Suited me.

It is on the RER A train line east of Bois de Vincennes. Takes you to many places in central Paris you may want. Quite a small place suited for one. Enjoyed my stay there.

Complicated stay

I write this review as people often don't like saying the negative things for which reason the overall score does not always reflect the general opinion. Gerard initially communicated with me in a somewhat condescending way, writing some of the most important info in our messages in capital letters as if I could not read. Nice man when I checked in, but turned out there is no internet in the place and I had to have hour long phone calls with my phone provider in the UK as I spent a fortune on extra hotspot data, so absolutely not a cheap place for me. The place is nice despite the small window that is very high up, seems newly refurbished, however the bathroom has an unpleasant smell of Mold. Gerard seemed to suddenly take a disliking to me though I was perfectly polite or maybe it was just a general lack of manners which made him ask me to vacate the place "No later than 9 or 9.30" on the day of departure where the agreed check out according to the written terms is 11 am. I felt pressured to leave and left at 10 leaving the keys in the tidied-up room as well as left hand soap and kitchen towels for the next guest, the building has two security locks so seemed safe to do this for a few minutes and Gerard was at an appointment elsewhere in town, which should obviously not be my problem or pressure; furthermore, I informed I would be leaving at 11 the very latest. I received a text from him later stating he thought I had "gone back up'" (to the room? I'm not sure!) It was the oddest message - at that time, I had already been at my new place for hours. In general, I have good VRBO experiences and most hosts are easy, helpful, polite and happy for the business you bring. This did not seem to be the case with Gerard.

En effet, la communication avec Birgitta a été très compliquée: avant la location (problèmes +++ sur le site) et pour convenir de l'heure du départ. J'ai indiqué à Birgitta être indisponible entre 9 h 45 et 10 h 45 lui laissant le choix de nous voir avant ou après. Elle m'a proposé de le faire entre 10 h et 10 h 15 !. J'ai été très contrarié de ne pouvoir la rencontrer à son départ. Je pense être aimable, hospitalier et avenant ce qu'autres hôtes ont déjà témoigné.

Gerard ist ein toller Gastgeber

Trotz den initialen Schwierigkeiten durch Schnee, Fluggesellscahft und Verkehrs durch Paris wurde ich ganz freundlich von Gerard empfangen. Ein netter Gentle man, freundlich, pünktlich, immer erreichbar und hilfsbereit. Die Lage der Wohnung ist günstig. Innerhalb von 20 Minuten habe ich das Herz von Paris erreicht. Danke und auf Wiedersehen.

Très proche RER À, principale ligne traversant Paris et donc pratique pour visiter la capitale. Chambre sous les toits, bien aménagée et très bien équipée. Accueil sympathique et disponible.
