Il Melograno is a traditional cave house which is carved into the rocks face. It has two independent bedrooms with double beds, en-suite bathrooms and a private fully equipped kitchen. The premises are so spacious that two more guests can be accommodated on sofa beds in the living-room.

A spacious private veranda, provided with an outdoor whirlpool tub, will allow you to relax and get the best out of your stay in il Melograno .

It is just 2 km away from the main town Fira. Easy to access by car, no more than 5 minutes, or a 25 minute walk, while just 10 minutes walking from the bus station that goes to Fira and any other destination of the island.

The modern sector provides all the amenities to make your vacation time easy and memorable - supermarkets, mini market 24/7 ,bakery shops, restaurants, cafeterias 700m etc .The nearest beach is just a 10 minute drive, which will most certainly make it worthwhile.

We can arrange you a transfer pick up from/to the airport or port with an extra cost.
Driving your own rental car , scooter or ATV is the best way to explore the island. We can assist you in booking a rental car/ scooter/ATV from a local provider.

You can reach Karterados by public bus, taxi or car. You can leave the car outside the settlement (NO cars ALLOWED IN) and walk to the house (5 -7min).Near the house there is a free parking.

Wow! This place exceeded our expectations! The place was spotless. We knew it was going to be great but didn’t anticipate how much we’d love it here, we didn’t want to leave! Already planning a trip to come back next year and stay longer. Rodoula was so helpful with everything we needed, include arrange transport and was quick to get back to us, with literately minutes. .Highly recommend stay here and doing day trips to the other areas of the island.

A slice of Heaven in Santorini

This property is a lovely traditional cave house in Karterados. It’s a short walk to a bus stop and an exquisite bakery, probably the one I loved the most in Greece. It’s a very accessible walk to Fira as well and an oasis of peace after a fulfilling day of excitement. The property manager provided excellent communication and advice. Too many superlatives about the property - our 2 favorites were having outdoor meals and the jacuzzi. We’d absolutely love to return here in the future. Thank you, Rodamanthi !!!

AMAZING HOUSE

Super host, extra house ! The House is bigger than expected, and is really beautiful. The terrace and pool are well exposed to the sun the all day ! The location of the house is as well perfect, very calm and really near to Fira (5min by car). Rodoula is a really nice host, we had informations printed with all the activities to do on the Island and super adresses to eat, get a drink, a tan and even a party ! Thank you very much for the stay !! If you’re interested into this house, don’t hesitate, it was all perfect !

The location is good and you can walk into Fira which we did regularly. The home is clean and the cold jacuzzi is great addition. The host is really helpful. The only negative if I can think of is if you hire a car be careful where you park as the local residents can get a bit precious about parking spots. Sitting in the yard watching the neighbouring cats jump over balconies was great entertainment.

Great house, wonderful host, close to Fira

A wonderful cave house just outside of Fira. Easy to get around and close to the bus station and supermarket. The house is cleaned daily, quiet being outside of the city (except for dogs barking), and a good central location on the island. If you stay here you should check out Erotokios bakery, Katerina's, Karvounaki in Fira, and the food tour with Aristotle (look on AirBNB). We were also able to get an ATV brought right to the house by Santorini moto rentals. We mentioned the hotel next door, Aldea, as a reference point and in a half hour we had an ATV and were on our way. You do need to have an international license. I would stay here again for sure! For more photos check out her Airbnb page. We dumped all of our stuff put pretty quickly and I decided against photos with all of our junk in it!

Great New cave house renovation. Fantastic owner who assists you in any way necessary. Best feature is 2 “real” full baths, each with its own walk-in shower. About a 15 to 20 minute walk to Fira.
