Wonderful Beach House!

Took my parents to Santa Cruz for the 4th of July weekend and the Cowell Beach House did not disappoint! The location is great, neighborhood is quiet but less than a 5 minute walk to the beach. The only small issue we encountered was cleanliness. The utensils were not clean and needed to be rewashed, shower curtain had mold on inside, and sides/behind toilet were unkempt. However, it was still a wonderful experience and none of those issue would prevent me to wanting to stay again. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful space!

Perfect place for weekend getaway!

Perfect location- quick walk to pier and Santa Cruz boardwalk. House was clean and perfect for our stay! Great walking paths nearby. Super close to stores, restaurants and beaches/parks. Recipe d West End Tap for lunch. Owner was super responsive with anything we needed! 10 stars!

This little duplex is in a perfect location, has the choice of a queen bed or two single beds which is great and they were very comfortable. The kitchen is absolutely fabulous, well-supplied and has a huge table so you can eat with friends and family, plus a sweet backyard with a table and chairs to enjoy outside meals. The living room has a big TV, comfortable large, long couch and big comfy chair. There are plenty of blankets and towels. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is for two reasons: the house is extremely close to the neighbors so it was kind of dark and the tiny bathroom has absolutely no where to hang towels, whether bath or hand towels. With only two of us it was still a mess of towels in the bathroom. It's an easy thing to fix though, so I would advise the owner to add towel racks and hooks both on walls and behind the doors.

Single mom to 4 kids 11 and under

I wanted to stay within walking distance to the beach so I didn’t have to park and walk. This was perfectly located. The host provided beach chais, sand toys and towels I appreciated. Also thank you for the laundry detergent I was able to wash our clothing before we left. The only thing missed was a pack of cards and kid friendly games for the evening, I forgot those but the tv and internet made night easy. Thank you.

Loved the house so much! Walking distance to the beach. 100/100

So close to the beach! Blanket’s were amazing definitely didn’t need the heater on with blankets like those. Would definitely recommend to other people to stay here. Shower pressure was a little lower than I’m used to. But definitely enjoyed our stay there. 😉🤙

Perfect Long Weekend

Perfect long weekend. This place was just far enough from the Boardwalk crowds and traffic and yet close enough to walk with the family (I usually have the whiniest 6 and 9 year old girls that hate walking but I didn’t hear a single complaint they just talked about how much fun the beach and boardwalk were they whole way back :-) ). The place was perfect with a big backyard, kitchen, bedrooms, and living room. We’ll be returning next year for sure. Thank you!

Great location...terrible smell

Small but comfortable place, amazing location. Well appointed. Our one (but big) complaint was that there was a STRONG smell of ant/insect spray (e.g., Raid) in the house which was kind of disconcerting and also gave a couple of us pretty bad headaches. We didn't actually see any bugs while there, so didn't think it was worth it to call property manager - not sure what they could have done. They did have an air purifier running when we arrived and we just kept all the windows open.

This property provided a nice location for our family to prepare for my son's wedding. We prepared flowers for the tables, bouquets, and boutonnieres. The entire kitchen table with flowers was beautiful. Wish I had thought to take a photo.

We had a wonderful stay at this adorable little beach house in Santa Cruz! I went with my husband, mom, teen son, and our dog, and it was the perfect spot for all of us. The location couldn’t have been better, just steps from the beach, so we were able to enjoy the ocean every day without having to drive anywhere.The house itself was very comfortable and cozy, with everything we needed to feel at home. It was also super pet-friendly, which made traveling with our dog stress-free. The host was incredibly kind and accommodating, when we arrived earlier than expected, they graciously let us check in early.This rental checked every box for us: great location, comfort, hospitality, and pet-friendliness. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing Santa Cruz getaway!

Cowell Beach House

We loved this rental. It was clean, quiet, roomy and pretty inside. There were plenty of towels/blankets, the backyard seating was nice, the couches were comfy. Nice windows for good airflow. Easy walk to the beach with our chairs/ice chest.

Beautiful Property

We loved this home! The details the owners left were so nice - just the organization, scents, etc. Four of us stayed and it was so comfortable. The home is just a short walk to the Santa Cruz Wharf or the Lighthouse/Surfing Museum. Being next to the ocean was fantastic!
