Great house for our family of 4! There are a lot of stairs, so if that is an issue, just a watch out. But the house is very clean, had plenty of kitchen supplies, towels, etc. and is one block from the beach and comes with a beach wagon and toys. Highly recommend!

This property is false advertising!!! The listing photos you see are not what you get when you arrive. The furniture, art work and layouts are completely different. The couch in the living area is gross, the dining table chairs are filthy and when you walk into a place you don't think you're supposed to be at it is extremely frustrating. The property does not have central air (even though it listed this as an amenity prior to our booking). I told the host I was not happy with any of this. He got defensive and text me that he was going to come over to the property and speak with me. I told him I was at dinner but seriously...super unprofessional. There are many other complaints we could share. Buyer beware.

Thank you for the feedback — though it doesn't reflect your stay or the experience our guests consistently describe. A few clarifications for anyone reading: Our listing accurately lists air conditioning, and the home has mini-split A/C units in every room (plus heating) that cool the entire house well into the 50s — we have never advertised "central air." The living and dining furniture is professionally cleaned before every stay and was clean at check-in. And when concerns came up mid-stay, I reached out and offered to come to the home in person to make things right — an offer that was declined. We take real pride in this home, which is why it holds a 9.8 rating across hundreds of stays and has continued to earn 5-star reviews from happy guests in the weeks since this one. We're sorry this visit didn't reflect that standard, and we wish you the best.

The location was really great and the place was spotless. The host tried hard to be helpful. The place has a lot of stairs (and two stairwells) and has a cut up floor plan. We were on 3 of the five floors. There are three separate codes to get in and around the property. There are coded locks on every door…when we first arrived we had no idea which unit was ours because there are no numbers or indicators on any of the multiple doors. There is a liquor store across the street which doubles as a pop up bar for some locals. It was pretty loud until around 11pm each night. The bedding and all of the little touches were nice, but the beds are like sleeping on futons.Overall an odd stay, but fine.

The pictures of what we rented are different than what we actually got; they were probably of the 2nd unit in the building. The unit is split vertically which was annoying because each room is on a different floor. You walk into an office, then go upstairs to 1st bedroom, go up another flight of stairs to a 2nd bedroom, go up another flight of stairs to the kitchen, then another flight of stairs to the balcony. The directions to get in are a bit confusing but the host accepted our call and explained it. We call the front of the garage where you enter with a car, but he calls it where you enter the apartment. The garage is shared with the 2nd tenant. The first night we got home, the 2nd person parked a little bit too far in the middle and we had about an inch between our cars and the wall. If you park behind the golf cart, definitely do not back in. You won’t be able to get out of your drivers side. The host was easy to get a hold of, the kitchen was well stocked, place was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Split ductless minis made each room comfortable temps. Easy access to beach and other places. Otherwise very comfortable. Stairs sucked though!

Winter Weekend Getaway

The townhouse was located on the peninsula with views of both the bay and ocean, sunrise and sunset. We were able to walk to wonderful restaurants and conveniently access the nearby bikepath along the ocean. We enjoyed our active and relaxing time away!

Long Beach and coast visit

Great location. Able to go on runs/walks on the beach and a short drive to Huntington and Balboa for surf and day trips. Food and night life good close by. Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s also very close. Was a great location and will be back.

Perfect Location

Property is very spacious and comfortable. 1 block away from the Marina and 1 block away from the beach. We brought our dog and this location was 1 mile away from Rosie’s Dog Beach. That was a HUGE bonus for us. Would definitely stay here again.
