About this property

18th century renovated farmhouse situated in a quiet farming hamlet

Beautiful renovated 18th century Farmhouse with it's beamed ceilings and exposed 'tofu' stone walls sits in an acre of gardens, welcomes you to come and enjoy the Anjou region with is many attractions. We are situated in a small peaceful farming hamlet with lovely views of the open countryside, with it's winding lanes to explore by bike or foot.

The gite is fully equipped, very spacious and furnished to an extremely high standard to provide all the home comforts to ensure that our guests can enjoy that well earned holiday.

The area outside of the gite is paved and landscaped and provides plenty of seating in both the sun and shade and there is a barbecue so that you can enjoy out door dining.
In front of the gite is a 5 mtr x 1.2 mtr overground pool which provides a perfect place to cool off during the hot summer months and for children to splash and play around in. In our second garden, “our play area” which is well equipped for both children to run around and adults to relax, there is a a trampoline, table tennis, swings, swing ball & badminton net along with bats, balls & outside games. This garden is also home to our vegetable garden which provide fresh produce for us and our guests to enjoy during their stay,

An assortment of adult bikes are are available for our guests to use during their stay.

Inside the gite there is TV with both French & English channels.

We are right in the heart of the countryside but only 5km from the beautiful historic town of Montreuil Bellay with it's chateau, river thouet and a selection of shops, restaurants & bars.

The major attractions of this part of the Loire are within a short distance from the farmhouse, such as chateaux, musuems, parcs, troglodytes, lakes, swimming, amusement parcs, rivers, fishing, canoeing, horse riding, wine tours, cylce paths, zoo, karting & golf. The location, area and the farmhouse make this a perfect holiday spot for families and couples.

Loire is famous for it's wines and wine trails start from our farmhouse, these will allow you to discover our beautiful villages and take in a tour or two at one of the many vineyards.

Keith and Julie are the best hosts. Nothing is too much trouble and is always done with a smile and laugh. A great base to explore the region, which we hope to return to.

An Ideal base

The property was clean and comfy. We took advantage of it's ideal position to visit chateau 's and cycle to the nearby town. It was also a short drive to the nearest river for .kayak. The owners who lived next door were very friendly and helpful. Would stay again if we visit the area in the future.

Unser Aufenthalt war hervorragend. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Die Unterkunft ist super eingerichtet und sehr groß. Sie ist ideal fĂŒr 4-5 Personen. Tolles AußengelĂ€nde und viele Möglichkeiten zur Freizeitgestaltung vor Ort und in der NĂ€he. Sie ist sehr ruhig gelegen. Die Vermieter sind super nett und hilfsbereit.

Le gßte était trÚs propre à notre arrivée. Il est trÚs bien équipé, tout le nécessaire est disponible. A l'extérieur, beaucoup de jeux sont disponibles pour les enfants (et les adultes...). Petite précision : il n'y a pas de vélos enfants, contrairement à ce que précise l'annonce (à savoir pour ceux qui font le choix de ne pas prendre les vélos de leurs enfants...). En bref, tout est là pour passer un agréable séjour.

Les propriétaires sont vraiment trÚs sympathique et disponible à chaque instant. Chouette longĂšre en pleine campagne

Nous avons été trÚs bien accueillis par Julie et son mari avec qui nous avons un peu pratiqué l'anglais. Chouette piscine ouverte quand il fait chaud. Super jardin avec plusieurs jeux. La cour est partagée avec les habitants de la chambre d'hÎte et les propriétaires. Le séjour était un plaisir !

Gite spacieux, trÚs propre et bien équipé . Les enfants ont bcp apprécié le jardin avec trampoline, balançoire et jeux de balles, la piscine est sympa mais non chauffée donc assez froide malgré tout car on était loin de la canicule en ce mois de juillet 2021. Situé au milieu des champs, il faut donc utiliser la voiture pour sortir mais c'est trÚs calme, repos assuré.

Nous n'avons pas vu le temps passer pendant notre semaine Ă  Montreuil Bellay. Merci Ă  Julie et Keith pour leur accueil trĂšs sympathique. Le gĂźte est d'une propretĂ© irrĂ©prochable, trĂšs bien Ă©quipĂ© et trĂšs bien situĂ© pour profiter du calme de la campagne et des chateaux aux alentours : Montreuil Bellay, BrĂ©zĂ© (notre favori), Saumur, Chinon, Azay le Rideau... Nous avons apprĂ©ciĂ© la piscine (parfaite pour les petits comme les grands, avec des matelas, crocos, bouĂ©es gonflables !), le jardin de jeux, les poules, les vaches et moutons autour (pour le plaisir des enfants), l'environnement et les ballades en vĂ©lo disponibles sur place, les mĂ»res Ă  profusion, nos Ă©changes avec Julie et Keith toujours souriants et prĂȘts Ă  donner de bons conseils (avec en plus l'occasion de pratiquer l'anglais !) :) Au plaisir d'y retourner un jour.
