A charming house with beautiful vineyard and Bergerac views. The two well-equipped kitchens and the coffee/tea stations in two bedrooms were very convenient. We enjoyed the large, comfortable beds and the sunny, sheltered pool area. Note that the property has many stairs and no separate living room. The host, Corrine, was welcoming and easily reachable.

Spacious property but steps could be a problem

Overall we enjoyed our stay here however the layout of the property caused us some difficulties. There are two very spacious en-suite bathrooms however there is only 1 WC which is shared between the 4 very spacious bedrooms. We were not expecting there to be only 1 WC, the property details could have forewarned us of this. The beds were very comfortable. There are 2 kitchens one indoor and 1 outdoor although during our stay only the outdoor was setup for us which wasn't a problem as it had everything we needed although the oven wasn't clean. Both kitchens are 2 flights of steep stairs away from the bedrooms or living area. The living area is actually a large corridor between the four bedrooms. The steps are not ideal for transporting luggage up and down and I would have been concerned if we had children with us. Each bedroom has an aircon unit however you don't have any control over individual rooms as the temperature is pre-set by the owner. He did not pass us the remote control units for us to be able to set it to our own desired temperatures. This was not ideal as the air con never kicked in while we were there and the outside daytime temperatures were over 30 degrees. The bedrooms were therefore far too warm. The swimming pool and surrounding area were very good. The VRBO property details should be updated to clarify there are additional charges to use the hot tub and the electric bikes. .

Très bien, s'il fait beau

Accueil très agréable avec une bouteille de Monbazillac bien fraîche. La terrasse et la piscine sont superbes. Le lieu est probablement paradisiaque s'il fait beau. Mais en cas de pluie, la pièce de vie est en sous sol. Peu lumineuse et on ne peut pas ouvrir la fenêtre. La table ne permet pas de manger à neuf personnes. Le lave vaisselle se trouve à l’extérieur. Il faut donc monter l'étage, arriver sur le pallier à l'extérieur et redescendre, (en l’occurrence le plus souvent sous la pluie jusqu'à la cuisine d'été.) J'ajoute que le propriétaire a fait des travaux dans le logement (pose de cadres dans les chambres et d'étagères dans la pièce à vivre) dont il ne nous avait pas parlé au moment de la réservation. En résumé, si vous êtes un groupe nombreux, ne réservez que si vous avez des prévisions météo favorables.
