Comfortable and spotless suite

Alain’s property was exactly as pictured + described. We found it to be very comfortable, immaculately clean, and in a great location. The pool was an added benefit, and very enjoyable on hot August afternoons! Alain and Alexandra were really lovely hosts too. Definitely recommend this rental!

Absolutely Perfect Hub for South of France Exploration

What a charming space for taking in the bounty of the region! Proximity to our daily destinations was a key driver, but I cannot over-emphasize how wonderful it was to have a pool for afternoon dips during the heatwave, as well as air conditioning for summer nights. The patio in the garden was perfect for a bottle of wine or a coffee while planning the next day’s itinerary. Simply a perfect setup for a visit, with a gracious host. Highly recommended.

Beautiful house, garden and pool

We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was perfect. Thank you Alain for being a wonderful host! It is an ideal location to spend time in Aix-en-Provence and the surrounding areas. We drove into town and we’re able to find parking. Although we could not park directly at the house, the parking down some steps was only 1 minute walk away. The house is very pretty and the pool is fantastic - we loved our stay. Thank you!

Paradise in Provence

Minutes away from everything you want in Aix En Provence, this idyllic private setting is the perfect home base for exploring the region. Less than. An hour to anywhere we wanted to go, with everything we needed and more. The pool was a special treat. Many thanks for the hospitality and sharing your lovely part of the world, we miss it already!

Delightful property

We were very happy with this property. It is private and could spend our time very independently, but also had the benefit of a private swimming pool to cool off at the end of busy days. It is situated on the outskirts of town, but about 12 minute drive from central Aix. A few stores are walkable for essential purchases. Access to highways closeby and easy access to regional tourist locations, e.g. Avignon, Rhône Valley history and wine tastings. Other Southern France coastal attractions also very reachable within the hour. Different, even interesting layout inside the home, very comfortable with cooking, refrigeration, laundry capabilities. Loved this trip. Would certainly do this the same way again. Thank-you Alain and Alexandra for your generous hospitality.

Mooi zwembad

Het was niet wat wij gehoopt hadden. Dat heeft werkelijk niets met de eigenaren te maken, maar meer onze eigen behoefte aan ruimte en wat wij gewend zijn. Het feit dat je de tuin en zwembad deelt met de eigenaren, die zich overigens heel bescheiden zich opstellen, dat was ons vooraf niet geheel duidelijk.

Lovely time!

Alain Pierre was an amazing host and really took care of us. It was clean and he was attentive when we had any questions. What you see in the pictures is very much what you get. The pool was very nice and his property very clean with more than enough supplies (hairdryer, pots, pans, etc) all in working order. I would definitely stay again!

Une très belle semaine à Aix en Provence !

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette maison. Le cadre est parfait et appelle à la détente, tout en étant très proche du centre ville d’Aix en Provence (moins de 10 min en voiture). La maison est très agréable, il n’y a rien à redire ! Le terrain et la piscine sont partagés avec Alain Pierre, qui a su se montrer à la fois disponible et très discret. Nous le remercions à nouveau pour son accueil et ses conseils. Nous reviendrons !

Just spent a wonderful week staying at this apartment and would thoroughly recommend.

We are a recently semi-retired couple travelling around England France Spain Portugal and this property very much suited our needs. It was exactly as advertised, Alain Pierre was courteous and available if needed and there were no problems at all. In Aix-En-Provence the apartment is in a non-built up area and although this meant it lacked the village / rustic atmosphere some might seek, it was a very quite avenue with drinks in the garden while having a swim in the pool ever afternoon and completely catered for our needs. Its position made it a very convenient stepping off point for day trips by car deeper into the countryside as well as visiting Cannes, Nice, St Tropez, Montpelier and Marseilles on day excursions all of which we did. We mostly self catered but easily visited Aix restaurant area a few times with good advice from Alain. Very happy to recommend this property

Idylle en Provence

Si vous cherchez les environs complètement beaux et paisibles mais aussi avec Aix et touts ses délices à 25 minutes à pied (temps max dans une canicule !), l'accommodation bien considérée, bien tenue et avec pleines de touches personnelles et utiles; la bastide de Alain Pierre et Alexandra est l'une pour vous. Alain Pierre et Alexandra sont les hôtes parfaits; toujours disponible mais toujours discrets (juste comme leur chien adorable et calme !). Alain Pierre a fait le temps d'arriver plus tôt pour nous bienvenir après notre trajet et il a fourni gentiment une bouteille excellente de terroir et beaucoup de suggestions géniales (restos, idées pour activities dans la région etc.) pour notre séjour. Merci bien Alain Pierre & Alexandra - on a adoré notre séjour dans votre paradis Provençale !

Très bon logement avec quelques inconvénients mineurs.

Logement spacieux et confortable avec une belle piscine dans un très beau jardin. Accueil convivial, mais l'environnement immédiat de la maison est peu agréable (place non réservée de parking à 300m sur le trottoir, centre historique à 30mn de marche, travaux à proximité).

Un havre de paix à Aix

Jolie bastide au calme à 30 mn à pied du centre historique d’Aix. Merci aux propriétaires pour votre accueil, pour les nombreuses petites attentions et pour votre logement très bien équipé et spacieux. Maison propre, spacieuse et bien équipée

Nous avons passé une petite semaine dans la propriété d'Alain Pierre. Nous avons été très bien accueilli. La maison est spacieuse, lumineuse, propre et cela a évidemment participé au fait que nous ayons énormément apprécié notre séjour dans la région. La discrétion du propriétaire vous fera vous sentir comme chez vous. Pour visiter Aix et sa région, la maison est idéalement placée dans un environnement calme. Un petit centre commercial (boulangerie, pharmacie, épicerie, poste...) est situé à 5 minutes à pieds.

Très agréable maison située près d'Aix. Accès rapide pour visiter la région. Les hôtes sont adorables et ont la volonté de faire plaisir. Piscine très chouette mais nous n'avons pas pu en profiter compte tenu de notre date de séjour. A recommander et nous y retournerons avec grand plaisir aux beaux jours !

Wonderful house in the hills of Aix-en-Provence

We spent 10 days in this beautiful house. It is located a little outside of Aix (25 minutes to the center of the city) in a calm neibourhood. A bakery is a few minutes down the hill, the supermarket is a little farther away. The interior of the house is modern and everything is clean and in order. On the terrace you can enjoy your breakfasts and the pool and its surroundings is perfect for a calm afternoon or to cool down after the day! Alain Pierre is really nice and helpful. We enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend it any time!

Nous avons passé un magnifique séjour! Nous avons été superbement bien accueillis :) La maison était très propre et parfaite pour un couple sans enfant. Vacances Paisibles

Nous recondamnons vivement le logement de Alain Pierre qui est un hôte très sympathique. Le logement est spacieux, la terrasse à l’ombre des arbres nous a permis de déjeuner et dîner tous les jours dehors. Nous avons profitez pleinement du jardin et de la piscine. One week in paradise

Maison située à 30 minutes à pied du centre de Aix. Desservie par les transports en commun. Stationnement facile dans la rue parallèle.
