afkoeling prima zwembad en een paar orleanders zou de tuin nog mooi sieren en maakt het plaatje compleet😊

Sehr ruhiger Rückzugsort inmitten fantastischer Aussicht

Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 6 Erwachsenen für drei Wochen in dem Haus. Zustand und Ausstattung sind etwas rustikal aber sehr brauchbar. Platz war für uns im Überfluss vorhanden und hätte auch für weitaus größere Gruppen gereicht. Der größte Nachteil für uns war, dass der Filter des Pool nicht mit der aufgrund der langen Hitzeperiode entstandenen Algen zurechtkam. Simone hat sofort jemanden zum Kümmern geschickt, aber auch der "Spezialist" konnte leider nicht viel machen. Toll war die Kommunikation mit Simone, der nicht um hilfreiche Tips verlegen war. So entdeckten wir ein tolles Landgasthaus in Laufweite und eine fabelhafte Agrimacelleria wenige Minuten entfernt.

tussen de wijngaarden!

Super locatie, rustig alleen tussen de wijngaarden met vele plekjes buiten om te zitten, eten, lezen, schommelen, plonsen in het zwembad, genieten van de zichten,... Ruime slaapkamers binnen met elk eigen charme, wijn van het huis ter beschikking :-) Alles is met veel charme ingericht, zowel buiten als in de keuken en de slaapkamers, met een mix van vintage en heerlijke no-nonsense, pure leefstijl. Wij kwamen er voor de tweede maal met veel plezier!!

Charming house in a gorgeous region

The house is beautiful. Every room has its very own style and character. We had everything we needed there. The house was clean when we arrived, just the linens smelt a little bit, but this wasn't a problem as we had a washing machine at our disposal. The pool water was dirty at a certain point but was changed and cleaned after two days. We can fully recommend to stay in this house, especially for people who like the simple rural way of life with all the pleasures that go with it. Thanks to Simone, Eugenia and Antonio!

Muy contentos

Marcos Estuvimos muy a gusto , la casa bien muy grande con dos zonas diferenciadas una las habitaciones y en la otra el salón y un comedor grandes . En el exterior hicimos uso barbacoa y comimos en la mesa exterior muy bien y tranquilos al no tener ninguna casa cerca . Si podemos volveremos !!!

Idyllisches Haus inmitten von Weinbergen

Wir waren als Großfamilie mit Kleinkindern von Mo bis Fr dort. Das Haus an sich ist super gelegen, die Zimmer sind geräumig und liebevoll eingerichtet. Es hat alles, was man für einen enspannten Urlaub braucht (inkl. Grillplatz), und Eugenia und Simone haben sich bei der Buchung und während des Aufenthaltes gut um uns gekümmert. Das Haus war bei unserer Ankunft sauber, die Angaben zum Haus und zur Anfahrt waren ausführlich und gut. Durch das kalte regnerische Wetter haben wir den Kamin und das bereitgestellte Feuerholz sehr zu schätzen gewusst. Fazit: jederzeit und gerne wieder!! Einziger Nachteil war der Gestank in einem der Badezimmer, das wohl von einem undichten Rohr stammte, und inzwischen wieder behoben sein durfte.

We hope you would enjoy the house and feel welcome like it's your own place.

What makes this property unique

It is an old countryhouse, so please don't expect the standards of a modern one, or of an hotel room.
For instance most of the windows don't perfectly seal the room, apart from the ones we got changed. You have to pull hard to open a couple of them, especially if there is rain (the window wood frame expands).
Heating is provided by a brand new heating system. The house will pre-heated before your arrival, so it's perfectly ok also for cold winter nights (we still prefer to use the fireplace :-)
