This villa is in the heart of the beautiful fishing village of La Cala and is situated only 60 metres from the beach. It sleeps 6 people plus a cot and has 2 bathrooms. The house has been recently extensively and luxuriously renovated throughout and has been our holiday home for many years. It's convenient location is perfect for couples and families alike and the facilities are all within walking distance with no necessity for the use of a car. Buses and taxis are available in the village for visits to other parts of the coast, however car hire is also available in the village for short or longer term rentals. The house has 3 double bedrooms with fitted wardrobes with the master bedroom having access to a pretty balcony. There is a large roof top sun terrace with sun loungers, dining table and superb views to the mountains and the sea. The kitchen is well equipped with modern facilities including washing machine, dishwasher and microwave and all the necessary kitchen appliances. From the kitchen there is access to a typical Andalusian patio which makes for the perfect outdoor dining experience throughout the summer months. Alternatively, the large lounge/dining area is a comfortable space for 6 people to dine indoors. There is satellite TV and a docking station for the use of I pod facility. There is a wide range of bars and restaurants and 3 supermarkets within walking distance of the property for your convenience. Fuengirola is only a short distance away and the cosmopolitan town of Marbella is only a 20 minute bus ride from La Cala.

Just back from a fantastic week at this villa. From booking till arrival owner was very helpful with any queries, even arranged transfer from airport for us.The villa itself is right in the centre of La Cala a stones throw from the beautiful beach with bars and restaurants all close at hand. Everything you will need to make your holiday special was supplied from comfy beds to warm showers ceiling fans and aircon in every bedroom.The sunbeds on the roof terrace with views of the sea were a great place to chill.Would not hesitate to book this villa again

Good communication during booking and pre holiday period, and the accommodation was lovely and very central. Helpful owners, and useful info and beach paraphernalia for use in the property, and the property managers left us to ourselves but responded quickly when asked. I would recommend this highly . Lots to do for families in nearby areas.

Had stayed in La Cala multiple times so knew in advance that this house was perfectly located but having spent time there it’s amazing how much that added to our stay. The house is well appointed and very comfortable. We will hopefully return. The owner was very helpful, replied to requests in a speedy fashion. Allowed early access on first day as we were early. Perfect location

Richard was excellent to deal with, always answered any queries my parents had before they arrived. House is in a perfect location. Directly opposite a lovely coffee shop and 1 minute walk to the beach and all restaurants. Not a reflection of the house at all but my parents were a little cautious with the internal stairs but not a problem for anyone without any mobility issues. Lovely and clean property, my parents would definitely stay again

Everything you could want in the perfect location.

Booking this property was seamless and trouble free. We have been holidaying in and around La Cala for many years and this is right up there with the best of the properties we have used. Everything about it is spot on, fully equipped is an understatement. The beach is a one minute walk away, supermarkets and all the other shops five minutes walk. Bars and restaurants aplenty on the doorstep you pay your money and take you choice. You don't need a car, we used the taxi service offered by Richard and Carole and it was excellent. To sum up, don't hesitate book up and have a great holiday. We will be back.

A Spanish village holiday

From the initial contact with Richard and Carol to our departure nothing could have been done any better. They were so helpful and obliging. The villa was immaculate as it has been for our previous two visits and as soon as I get home I’ll be booking again for next year. I love Mijas,everything is so convenient and the people are very friendly. The bus service to Fuengirola and Mijas Pueblo is very good and cheap that there is no need for a car.I can’t praise the area enough and in particular Richard and Carol’s helpfulness and friendly assistance. A wonderful fortnight again and looking forward to next years holiday.

Great Holiday.

We stayed for 5 weeks. Weather not the best but still got a good sun tan and there was heating in home. The roof sun terrace was really good once on sunbed below the surrounding walls out of wind but hot when sun out, in summer probably too hot but great for winter weather. The home has everything and more than needed, UK. tv with separate movie channels, great for when just staying in and relaxing. There were a lot of bars/shops/restaurants around property, we did not hire car this holiday, as so close to everything and the beach just around corner. This is one of the best homes we have rented, been coming to Costa Del Sol for a while now. The owner was a pleasure to deal with, doing all to make sure our holiday went to plan.

Location, Location, Location

My husband and I have just returned from a most enjoyable week in this lovely small town of La Cala. The house was spotlessly clean and had everything one could possibly require - 2 sparkling new bathrooms with excellent showers and a spacious, new, fully equipped kitchen. The bedrooms all had large wardrobes and plenty of drawer space too. To be honest, we didn't really use many of the facilities as the house is so well located within a few yards of the beach and the many bars and restaurants of the town that we spent most of our time out (apart from the 1 day when we had torrential rain for 12 hours!). A little gem!

