LILYPAD COTTAGE is a quaint newly built private home located in the heart of Blue Hill Maine. This quintessential Maine Coast town is in the Center of Everything. This home has all of the creature comforts of home as well as all of the modern necessities (eg. High Speed Internet, Charging stations, Keurig coffee maker, Laptop station in bedroom). Artworks from local artists adorn the walls of this property. The one bedroom is Large with a "Select Number and Memory foam" king bed and two Huge closets. The bathroom has a huge vanity with plenty of drawers for all of you toiletries. The large shower is equip with handrails, shower head, and Handheld shower head. A large washer and dryer are also housed in the bathroom. The main part of the home has a wide open Kitchen Dinning and Living area. The kitchen offers ALL you will need to make even the most demanding of meals. The Granite countertops and slate floor will give you the feel of attention to detail. Dinning will be a treat as the seating is ample and comfortable with a eat at kitchen option. The Living room is open with two love seat couches and modern technologies such as Streaming TV, DVD, CD. The outside of this lovely home is just as well appointed as the inside. A small deck on the back side has a gas grill and seating for 2. The small yard is tastefully landscaped with mature trees and flowering plants.

Restful, quiet stay

The property is nicely furnished and well equipped for everyday needs. Shannon is very accomodating to anything you will need. Enjoyed our stay which was convenient to the things we wanted to do on Mt. Desert Island and the nearby sites.

Comfortable, quiet, convenient

The house was very nicely furnished with a spacious kitchen, fully outfitted with the necessary pots and pans, a few staples for cooking (olive oil) and even a much appreciated full set of Tupperware for food storage. The bed room was spacious and comfortable with ample room to store clothing and a lovely king-size bed. Shannon was amazing to communicate with - very relaxed and generous and flexible when it came to our slightly outside-of-regular check in and out hours. The quiet setting of the house created a tranquil mood, yet the location was very convenient to town so you didn't feel isolated. We really enjoyed this stay and plan to come back!

Perfect one couple house

Very comfortable, convenient, welcoming and well appointed. Immediately feels like home. Easy walk to town. Central location to access lots of regional attractions.. Responsive, caring owner.

My roots go back to the founding of Blue Hill in 1789. I've been fortunate enough to grow up, be educated, and have my career in this town. My husband and I are raising a large family of 8 children. We love our hobby farm of horses, goats, pigs and love the experience with our guests.
