Maui Sands is a hidden gem near Kapalua, a family-friendly property with a handful of buildings and beautiful grounds full of tropical plantings, mature trees, and warm breezes. Enjoy amazing ocean views, sunsets, and wildlife watching from this well provisioned condo. The view spans the Au'au channel and encompasses a view of the island of Molokai and the north side of the island of Lanai. Maui Sands is the lowest density property on West Maui and is one of the only low-rise resorts off the world famous Ka’anapali Beach.

Condo Amenities of Note: • Recently fully remodeled, tastefully decorated in contemporary Hawaiian style. • • Brand new (July 2024) air conditioning with independent control units in each bedroom and the living room. • Noise reducing insulation sprayed into all ceilings (August 2023) to add privacy and reduce sounds from neighbors and exterior. • A large flat-screen TV, cable, DVD player, and free high-speed internet. • Dream kitchen with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, island/eating bar, and an abundance of counter space. • Fully appropriated kitchen, complete with enough plates and bowls you won’t need to wash dishes between meals, dishes for toddlers, plates and silverware for kids, brand new crock pot, and an extensive collection of cooking gear, down to the rolling pin! • Lovely large lanai has a patio table and chairs for al fresco dining, as well as chaise lounge chairs. • Ceiling fans and floor fans in the living room and the bedrooms. • On the lanai you will find a bin stuffed with beach chairs, snorkel gear, beach toys and shoes. The unit also has coolers and beach towels available for your use. • The unit provides one assigned parking spot directly in front of the condo. • Keyless entry lock. • There are NO resort or parking fees.
Maui Sands Property Amenities • No Resort or Parking Fees: Experience a hassle-free stay with no additional resort or parking fees. • Private Pool: Maui Sands features safe swimming areas in both the pool, and the ocean thanks to the Kahekilli Marine Reserve that fronts the resort. The pool area also has an ice machine, soda machine, picnic tables, the property 'library', changing room/bathroom, and an outdoor shower. • BBQ Area: Socialize with fellow guests and enjoy outdoor dining at one of three BBQ areas. Lounge chairs surround the pool and BBQ grilling area. The area also features covered seating area to one side for relaxing, outdoor eating, and visiting. • On-site Laundry Facilities: Pack light! Conveniently located, the shared laundry facilities make it easy to keep your clothes fresh during your stay. (coin operated or card via an app) • Within walking distance is a grocery store, natural food store, farmers market, coffee shops, spa, world class restaurants, including Dukes, Roy’s, the Hula Grill, Miso Phat sushi, the Maui Brewing Company and much more. The Whalers Village is nearby with many shops, restaurant/bars, and lovely beach. • World class golf courses are just a short drive away, including the Plantation Course in Kapalua, less than six miles north, and the Kāʻanapali Golf Courses only three miles south. • A beautiful walking/jogging pathway through the Ka'anapali area has fabulous scenery for miles. • Boss Frog’s is across the street for renting snorkel gear or a bike.
A perfect place to relax and unwind, this ocean front condo complex has a glimpse of a view of the ocean from the very private lanai. With tropical garden views in every direction and the sound of the waves in the background, relax and enjoy. The condo’s large lanai has a very private feel but is still open to the beautiful, lush gardens of the complex. A few dozen steps to the left and you are oceanside at the seawall. This oceanfront gathering place is a wonderful, warm spot to visit and watch the whales and sunsets.
The Maui Sands complex is the very last resort from which you can walk on the beach for miles, all the way down to Black Rock in Kāʻanapali. Steps into the ocean make it easy to swim and snorkel in the reefs right out front. Soft sandy beach right out front when the tide is low. Since we are at the end of a 3-mile-long stretch of beach, our shoreline changes depending on currents and storm systems far away. Typically, during the summer months, the ocean currents move the sand north towards our property and our beach grows. This is due to the increased tropical activity south of the islands. During the winter months the Alaskan storm systems push the current and the sand south towards Kāʻanapali and our beach comes and goes. During those months, the ocean entrance is rocky, though sandy beaches are within walking distance (1 block north or 2 blocks south) and others a short drive away.
Beyond the Kahekilli Marine Reserve that fronts the resort is the Hawaiian Humpback Whale Sanctuary with the densest concentration of humpbacks in all of the Hawaiian Islands. If your stay is in the winter, between mid-November to mid-April you may see humpback whales teaching their newborns to swim. Spinner dolphins, sea turtles, eagle rays, and endangered Hawaiian monk seals can be spotted year-round. Out front, the double volcanic reefs break the waves into bathtub calmness during low tides making it one of the best spots in Maui for toddlers to play in safety. Year round you can surf, kayak, snorkel, and swim right at Maui Sands.
Maui Sands is located at the border of North Kāʻanapali Beach and Honokōwai areas of the island. We are right on the ocean in west Maui, a few minutes north of Kāʻanapali and just south of the Kapalua area. The resorts next to Maui Sands are the Papakea Resort and Paki Maui.

