Gorgeous Gîte

We had a magical stay in January and had wonderful and rapid communication with the owners about our check in and check out. The Gite has everything you need and it's such a cosy and idyllic setting. We plan to stay again very soon!

After an initial hic up in communication upon arrival the stay was very pleasant. The property matched their description exactly. The owner was very responsive to our questions thru the VRBO application. We would defiantly stay there again.

Misleading Information

This property is listed as 2 bedrooms, so we booked it on the understanding that it would be suitable for my mum, dad and me (an adult woman). However, the "second bedroom" was actually a sofa bed that was squeezed into a very tight space between the kitchen, kitchen cabinet, dining table and toilet. I was therefore camped out, having to move the dining table up against the wall to be able to open the sofa bed every evening (after which time we couldn't open the kitchen cupboard), and then put my bed away every morning and move the table back so we could sit around it again. There was no door to the bedroom upstairs, and my bed was right by the toilet, so I was getting woken up every night. 2 weeks of staying in this situation became much more of a struggle than the relaxing holiday we had envisioned. That, combined with unseasonal cold, wet weather, meant we chose to leave early. There were a few other issues - light bulb dying, gas running out so we couldn't cook that evening, internet stopping working for days (not their fault). The light bulb and gas were fixed by the owners fairly promptly. The internet is slow. I was unable to work from there as I had been expecting (checked in advance and was told it was fast enough). For a couple, I imagine it would be a really sweet place. However, it was totally inappropriate for 3 or 4 adults as listed. The owners said that they had listed it as 2 beds with1 bedroom so maybe the misleading info is VRBO's responsibility.

The small perigord house

Verblijf was top. Locatie ook. Heel compleet huisJE! Superleuk en heel compleet. Let op c’est une maison Francaise. Verwacht geen luxe, maar gewoon een topplek met alles erop en eraan. Schoon en compleet. Het enige; je kunt dit huis niet als 4 persoons woning aanbieden. Daar is t gewoon te klein voor. 2 mensen op de eerste gaat prima maar als je r ook nog 2 in de woonkamer wilt proppen moet je 2 x per dag het huis verbouwen.

gîte douillet et bien équipé idéalement situé à 5 minutes du centre historique de Sarlat . Entourés de bois ces petits gîtes sont l'endroit idéal pour se ressourcer après une journée de visite des nombreux châteaux de la région .

Séjour de seulement 4 nuits, mais gîte et environnement très agréable... Silence absolu, beauté environnementale... Beau temps ensoleillé pendant mon séjour, ce qui rajoute une satisfaction dans ce cadre de campagne magnifique... Extrêmement bien situé endroit magique au calme.

Notre petit séjour fut extrêmement agréable, petite maison dominante au milieu de la nature, très dépaysant. Le seul point faible cette maison est idéale pour un couple mais pas pour quatre personnes. Attention escalier un peu raide pour une personne âgée. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir.

Un petit havre de paix à deux pas de Sarlat !

Nous avons passé une très belle semaine de vacances dans cette petite maison située au fond d'une combe, à moins de trois kilomètres de Sarlat. C'est très calme et les murs en pierres de la maison conservent la fraîcheur, ce qui est, avec la piscine, un grand atout de cette prestation. Par ailleurs, il ne manquait rien et la prise en charge s'est très bien passée.
