Welcome to the Coyote Grove Chalet, located in lower Moonridge, the premier neighborhood in Big Bear. Enjoy the flat street and easy access to the cabin in winter months. After you hit the slopes at Bear Mountain just two minutes away, retire to the chalet to make s’mores over the crackling fireplace inside or over the gas fire pit in the fully fenced backyard.
Head into Big Bear Village just five minutes away for shopping and dining. In summer months head to the lake to fish, boat, and swim or take a short stroll to the coffee shop and other boutiques along the new and improved Moonridge Corridor.

Excellent VRBO
This property is outstanding in every single way. Most importantly it is very clean. The location is great and access is good in that you park right next to the entry door. We loved the very quiet neighborhood. The owner is a great communicator and quick to respond to any questions we had. We will definitely stay in this same unit next time we are at Big Bear. Great for a single couple and also world work well for a family of four, or two couples.

Great Experience
This experience was without a doubt very rewarding for me and my family. The location was so amazing and quiet, the cabin itself made you feel at home to the point where it became bitter sweet having to leave. We would definitely return for another visit. Thanks for making the experience possible for my family and I.

Gem of a house
We really enjoyed this home. It was very clean and nicely decorated. We are an older couple and one of us has some minor mobility issues, there were no problems getting in or out of the house. The water stayed hot while showering. The larger appliances were older, however they were clean and worked well. The kitchen had all the necessary cooking equipment and dishware needed. There is a back patio with table, bbq, and fire pit. Our favorite place was the front porch, where we were able to spend time reading, writing, etc. The check in was smooth and the host was very responsive. Great location. We would stay here again.

Host profile image
Welcome to my home. My name is David Liehn, and I reside in a beach town in Southern California. I also love the mountains and have been visiting Big Bear since the early 2000s. I enjoy all there is to do in Big Bear. From snowboarding to hiking, to lake activities and dining in the Village. I enjoy the outdoors and spending my time in nature. I'm also dabble in photography and Big Bear offers me plenty of opportunities to capture some amazing scenics (some of which are hanging in the chalet!)

If you are interested in purchasing photos of Big Bear or any other scenic/nature photographs, please visit my Etsy store. I offer a 15% discount for all guests. Please use promo code at checkout - COYOTEGROVE

Why they chose this property

I had been coming up to Big Bear for over 15 years to go snowboarding and enjoyed the mountain so much I wanted to buy a vacation home there. After looking on and off for a couple years, I finally walked into this home and found what I had been looking for. It's a very well taken care of home on a quiet and flat street in lower Moonridge (which I consider to be one of the premier neighborhoods in all of Big Bear. It is easily accessible even in inclement weather. The view from the back patio of Bear Mountain and the ski slopes were exactly what I was looking for. The back patio and the huge front deck make you want to spend more time outdoors. The inside of the chalet has an open floor plan yet is cozy and inviting. My home is close to everything in town and was just the perfect fit for me from the first time I stepped inside.

What makes this property unique

The wall to wall brick fireplace in the living room is something you don't see everyday and brings the room together. I love the view of the wooden deck from the front window and the views of the Mountain slopes from the kitchen window. The back patio is my favorite spot with unparalleled views of the slopes and a gas fire pit to sit around with friends and family.
