Our Stay Experience
This property had fantastic reviews, so we booked it.
This was our experience-
spacious well located unit, clean. Comfortable sofa. dishwasher, fridge, crockery, aircon etc. communication pre arrival was good, easy handover.
However we had sleep issues. Bed was newish however, it had a plastic mattress protector over it which had gone quite hard, with nothing between it and the sheet , it made for an uncomfortable 5 nights. Owner told us to take it off - but not to damage the bed! further it took 3 days to get a pillowcase for the spare pillow. To top it all off, the bedroom streamed with light from the neighbours very bright external light, all night, due to a lack of covering on one of the bay window panes. Apparently we were the first to ever complain - If you don’t mind sleeping with light streaming through a curtain (it is very bright) on a crunchy, slippery plastic covered mattress then you will be fine. This may seem like a small thing, but a comfortable nights sleep is a minimum expectation and requirement, and it is such an easy fix! Put a blind on the window, provide some extra linen, and get a new washable mattress protector.
There’s No kettle - owner advised Italians don’t use them. … although there are lots of pans.
towels could also do with updating, or a few more being supplied for longer stays as we struggled to get these dry each day in the environment.
Overall if these things were sorted this would have been a relatively good stay.
