Loved the location - was able to walk to many different restaurants - just steps from the beach also. The pool was great - very clean. The condo was nice - a little dated - view from balcony was great. BYO pillow!!

Great stay

Really enjoyed our stay. Loved that we were able to hop down to the beach at any time! Pool was open and great for the kids. The muffuletta shop across the road was awesome! Location of condo was great to all the fun stuff.

Wonderful location with a spectacular view of the ocean. Easy access to beach, close to restaurants and shopping. Condo was clean , neat and roomy. Definitely will stay again!

Condo was very nice, spacious and very clean. It is within walking distants from alot of places, beach is right outside the condo, pool is nice. We had a very relaxing time and will be going back again. Highly recommend!!

Fall break trip

We brought our teenage grandson and his friend for Fall break. The condo is perfect for kids and families, great beachfront property and a nice pool! We were within walking distance to The Hangout and several restaurants and shops. We all had a great time, Gulf State park is so close and so much to do there, too!

Soccer Tourney and Beach Fun

Overall we had an amazing stay! Access to the pool and beach was immediate upon exiting the elevator. Multiple restaurants and shopping were within walking distance. Condo was spacious and exceeded our needs with having 3 adults and 5 kids. We will definitely book again in the future!

Perfect!!

The condo itself was amazing; exactly as described. So much within walking distance. A huge selection of “take a toy leave a toy” for at the beach. Only issue, which was not with the condo, was the elevator which would get stuck. Would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful Stay

My kids and I had the most wonderful stay here last week. Everything was perfect. You absolutely can’t beat the location as it’s convenient to everything. The pool is wonderful and the beach is just steps away as well. Save money on dolphin tours and just enjoy your coffee on the balcony! We saw dolphins most mornings. We’ve been coming to Gulf Shores for almost 40 years and the Castaways is home away from home. The owners were wonderful; very responsive and so accommodating. We can’t wait to go back! Thanks for everything!

Great Condo

Ty And Christina were excellent and always answered any question quickly and politely. I especially thought they were such good hosts, because of all the helpful little touches of homey items like coffee, extra dishwasher tablets, washing machine powder, and the lovely colored towels. Overall we had a nice stay. Owners communicated quickly. Unit had everything promised, and was clean. Parking could be better; as noted in other reviews. The building and unit are very dated and old. A few things in the condo could stand to be replaced. Mattresses were very old.

Oceanfront Comfort

We had a wonderful stay at the condo. We were oceanfront and had a beautiful view. Space, rooms, etc. exactly as detailed. Beds were comfortable. Pool was warm, convenient, and partially shaded which was great for a break from the sun. Only negative was the parking. We brought a truck and when we found one of the few decent spots we didn't want to leave/drive after that. While there were more than enough places in walking distance, a less stressful parking situation would be great (not, obviously, within owners control) so we could've felt better driving and exploring other areas.

Great location right on the beach

The condo is right on the beach; the beach out of the condo was not crowded like hotels and resorts a few buildings down. Restaurants & shopping were within walking distance or a short drive, depending on where you wanted to eat or shop. The condo was clean and spacious enough for the six of us. Having a full kitchen was nice for breakfasts & lunches. We knew there was not a hot tub when we booked, but we found we missed not having one to relax in at night. The day of our arrival we were notified that the condo was being shown to potential buyers and that they would be entering the condo during our stay. The pool had both sun and shade areas (part was under the building), which was nice so we could still enjoy the pool when we didn’t want to get any more sun during the day. Everything advertised was as is with this condo and overall we were very happy with our stay.

Wonderful stay at perfect Gulf Shores condo for family trip

Stayed for 3 nights with my daughters. The condo was exactly as described, comfortable, clean, great view, and all that we needed. The pool was nice and accessible, beach access couldn’t be easier, and located near lots of restaurants and shops. We’ll definitely consider coming back.

Excellent Location, Affordable Rate, Comfortable Condo

We stayed in Castaways 8B from 09.11.2024 through 09.16.2024. Things of note: the coffee maker is a drip coffee maker, there is a great blow dryer in the master bathroom, the water pressure was excellent, internet worked fine. The appliances and ice maker worked great. 8B was clean and quiet with plenty of pots, pans, dishes, and clean kitchen and bathroom linens. There were menus and money saving coupons in the kitchen—we saved money at restaurants and attractions. Castaways was clean and safe and the property was well-maintained. The beach was clean and the water was clear. There is a toy box on the property near the pool for toys—take one/leave one. I prefer the smaller, boutique feel of Castaways vs the mega condominium complexes. I would definitely recommend Castaways 8B and our host Ty responded quickly to my questions. It was 10/10 vacation, only steps to the beach and nearby to so much fun, food, and shopping.
