NEW is our two stall BOATDOCK perfect for fishing or drift fish with a guide for an experience of a lifetime. Fun on Bull Shoals Lake is a short drive away, where you can rent a pontoon, ski or fishing boat; enjoy kayaking or canoeing, hike or bike, all within 10 minutes.
THE PROPERTY
This 3-bedroom home sleeps up to 12. The home’s unique decor features hardwood flooring and several fish and game mounts for the full experience of the rustic Ozarks. With more than an acre of land for children to play, this home is ideal for a family vacation, guy’s fishing trip or even a girlfriends’ getaway. If you love the outdoors, you can bird watch without leaving the property. From the back patio, watch fishermen lazily drift by hoping for that for a tug on their line or relax and play a game of horseshoes to see who’s champion for the day. As nighttime approaches be sure to catch the fog as it rolls in; it’s magnificent, especially by a bonfire making a few s’mores with your crew..
The home has a fully stocked kitchen, dining area that seats 6 and breakfast area that seats 4. Enjoy your morning coffee and view wildlife on the screened porch. A sunroom with a pass-through bar and a bar area with 3 bar stools overlooks the river! A washer and dryer are available, if needed. The master bedroom offers queen-sized bed, private bath, large walk-in closet, TV and stunning views of the river. Bedroom two offers a queen-sized bed and access to hall bath. Bedroom 3 offers 5 full beds, TV and access to the hall bath.
THE LOCATION
The location offers the best of both worlds: Close proximity to the White River and Bull Shoals Lake just minutes away. Bring your lake or river boat to maximize your stay at this riverfront property. Public boat ramps are close by for easy river launching. There are numerous areas suitable for bank and fly fishing. If you prefer the lake, check out one of two local marinas just minutes down the road! Don’t have a lake or river boat? You easily can rent a john boat or canoe/kayak for river fishing or floating. For the lake, rent a ski or bass boat, Jet Ski, or pontoon for the day at Lakeview Marina or Bull Shoals Lake Boat dock.
THINGS TO DO
Need a break from the lake or river be sure to check out Bull Shoals-White River State Park just down the road. The park offers hiking and biking tails, summer interpretive programs for children and adults, camping sites and the James A. Gaston Visitor Center. The center includes info on Bull Shoals Dam, a movie about the White River and museum displays. Bull Shoals Theater of the Arts offers a variety of different entertainment. Bull Shoals Caverns and Mountain Village 1890 is just 10 minutes away. The Twin Lakes Area also has various craft malls and antique stores.
For a quick meal or fine dining, we recommend:
• Gaston’s Restaurant overlooking the White River has a casual atmosphere with hundreds of antiques hanging throughout. The menu is fine dining, and attire is anything from jeans to tuxedos and everything in between. The restaurant is just 2 minutes from this home
• The 178 Club In Bull Shoals offers fine dining or casual dining in the bar area
• Beacon Point in Lakeview has a casual menu, bar and live music
• Bush’s Pizza In Bull Shoals offers pizza, salads and sub sandwiches
• Hank & Kate’s in Bull Shoals is open for breakfast and lunch with great homemade pastries and baked goods
• Connie’s Cafe in Bull Shoals is open for breakfast and lunch with fabulous daily specials
• Laura’s Mexican Kitchen in Bull Shoals has a full array of Mexican food from mild to spicy

• Just Jackie’s is a local favorite on the water if you’re having fun and don’t want to come off the water to eat.

I've been taking this trip for years and we landed with Gary and his White Riverfront Retreat four years ago. Love this house, love the location, love the dock. Super comfortable, super convenient, very peaceful. If you love to fish and have a boat in tow, this is definitely the spot for you to come. Gary is fantastic to deal with, very accommodating, great people. Every need is always met.

Very clean and well appointed and the owner left a few nice touches for us to enjoy like a fresh loaf of sourdough and goodies to make smores. The yard was maintained and nice for our Italian Greyhound. Back windows in river room did not lock as well as a couple others in other areas of the home. We enjoyed our stay and the liked the Proximity to Gastons Restaurant. Very cool to see the private planes come and go for dining and guide fishing. .

The riverbank was grown up with WEEDS 6- feet tall making impossible to enjoy the river's edge or even take a dip or fish, also steps walking down to the dock to try and go to the river's edge was missing & dangerous. The biting bugs ate us up! The dock was almost too tall to step in and out of a boat.... Someone with bad knees forget it!! Would love to provide a picture but there is no place to do that, the shower in the Master bedroom was way too small it was a joke to try and get a nice shower......it was very hot outside, and it seemed the AC unit had to work 24 hrs. a day to keep up. Also, we felt like we were being watched every minute cause they cameras on the front & back of the home... So, no privacy at all. We made several attempts to let them know the recliner in the love seat was in op and light bulbs were out in the home.
WEEDS 6 or 7 foot tall, no place to walk to rivers edge!!! WEEDS & MORE WEEDS!

Beautiful getaway

This place sits directly on the white river. The fog would come each morning then slowly lift. The river is so beautiful. Quiet. Short drive to the boat launch. The house was clean and very well stocked. Owners were very responsive. Beautiful, relaxing place. We all loved it.

The house was decorated so well. So many little touches. Had everything we could need right there. The covered dock was great! The wildlife we saw was awesome. Communication with the property owners was timely and answered all questions.

Premier Location

I've been staying at this location for the last three years and the dock addition made this year's trip extremely convenient and enjoyable. Grab your gear, grab your coolers, down the hill to the dock, load your boat and you're off. Love it! Outdoor space is fantastic. Great outdoor firepit. Screened in porch for your fishing gear. We always love staying here when we meet family at the state park for a reunion. Anytime of the year, the back sitting room facing the river is so peaceful. Quiet location and very private. Just perfect for a weekend getaway.

Stayed here celebrating my brother’s bachelor party and could not have been happier with our stay. The property is beautiful and very peaceful. The house is very clean, plenty of your day to day things to cook with, towels, and provided everything we needed for a very enjoyable visit. Backing up to the river we couldn’t help but just sit out and enjoy a fire and BBQ as well as hook into some great Trout! Already looking forward to future trips here.

Fishing and Fun

All transitions are very smooth, great responses and Gary is very accommodating! This property is fantastic, either for families or fishing groups. We were a group of six friends that fish, had three boats in tow, plenty of room. Have been coming to white river for just over 21 years and so glad we landed at Garys place. Gorgeous views of the river, fantastic fire pit for those colder evenings or if you just love to burn wood all day like we do, large screened in porch area for all your fishing gear, waders, boots, coolers etc. to stay out of the elements. The interior is very comfortable, the decor is on point especially with the location and the views from inside are panoramic. We look forward to the new addition of a dock, we've been here multiple times and will be returning for sure on future trips!

Why they chose this property

We have both grew up in the Bull Shoals Lake/White River Area and our passion has always been to live on the White River. The more time you spend on the river the more you appreciate the captivating river views. We didn't realize how much wildlife there is and how it changes every minute. One minute the trout will be jumping right in front of you, next a blue hereon flying by followed by beavers making their way to their favorite tree and final the local eagle searching for the next meal. I can't tell you how many times we've seen an eagle diving for a trout. The only way to truly appreciate the river is being there in person. We love it so much we've decided to build our forever home just down the street.

The incredible views of the White River and the every changing wildlife scenes change by the minute are absolutely breathe taking. In the evening the fog rolling in changes the entire experience. Enjoy gathering on the patio grilling your favorite meal or have a bonfire roasting marshmallows. The open floor plan is ideal for groups along with the river room & screened-in porch. Our families have enjoyed many holidays and birthdays at the home and it's perfect!
