Everything was great! The house is as listed, clean, it was stocked, perfect location, very happy with our stay! :) pictures definitely don’t do it justice! Loved the house! absolutely no complaints! Will definitely stay here again if going back to the area!
Our family lives near this house and we enjoyed staying in this nice house while we visited with them for Thanksgiving. Our dog enjoyed having space outside.
A beautiful charming home with many extras. It was our home away from home for our weekend at Colonial Williamsburg. It has plenty of room and many extras, my wife and I like playing pool and the pool table was a big bonus. We spent many hours at Colonial Williamsburg and enjoying the area with our Corgi. The house had everything to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. We definitely will stay again.
Everything was just as described in listing. Kids enjoyed the game room. Location was perfect for us. Host was very tenative to respond to our questions. Check out and check in was very easy.
As the title states, great little comfy & cozy place to stay when coming to the area to enjoy Busch Gardens Amusement Park. My family of 5 had plenty of room and while we didn’t spend much time in the house it offered all we needed. Tony was a fantastic and a very responsive host.
Great house, clean, well appointed and plenty of space as our ‘home base’ for a family Memorial weekend away. Had some trouble with the GPS getting us there, but Tony called right away after I messaged and talked us straight in. We enjoyed our stay!
Spacious and welcoming. Lots of recreational games, beautiful deck with pastural/woods view. Owner was very accommodating and was easily reached when needed.
We love this property and will book again for our next get together. The house is clean/comfortable and well equipped with extras. The pool table and games are a nice bonus. Short drive to Williamsburg.
The Host was very responsive and replied quickly to messages.
Needed a pet friendly place to start that was close to Busch Gardens. This house was perfect for my bf, myself and my dog! Very spacious and very clean! I had a little trouble with the lock on the door with the code but the host was readily available and helped me right away! Great house and great host!
You get the whole first floor which is three bedrooms (4 beds) and two and a half baths. It’s close to the historical areas (about a half hour). Amazingly well stocked kitchen (with all kitchen supplies) with two stoves and two ovens. It’s one of the nicest places we rented.
This house was so much better than expected! It was extremely roomie, comfortable, and very clean! The property manager was easy to communicate with! The game room was a lot of fun during our down time! The location was perfect for us and our dog loved it as well! I do 100% recommend it and I will stay again if we go back to Williamsburg!!!
Very comfortable home close to West Point, provided all the features and household items needed for a great stay. Very large yard, games, books and other entertainment in the house. Excellent communication with owner. Wi-Fi equipped and never lost reception even during thunder storms. Great place to gather the family for a getaway.
We had a very enjoyable time staying here. Everything we needed was provided, it was comfortable, and very spacious.
Being an older home, it has its quirks, but that also brought its own charm. New floors, new furniture in the living/family room, and the perfect space for our family of 5.
The house is on a main road so you do hear the trucks as they pass by, but at night, it all goes away.
Tony was very responsive the few times we had questions. He also checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay.
The pictures didn't do justice to this lovely vacation home. If I could have rated it 50 stars, I would have. It was very clean and has everything my daughters and I could have wanted in a home away from home. Every room is furnished very nicely and is very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with modern appliances and is fully stocked. We enjoyed drinking coffee on the large deck in the early mornings and late evenings, overlooking the large back yard. The game room, as well as the vast selection of books, provided us with much entertainment. The washer and dryer are very modern and made doing laundry simple. We have stayed at a rental every year, from Vermont to South Carolina, and this is the best, most enjoyable place we have ever stayed at. It is the perfect place to stay to be refreshed and rejuvenated when you need to escape from the stress and worries of the world. Many thanks to Anthony, the wonderful host. He promptly answered my messages and is very courteous.
As we packed up, we wanted to pen a note to convey our thanks and appreciation. During our stay, we appreciated the minutest attention and detail afforded to the home. The positive, warm vibes extended from a fully stocked kitchen to quality furniture combining elegantly the older style furniture with modern amenities from the game room to the ding room to comfortable beds after a long day out. The home truly had something for all age groups to enjoy. My wife especially appreciated the love for horses, NASA calendar along with the wonderful quotes dotting the walls. My wife wrote down two quotes: “I started with nothing and still have most of it left. And “I finally got it together, and I forget where I put it.” The kids loved the game room and coloring books while the adults enjoyed the deep collection of books to peruse and read. The entire home was a perfect blend of aristocracy and rustic charm with everything in a state of maintenance to enjoy. Our dog loved running into the open fields and rolling on the ground.
I also appreciated the promptness in replying to all time sensitive messages.
It is clear with the vibes and attention to detail, there is a lot of love in this home. Going forward, we would love to return and continue to see the attractions in the historic triangle (Williamsburg, Yorktown, and Jamestown
This house was great for 2 families on vacation to the Williamsburg area. Plenty of space and comfortable.
Pros: well stocked kitchen, fun game room, bathroom supplies like toilet paper, hand soap provided, comfortable beds, smart tvs, shower heads with wands, no carpets, Keurig, multiple bathrooms (great for 7 people), food lion nearby, no long list of cleaning to do at checkout,
Cons- no fire pit with free firewood like in description, the main shower had hairs in it before anyone had used it, hard water smell, half bath in master is very small and narrow.
The cons were not enough to make our stay bad. We truly enjoyed the house! It is an older house, so don't expect it to be modern and updated. The pictures are accurate and reflect exactly what is there. Williamsburg attractions are about 35-40 minutes away so plan accordingly. It is great place to stay if you have a large group.
Random tips- back into carport if possible, otherwise will need to back out onto a busy road. Road noise can be very loud during the day but at night it does quiet down. If an extremely light sleeper, bring earplugs. Bathroom off laundry room light switch is on the outside and on a timer. Someone in our group learned this the hard way when taking a shower at night...
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed out stay with 4 adults, 2 teens and 1 child! Was nice to have a place to come back, cook diners and hang out at night.
My son, 2 cats and I had a great 2 week vacation and learned more about our ancestry from Virginia. The house was great, everything we needed and wanted plus extras. Very clean and was located near to every site we planned to visit. We had a great time and would definitely go there again. Thank you Tony for such a great place to stay.
