Located in the popular gated community of Barrier Dunes, The Sandy Hook is a stand-out, pet-friendly townhome offering 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a sleeper sofa, to accommodate up to 6 guests and 2 dogs. This end unit is a short walk to the sugary white beach of Cape San Blas, where the spectacular sunsets are unmatched by anywhere else in the entire panhandle of Florida.

We invite you to come and enjoy all of the updated features offered in this fantastic townhome. The first floor living/dining/kitchen area is open and inviting with plenty of space for everyone. We have comfortable seating and a large flat screen TV, perfect for a family movie night after a fun-filled day at the beach. A big bay window lets in extra light, making the room bright and cheery. The living area opens onto a great resurfaced deck with a table & chairs and a gas grill overlooking the tennis/pickleball courts. This wonderful outdoor space is perfect for al-fresco dining.

Back inside, our dining table seats six (for meals or game nights) with additional seating at the spacious bar. The updated kitchen features new cabinets, countertops, and all stainless steel appliances, including a large side-by-side refrigerator/freezer with water and ice in the door, an electric stove, microwave, and dishwasher. The kitchen is incredibly well-stocked with everything you need to cook and enjoy meals together, along with a coffee maker, crock pot, toaster, blender, electric can opener, plenty of cookware, dishes, and glassware.

Also on the first level is a bright and welcoming bedroom offering a small distant view of the Gulf. The room is setup with a queen bed, flat screen TV, and ample space to unpack. There is a small balcony for two to enjoy sitting out. And a full bathroom with a tub/shower combination is conveniently located between the kitchen and the bedroom.

When you walk upstairs, you are "wowed" by the inviting master suite. The large king-size bed offers a comfortable oasis to relax and unwind. All of the dresser drawers and the large closet give you plenty of room to settle in for your vacation. A sliding door opens onto a lovely resurfaced deck, where a cute little table with two chairs offers a wonderful spot to sit out with a cup of coffee and enjoy the morning sun. The en-suite bathroom has a large walk-in tiled shower and nice new vanity. Also upstairs is a wonderful little office nook, and the laundry closet has a new, full-sized stackable washer and dryer. (Please note, this is a typical Barrier Dunes unit and does not have a door on this bedroom.)

The Sandy Hook has been freshly painted from top to bottom, has ceramic tiled floors throughout (which are perfect for the beach), offers comfortable furniture, wonderful outdoor decks, plenty of TVs, wireless internet, covered parking, and beach chairs and a cart to easily get your gear to and from the beach. We have done everything we can to make our place feel like your home away from home.

Barrier Dunes is a great place for people of all ages. Our community offers safe streets for walking your dog and for your children or grandchildren to play or ride bikes. In addition to the two tennis/pickleball courts, the community also has a wonderful playground, several ponds where kids love to feed the resident turtles, three boardwalks to the beach, and two swimming pools - one is centrally located in the complex (and can be seen from the decks of The Sandy Hook) and the other pool overlooks the beautiful Gulf of Mexico.
