Sudbury

We were driving home and stopped here. It would not have been so special except we found Laurentian loop trail. That will be a favorite spot forever.

Misleading

The property description and other online marketing information about Sudbury were misleading. We were not expecting to arrive and discover such obvious signs of urban decay in the heart of downtown and surrounding areas of the city. Would not recommend as a vacation destination.

As you mentioned, Downtown Sudbury is still recovering & rebuilding after both the pandemic and last year's unfortunate fire at the Coulson Block. We understand the impact this has had on the immediate vibrancy of the neighbourhood. However, we're committed to being a part of the positive changes already underway. We're proud to work alongside our fantastic retail neighbours who offer some of the finest men's and women's clothing in the city. We're also fortunate to be surrounded by a diverse array of restaurants & bars, many boasting some of the best cuisine in Northern Ontario. This summer, we partnered with the new Refettorio Outdoor Theater, located just down the block, to bring increased foot traffic and excitement to the area. Their daily sold-out shows are a testament to the growing energy downtown. We're also thrilled to see the progress at the Coulson Block. The return of residents has begun and the upcoming reopening of businesses next month are significant steps in revitalizing our neighbourhood. Also work is already underway for a new modern event centre that will house our OHL team, Sudbury Wolves and The Sudbury Five basketball team in addition to Concerts and Events. We appreciate your understanding & hope you'll consider giving us another chance in the future to showcase the ongoing transformation of Downtown Sudbury.

Why they chose this property

We wanted to capture the essence of staying in a downtown location similar to those we have loved on our travels. My award-winning wine bar (Wander Food & Wine) is located on the main floor and it was lucky for us that the building already had two rental suites upstairs that we could convert and rent to guests.

What makes this property unique

Each of our suites are very large, 1-bedroom suites and within a short walking distance to most downtown attractions.