Very sorry to leave! We spent almost 4 weeks here and wished we'd booked more. The location is simply amazing, walking distance to the beach, restaurants, supermarkets and bus stop. No real need to hire a car. The house had everything required for our stay and the tv package was superb. We are pensioners so didn't require a vibrant night life, so this was excellent for us. Wi-fi good too. Richard and Carole were very accommodating, arranging our taxi from the airport and also booking our Christmas lunch at their favourite restaurant. We made good use of the roof terrace, which requires a little care on the stairs, but perfectly manageable. It is only a surgical operation required this year that has stopped us so far, from booking for 2023 . An absolute gem of a place, only regret that we hadn't discovered this years ago.

Excellent property, good order, very clean, convenient to town and beach.

A few minor niggles. Toaster didn't work. Now that the street upgrade has taken place off street parking anywhere near the property could be very difficult. At the moment only a small car (Skoda Fabia) JUST fitted into drive which was OK for us but would be impossible for anything larger. TV failed completely when it rained on the satellite dish; not a problem in the summer, hopefully, but annoying for the "rainy season". But don't let this put you off. We've stayed at Cala de Mijas for the last 7 years and this is the best property we have found so far and I'm sure the owners will fix the very minor faults we found.

Great location - noisy neighbours

Firstly this property is in a great location and close to all the bars and restaurants and beach. Very clean and good comms with owners and house manager when we had an issue with the ac. However the neighbours think it is acceptable to leave their dog outside 24/7 barking and howling and living in its own dirt which meant we were unable to use the outside space due to the noise and stench and also did not get a full nights sleep all week (due to the barking exacerbated by the festival which went on until the early hours for 3 days surely not reasonable). This is clearly not the owners fault but surely the cleaners/ house managers/ other guests are aware of this situation. In addition the stairs to the solarium are treacherous and an accident waiting to happen - I dread to think what would happen if someone slipped (a two storey drop). Unfortunately not the quiet restful holiday we needed and planned for.

Erholsamer Aufenthalt

Die Lage des Hauses ist perfekt, wenn man gerne zentral wohnt. Und der dazugehörige Parkplatz ist sehr hilfreich. In den letzten Jahren wurde viel in das Objekt investiert und das Haus hat daher einen weit überdurchschnittlichen Standard. Ausstattung und Sauberkeit sind ebenfalls hervorzuheben. Die Heizung hat im Februar zuverlässig funktioniert. Das haben wir auch schon anders kennen gelernt. Wie auch schon in den anderen Kommentaren erwähnt, ist auf der Treppe zur Dachterrasse entsprechende Vorsicht geboten. Uns hat es so gut gefallen, dass wir gerne eines Tages wiederkommen.

This townhouse was in the centre of town with a parking space for a small car which was a bonus. There were plenty of pots and pans etc. with a dishwasher and washing machine. There was English TV and good WiFi.

El alojamiento está muy bien es una casa adosada de dos alturas con un patio donde se puede comer y cenar al fresco, y una azotea para poder estar por la noche. Está muy bien ubicado a un paso de restaurantes comercios y playa. Estuvimos en agosto y no estaba muy concurrida se podía estar perfectamente en primera o segunda línea y comer y cenar en los chiringuitos. No es la típica urbanización sino que estás en el corazón de un pequeño pueblito con todos los servicios. Muy buena estancia totalmente recomendable. Se nota que los dueños suelen pasar temporadas en la casa porque está totalmente equipada,con electrodomésticos vajilla y todo lo necesario para una buena estancia.

Immaculately clean house in a superb location

From the moment of booking Charles & Carole corresponded with us through HomeAway from arranging taxi transfer (at a reasonable rate) to giving us all the information we needed. The property Manager Graham was really helpful & was quick to respond to text messages. The bed in the main bedroom was really comfy & the bedrooms larger than most Spanish properties. The top terrace has lovely sea views. The house is in a perfect location within 100 meters of the beach & close to many really good restaurants & a superb bakery. We felt really safe in La Cala de Mijas even walking home late from restaurants. In short a really lovely house in a lovely location. Thank you!

We currently live in Yorkshire and have 2 grown up children. I have run my own business and my wife teaches young children in our local school. We spend as much time as we can in La Cala as it has been our second home for many years.

Why they chose this property

We have loved coming to La Cala for our holidays for many years and its convenience and safety has always been paramount for bringing up our 2 children as they were able to access the beach independently from an early age. The local people are so friendly and we feel very much part of the village community.

What makes this property unique

We have enjoyed this property because of its stunning location and its near proximity to the beach. However with the availability of a car the whole of Andalucia is a fantastic place to explore from La Cala. You can be skiing in Sierra Nevada within 2 hours, Gibraltar is only an hour's drive and the city of Malaga, the birthplace of Picasso, with its fabulous architecture and history is only a 30 minute drive or a pleasant coastal train ride from Fuengirola.
