The Accommodation
The Barn and Bombers Farm date from the 16 century. The buildings are listed as being of historic and architectural interest.
The Barn was converted in 2001 to provide accommodation of the highest standard.It has been awarded the maximum 5 star rating by Tourism England. The original oak frame of the Barn has been retained, and there are oak floors and joinery throughout. All the rooms have plenty of natural light, and both lounges have large windows overlooking the open fields and ancient woodlands. Six people can be accommodated in three bedrooms. There is full central heating, and a soft water supply. All linen is provided. There are two televisions (one with a full range of satellite channels), a video, CD Player, DVD player, radio and payphone. Wireless broadband access for laptop computers is also provided. Cars can be parked directly in front of the Barn.
Ground Floor
Entrance hall. Master bedroom with king size bed (this can be split to form two single beds) and wardrobe. Shower room with high pressure shower , basin and w.c. Bathroom with bath and shower over, basin and w.c. Utility room with washing machine, dryer and freezer. Lounge which measures approximately 27ft x 12ft (9metres x 4m) with windows overlooking surrounding fields. Access door to private patio with table, chairs and gas barbecue. The entrance Hall and bathrooms have natural slate floors An antique spiral staircase leads to the first floor
First Floor
This is arranged as an L shaped open plan living and dining area (maximum dimensions 27ft x 24ft) and has an oak floor throughout. The ceiling is vaulted and the building's old oak frame is fully exposed. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with an electric cooker and hob, dishwasher, fridge and microwave oven. The dining area has a large table and six chairs. The lounge area has two large sofas and an armchair. Full height picture windows provide beautiful views over the surrounding fields and woodland. There are two bedrooms on this floor, each having two single beds and a wardrobe.
The Garden
The Barn overlooks open fields and woodlands which are accesible from the patio. Guests are free to use the large lawn at the rear of the Barn.
