Why they chose this property
We had been thinking about a holiday home for some time and as I fell in love with the Isle of Wight as a child I knew that is where our home had to be. I wanted to take my daughter to all the places I had visited as a child so we could share some wonderful memories.
The Old Village is the perfect balance of character and charm yet a stones throw from the beach it really is the best of both worlds!
Stoneydowns was for us, idyllic! Bursting with character, I loved the quirky parts of the house, such as the sloped ceilings on the top floor and the slightly wonky floor! The beautiful carved bookcase in the lounge was so unique too. It was also a blank canvas for us to put our stamp on and enable me to get creative! The cottage has such a warm and cosy feel we just love it and I am sure you will too. :0)

What makes this property unique
The cottage has many unique features we love. The views of the downs and the thatched roofs of the old village can be seen from the master and top floor bedroom. The roof terrace is so unusual and to sit out in the evening with a glass of wine is such a treat. Having the beach on our doorstep is wonderful and with so many pubs and restaurants within walking distance you are spoiled for choice! The cottage is so perfectly located you could simple leave your car and walk or take the bus should you wish to venture further afield.
