Located on the grounds of the boutique Quinta Real Resort, this ocean front villa delivers a private, luxurious escape in a prime location, with access to the on-site amenities. A part of the My Huatulco Vacation collection of properties, Villa Eugenio overlooks the nature reserve, with stunning views of Tangolunda Bay and is only minutes away from Santa Cruz. This property seamlessly combines the privacy of a vacation rental with the convenience of a resort-style vacation. Fantastic Stay!!

It's an understatement to say this house is stunning! Incredible view and very peaceful. Rossy and Gude were super nice and fantastic cooks. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in Huatulco.

Nice Villa

Beautiful property and location. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was nice and well maintained and we never ran out of fresh pool towels. A couple things that could use attention are one bedroom on the lower level had a musty smell, and we really missed having an outdoor grill as the kitchen would get to hot for comfort. Overall it was a pleasant stay

Awesome view of the bay!

Perfect layout for 4 couples / 8 adults. Drew for the rooms as the primary is far superior than the others. Open concept with large table and sitting areas for us to enjoy. Manuel our chef was wonderful as was the food. Overall we were happy, a good walk back up the hill and took short taxi rides into La Cruecacita. Our TG Bay Area by the hotels was a very quiet peaceful area, no nightlife of any sort.

Citrolene trogons, orioles, kiskadees and magpie jays live in the trees around the house. The house itself is lovely, all but the bedrooms, kitchen and bathrooms are open to the view of the bay. Having the pool to jump into after morning walks was great. Some minor maintenance issues. Housekeeper and maid were excellent. Very relaxing place to stay.

Martha the Property Manager, is a superstar and went above & beyond to help answer our questions!! We will be back! Our only issues were: there was little to no water pressure in the shower in the main floor bathroom, and that the window coverings really need to be replaced as they are very dated and stained. In the big picture these are just small issues.

Beautiful Place But needs some maintenance !

The place is absolutely beautiful the views are amazing. But beware there are 20 some stairs to get into to it there are no handrails, in addition to these stairs if you have to use all of the bedrooms three of them are down another 20 some stairs with no handrails. If you are looking for a hot shower that is not going to happen, the showers trickle ,there is no water pressure. Sometimes you my have hot water sometimes cold. The kitchen has no hot water. If cold shower are your thing than I would difinitely recommend it. it is beautiful! Beware don't rent are car from them, they give you a car that is not appropriate for going to the beaches, than they charge you for normal wwear and

About the car, we dont know what you mean about the car not neing appripiate for going to the beaches. Our provider has different cars. In high season all are them are boked. Maybe if you would specify you wanted to go to beaches with not an easy access we should have tried to get you a truck. All he beaches in Huatulco has access for cars and the other ones not close from here also can be reached by a regular car. Again, thank you so much and we hope to see you soon! Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a mixed review I will start with the positive. It is definitely a million dollar view, best in the city. The pool is beautiful with some issues below. The outdoor space is attractive and the bird watching spectacular. The location is good. The management company is responsive. The beds are fine and the house is kept generally clean. Now the bad. The property needs A LOT of work. As a few examples, the shower head in the guest room barely drizzles. Chairs and fans are falling apart and failing. The wood railing around the house needs lots of work (a bit scary on the lower balconies). The mirrors are all chipped. The air conditioners on the patio are both dead, if they functioned it would make it much more livable when it is 96 with 75% humidity like it was this April. The pool is not run except maybe when the pool guy is there, making it basically a nice pond as there is no ongoing circulation or skimming. They keep it clean by using chemicals and daily cleaning, otherwise it would be a real problem, the floor is somewhat slimy. It is hard to tell from the pictures, but there is NO inside or air conditioned living space except the bedrooms. All the rest is outside, not air conditioned and with not very effective fans. The kitchen, while inside, is not air conditioned so basically a sweat box. There MANY bats living in the palapa roof, leaving PILES of droppings every morning. Despite multiple requests for these to be cleaned First thing, they were often still there at 11 a.m. and there is no way to avoid stepping in them as they are everywhere. If these things were fixed it would be an amazing experience, as is, just ok.