Beautiful spacious unit, clean and well stocked including lots of pool and beach equipment. Really nice to have 2 roomy bathrooms for 3 adults. Would stay here again
The location of this condo was ideal for the start of our family’s Maui vacation. The condo was located in a quiet complex with a nice pool and excellent set up for watching the ocean and the whales!
Location was perfect for walking to shops and food. Older condo but in good condition. Little hard to get down to the water as it was high tide a lot of the time but we were able to enjoy beach time regardless.
My family and I enjoyed our stay here. The location was great. Checkin was super easy. The property was clean and fully stocked for all our needs. Will definitely come back.

My three boys and I had a great stay. Walking distance to some restaurants and ABC Store and a 5-10 minute drive to Black rock and Whaler’s Village. Very clean, very responsive host and had great pool/beach toys, chairs, an umbrella and even beach towels. Recommend!

We travelled here with our 4 kids ages 2-9 and it was great. My husband and I rarely see eye to eye on a place being a good size and niceness (generally his standards are much higher than mine.) We walked in the door and the first thing he said was "this is nice." It was a perfect location by beaches, great food options, and the other people staying in the complex were very nice and friendly. Overall the experience was great. We will definitely be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in West Maui for 11 nights mid Jan 23’. The unit is clean and well stocked so made cooking a breeze. Was hot all week so the pool, which was clean and tidy came in handy in the late afternoon after excursions. Great spot as a home base to get to nearby surf spots and other beaches.
We ran into a couple issues but they were taken care quickly and the property manager was very pleasant and responsive. We have a great weekend.

We love the outdoors and especially the beaches in Maui. We can't imagine anything better than starting our day on the lanai with coffee, snorkling with turtles and wrapping up the day grilling fresh fish for dinner. We find that Maui offers us the perfect balance of an active, relaxing, restorative vacation.
Why they chose this property
We love Hawai'i and Maui is our favorite island. Maui Sands is a slice of paradise with an old Hawaiian feel. The neighborhood has everything you will need and is within a short drive of excellent snorkling, great shopping and wonderful golf courses.
If you're looking for a tropical get-away with all the amenities of home, this is it! We love the gardens, the gourmet kitchen, and the pool. The ocean is steps from our door and the wonders of the island are all within reach.
What makes this property unique
Our beautiful condo is located in the ocean-front Maui Sands complex. The feel of the property is warm and inviting, a welcoming family get away. Parks, groceries, restaurants and shopping are all within walking distance. Unlike many other oceanfront condos in Maui, we no longer have light pollution at night. Enjoy the stars and sounds of the ocean as the night embraces you.
Maui Sands Seaside is centrally located between Kaanapali and Kapalua, where you can experience the world-class beaches and golf courses. We are also within minutes of a variety of restaurants, shopping and grocery stores. The local Fish market and Farmers market are extremely popular for both locals and visitors. The farmer's market provides fresh local fruit, vegetables, and organic foods; while the Fish market provides a fresh fish counter or you can take advantage of their delicious take-out menu. They do have some tables out in front, but seating is limited.
