Not what we wanted
I had high hopes for the house however we had too many problems to not write a review. Before getting to the house I had reached out to make sure that the chair situation was taken care of for the dining room and was told “the issues were taken care of”. Well to my surprise when we walked into the home there was no where for us to all sit and eat. The table was also lopsided so we wouldn’t have eaten there anyways. There was a very strong smell when we walked in took a little while to figure out but we think it might have been the smell of dog. The bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. Only issue/problem was the upstairs front bedroom has doors that open and they just go straight the roof nothing stopping anyone from falling through that and off the roof. Wouldn’t recommend that room for kids. There was a pantry which we were excited to use but we found food that had been eaten through and mice droppings all over the pantry. Then we found more mice droppings under the sink, by the window and under the couch. Not very sanitary when there were people trying to eat and kids trying to play. No outdoor furniture either including a fire pit which is listed that, also the bikes were not accessible due to the garage being full. The home has so much potential but I wouldn’t recommend anyone staying there until some major issues are dealt with.

not as advertised
Nothing like the picture you show here. There were no chairs, except some high chairs next to a 6" wide breakfast bar. Not how you want to have a meal. Otherwise there were two beat-up old chairs, very low, in the outside "patio" area, with a rattan bench acting as a table. There was a dining table, but no chairs for it anywhere. We ended up eating on the couch, which was awkward. Also no places to sit outside, which is a shame, with such a large yard. The place has been partly renovated, and the windows are new and they work, but they were filthy. The upstairs bathroom has no shower, but maybe one is coming? - There's a weird device in the floor that might be the drain for a shower. The upstairs bathroom does have a jacuzzi tub; the shower downstairs is fine. There is no railing on the stairs going up to the bedrooms, making it difficult for those of us with mobility issues. Going in and out of the front door was treacherous, as there are paving stones just thrown down haphazardly in front of the door - very easy to trip. The cable tv was not very comprehensive, just a few stations, and there were other little things - no bin for the compost bags to go in, no hot pads in the kitchen, etc. It just wasn't a comfortable house to be in.

No view of the lake
For starters there is no lake view what so ever. This house needs a very good deep clean. There were cobwebs with spiders in just about every corner of every room. Dust bunnies under the couch and beds. We had to take out and clean all 3 air conditioner filters because they were filthy. Kitchen table is broken and there were no chairs available, just a bench for 2 people that also wasn’t the sturdiest. Plus the 4 barstools at the island (which ones is also broken)but they are too tall to be used at the table. The bed right at the top of the stairs on the second floor was broken. That had no air conditioning. Only 1 box fan was provided. And the ceiling fan only worked with the light on so we couldn’t even use the fan to help circulate the air on the second floor. The other bedroom has a sliding glass door to the roof…. very dangerous if someone brings kids to that house. Open loft had no air and the light in the 3rd bedroom on the 3rd floor did not work. There were no extra lamps to use or any light bulbs so we could not change it. Garbage disposal in the kitchen sink stinks throughout the first floor and the gas stove leaks propane so we had to smell that as well. They advertise bikes but most of them have flat tires so we couldn’t use them. Also a second shower upstairs would be nice or at least advertise that it is just a tub because that was a little bit of a surprise. 6 people with 1 shower was tough.

N Hero Country Lane
The house encompasses 3 floors and is spacious enough for 8 people. However, with no railing on the stairs to the 2nd floor, it made it difficult access for someone with a cane. There is only 1 shower, despite having 2 bathrooms, making getting ready for a family wedding challenging.
