Enjoy all that downtown has to offer in this cozy island home within walking distance to shops and restaurants. There is plenty of privacy in this petite home! First floor bedroom features a table and TV, great for hanging out playing games or watching movies while others enjoy the main living space. New Rental with fresh work, paint and new beds. Nice back yard with deck and outside shower. Kayak and Crabbing/Clamming supplies available for guests to enjoy. Allows Pets.. Pet friendly home $75.(per pet) will be added to your reservation. There is a 2 dog limit and 40 lbs or less. This home does provide linens and towels.

Cancellations made 30 days prior to arrival will receive 100% of refund of all monies minus $ 39 Processing Fee and Any Credit Card Convenience Fees Paid.  If less, then 30 days: the advanced rent is only refundable subject to the following: The property is re-rented for the same period. Re-rental of less than a full week will be refunded on a pro-rated basis. The Agent will retain a $39.00 processing charge, and any convenience fees charged. *Deposits are not refunded for ANY reason (including bad weather).

Perfect for us

This house was found last minute according to our plans and was perfect for us. The fenced in yard was wonderful for our dog and everything about the house was as described. We were pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed our stay.

Great experience!

Really enjoyed time at Chincoteague. Very nice property. Highly recommended! Some suggestions. 1) Owner should be available by the VRBO app / site. I never got a reply to my message via that platform. 2) Need a bigger broom. 3) The master bedroom needs a new door handle.

Would not recommend - not clean

The pictures make it look light, quaint, and clean. We arrived and we were greeted with flies in the house and dirty, sticky floors. Having a baby under 1 and a 4 year old, I couldn't let either of them play on the floor. One of the rooms upstairs has the feeling the floors will give out if you step in. The reviews of this house look like they were copied and pasted from someone over and over again. I'm shocked this is up to the standards of VRBO.

Check in was easy. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals. House was cute and cozy on the inside. We had a pretty hard rain one night and the downstairs bedroom window leaked. Our pillows and the top corner of the mattress ended up wet. We had to throw our pillows in the dryer and throw a towel on the bed. The outside of the house definitely needs some yard maintenance done. Weeds in the way of the crabbing supplies and kayak. Virginia creeper vine everywhere. We had to avoid all of that due to being highly allergic to any poison plants, and Virginia creeper would definitely have had my son and I absolutely miserable. Needed lots of yard upkeep done. We let the rental company know about our issues and they made things right with us, quick response time back from them. All in all we had a good time

The yard is very overgrown (and has apparently been a problem for years according to the guest book), with poison growing up the gate. This really did not make me want to sit outside at all during our stay, and it's a shame because it could be nice. Inside, the layout was fine for an old house but it was obvious the house hasn't been deep cleaned in a long time. I spent 30 minutes when we got there just wiping layers of grime off all the cabinets and drawers, pantry and refrigerator. The floor in the kitchen is so old that even if it does get mopped it never feels clean, and there is a large soft spot in front of the dishwasher. We felt like our feet were dirty all week long when we walked on the kitchen floor. The window sills in the whole house had layers of dust, and the blinds upstairs all need to be replaced. The floors in all the bedrooms upstairs were dirty, but most notably was the master bedroom floor. Walking in that room would make the bottom of our feet black. There is mold in the washer, and some in both the showers. I would not recommend this house to anyone until some improvements have been done. I've used harbor rentals for 5 years now and this house has been the most disappointing one we've stayed in. The refrigerator door handle came off during our stay and I emailed Harbor Rentals, and they did reply in a timely manner to fix the issue. Overall we had a good time because we love coming to this island but the house was for sure a disappointment.

Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time, except...the grass was pretty high when we got there, but after I called Harbour, it was taken care of in a timely manner. The twin beds were very comfortable, but the two other bedrooms' beds were awful, nattresses folding into the middle. One of our sons left early because his girlfriend has back problems and was very uncomfortable. We would love to stay there again next time, if the mattresses are replaced. We spent most of our time clamming and crabbing; the weather was perfect. The house is a little quirky, but it just adds to the charm. We had a seafood feast, and found the kitchen nicely stocked with the pans and utensils we needed.

It might not look like much from the road but it is a lovely place to stay, with enough bedrooms to keep everyone happy. We cooked a full Thanksgiving dinner and had 7 people around the table. We came for the Christmas parade and the rental was in a great location for walking downtown to the shops and to the parade. The house was pretty dirty when we first arrived. Cob webs everywhere. At one point my three year old discovered an old cookie under the living room chair and we didn't have any cookies. The queen size bed upstairs felt like it was going to collapse with the slightest movement. The pictures show a relaxing backyard with rocking chairs ready to go. I had to untangle the chairs from all the vines that had taken over. We would not stay at the blue skies again.

Stay away from this property if you have health issues!

We chose this place for its history and have a fence For the dogs. We were celebrating the 70 birthday of my spouse. The house It was superficially clean. The blinds had so much dust; the air vents had so much dust as they had never been cleaned. As a breast cancer survivor, it affected me, and I could not breathe and started coughing, so we decided to leave before our departure. This house needs a lot of tender loving care and maintenance..

The house location is pretty good, has outdoor sitting, kayak, grill, a little fountain, fishing/crabbing gears. Lot of options for outdoor environment. However, the house is way too old, dirty, locks are falling out, no toilet paper, fan for drying hair. The beds are old, uncomfortable, walls need painting, windows need cleaning and changing glass. The whole house inside and outside needs a makeover.

The location of Blue Skies was very convenient so we biked and walked everywhere. The house itself is charming and plenty of space for the four of us. It is a little dark inside probably in part because the landscape is overgrown outside. My biggest criticism was the outside and yard space really was over grown making in not that comfortable to use but we stayed busy with the beach and town and walks so it wasn’t a big deal but would have been nice to eat outside some time. Everything else was comfortable and cute. The house was also well stocked.

End of Summer Getaway

I enjoyed our stay, the house was comfortable, rustic and convenient. I enjoyed the older house as a reminder of Chincoteague past. Two flaws in the place, 1] ants and 2' gas grill was not operational. A big plus, my daughter enjoyed the outside shower. Thanks for your hospitality

Would stay here again

We loved that we could walk to most of the restaurants and shops. The outdoor shower was very nice also. We were happy this rental was dog friendly, but did not know there was an additional fee not listed on vrbo. Parking is limited- two cars or one big vehicle max. We would definitely stay here again!