Beautiful place but poorly maintained and beware of extras

Would book through a reputable site so you get some protection and not from myhuatulco.Pros:1. The house is gorgeous. Beautiful rooms and layout. Views are incredible and private pool is luxurious (when it's safe to use; see comments below).2. Walking distance to Tangolunda beach and to restaurants.3. Cheap cab ride into town and markets.4. Full kitchen and laundry.4. Awesome insight staff for cleaning and general help.Cons:1. Poorly maintained infrastructure;house built in the late 80s with some minor upgrades but needs work. Specifically the electric system is old and dangerous. Outlets lose, some fans missing blades and my mom got zapped in the pool due to a poorly grounded cable that had live current. She's OK but got thrown a few feet. We got lucky. We also lost ACs and water for a day. Not holding my breath for a refund.2. Don't bother with the extras. They are a rip off. The chef service the first night was great. Great food and $20 a head but then gets ridiculous expensive after that. Also skip the pantry service. I got there and they had $600 worth of receipts and demanded cash on the spot for food u can get yourself for a third of the cost. That plus the $100 for the service. Total rip off. Suggest u grab a cab and go to Chedraui or Soriana and stock up. You'll have fun and save a ton.3. It's inside the Quinta Real resort but there is Zero reciprocity. The house is a separate business and even though they insinuate in the ads that you have access to the resort, they charge $50 per day per person if u want access to the beach club. Also, while the food at the Quinta restaurant is good, the hotel itself is also in serious disrepair. In fairness you don't need the hotel but just know it's extra if u want access.

Regarding your additional comments, we understand that services upgrades are not for all groups and many enjoy the experience of shopping in the local grocery stores. The process of how the pantry stocking service works was described in advance of your stay and groceries stocked by our team are not marked-up, as evidence by the associated receipts provided. That said, you're right that sometimes cheaper alternatives can be found if you're doing your own shopping and are open to substitutes! Our goal is to work with guests on creating the vision for their vacation that they want, and every group is different! Finally, beach access from the property is FREE, however as described in the listing, if you would like to use the Resort Pools and Restaurant, purchasing a day pass is required. The cost is $50 USD/person per day, with $40 USD returning to you as a food and beverage credit. Awful, filthy, smelly and poorly maintained . Do not stay here.

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home needs some serious work. From minor repairs to dangerous and unsafe conditions. The view is gorgeous, but that’s the only positive. You do see a lot of wildlife but that also comes with large tarantulas, snakes, scorpions, and coati. All of which were inside the home, so just something to be aware of. One room is uninhabitable, the smell is so horrific, we couldn’t open the door. Thankfully we only needed 3 rooms. The stove in the kitchen isn’t attached to the counter, the counter top was broken in both the kitchen and master bedroom. Many of the lights were burnt out. Trees were overgrown and the pool was dirty and always full of debris. The whole home was filthy. No facecloths, and the towels they did have were stained, sheets were stained, drapes were dirty and torn. White bathmat in the main bathroom was stained brown and not changed for days, nor were the dishcloths. There was a bath mat thrown outside and stuck in a tree, likely from a previous guest. Hot water was mostly non existent and the drains were all backed up, toilets wouldn’t flush. We couldn’t stay and ended up having to find alternate accommodations. After much back and forth, and extremely unprofessional responses, we finally had a manager show up with a bottle of wine and offered a free meal cooked in the house (we wouldn’t eat anything out of that kitchen), or a free yacht tour that both turned out to be “unavailable” for the duration of our stay. The manager was very understanding, and seemed genuinely horrified with the deplorable conditions but was unable to offer more than a 30% discount, despite us leaving the home halfway through our stay. This is not our first time in Huatulco, so we are well aware of what to expect and we have never had an issue prior to this. The views from the the outdoor areas and pool is absolutely stunning. The pool was kept impeccably clean during our stay. The location is perfectly set in Tangolunda ( one of my favourite areas in Huatulco), walking distance to some fabulous restaurants and shops. The crew at my Huatulco Vacations were as amazing as always, quick to respond to any questions we had. The owner should do a little updating and thoroughly clean the house, washing walls and windows. This was really our only complaint. Can’t wait to come back!

Winter Vacation with Friends

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location and view were superb. The cleanliness was excellent. The beds were very comfortable. The arrival chef service and pantry stocking was very helpful and highly recommended. The kitchen cupboards, oven, dining room chairs and lounge chairs are in desperate need of a refurbishment or replacement. Perhaps more lounge chairs (only 3) would be a good investment since the villa can accommodate 8 guests. We could connect to the wifi but it was not connected to the internet. The rules for the use of the resort pool, pool service and beach service was confusing. I would recommend this property to a friend if the items needing attention were fixed.

Booking went super smoothly thanks to Gabriella and Claudia! Every one from the transportation staff to Mayrelit, the house manager, was really kind and helpful. Setting up excursion, chef services and COVID tests were super easy thanks to Claudia. If I needed anything they were there to assist. The villa itself is WAAAAYYYY better than the pictures and the photos were amazing. My friend and I thought we were at a welcome center at first lol. This stay was everything I needed and more! I have literally told everyone I know what this rental and would definitely come back!
