About this property

Cottage getaway on beautiful clean Anstruther Lake

The property has a little bit of everything. Sandy beachfront both in and out of the water. With a bridge over to your own island. Island has a large deck and dock with 15ft of weedless water. Great fishing, has massive smallmouth bass, largemouth and lake trout. This pristine lake is located in a provincial park so there are lots of other lakes to portage to and spend the day. Boat launch, gas, boat rentals of all kinds are located right next door, restaurant and small store also. 10 mins to Apsley.

The cottage has everything one should need when up North. The place has a very cabin like feel to it and is really cozy and inviting. Its an older family cottage but very clean. There is a peddle boat at the cottage that you are welcome to use, the only thing I ask is two people maximum and please bring your own life jacket if you have one. I do have some life jackets but no guarantees they'll fit. There are some other things like kids toys and foam pool noodles located in the shed for your use. Gentle slope to lake with a rocky and sandy shoreline. Kitchen is brand new, new appliances and fresh modern feel. New updated bathroom, complete with stand up shower. Brand new BBQ on deck, patio table and chairs on beach for lakeside dining. Patio furniture on deck by the lake. New shed by the water complete with full size fridge/freezer. Firepit with chairs. coffee maker, microwave, kettle, water cooler.

Bookings are Friday (check-in) to Friday (check-out).

We enjoyed every minute of our stay at this gorgeous place. The lake is stunning, and the cottage’s location on the lake is perfect. The cottage itself was well equipped, clean and had a lovely ambiance. I can’t imagine a better place to go if you want a relaxing break. We are so grateful that Kyle allowed us to stay here.
The sunsets are unbelievable.
My son and his girlfriend loved it so much.

Peace in paradise

A three day getaway that felt much longer due to the well appointed cottage and the fabulous waterfront complete with a gorgeous deck-to-dock gathering area and deep water swimming in clear and clean Anstruther Lake. We loved it!

Beautiful rustic cottage

I booked this cottage for three nights this Labor Day weekend and to say my family had a great time is an understatement. If my kids didn’t have to go back to school we would've extended our stay. I recommended this cottage to all our family and friends. Kyle was very helpful and answered every question I had in a professional and respectful manner.

This place was wonderful for us and our dogs! The lake was perfect for the dogs to run into and splash around. The cottage itself was beautiful. It had enough space for us all, good location for a quick trip to Bancroft for the he view of Eagle nest. Woodys was good food, 20 minutes around trip! Just call ahead. The lake was peaceful. Can’t wait to go back! :)

Great property, cute little cottage.

We really enjoyed the property and our stay! The owner was lovely to work with and responded promptly to all questions! When we initially pulled up we were shocked to see the cottage was next to a busy marina, but somehow the cottage still manages to be quiet and remote! With the convenience of the marina next door for bottled water refills and ice cream, but somehow the tree line and property is still very private and quiet! The shoreline was a dream for our kids. The water off the dock is deep, warm, and weed free. There is also a sandy walk in closer to shore. The sand area was a safe fun space for our young kids to play, and the firepit area was perfect. The kitchen was very well stocked, we definitely overpacked lol Tin foil and seran wrap, paper towels and soap, dish cloths, and toilet paper were abundant. The shed by the water had a full fridge for overflow food and keeping freezies and drinks close to the water. We really enjoyed our stay and the outdoor areas were an absolute dream.

Week of paradise

We stayed this summer with our kids and friends and had an amazing time. They had everything we needed in the cottage. The marina was right next door if you needed to launch your boat, we also rented a floating mat for a few days which the kids loved, endless hours of fun! The double fridges were great for two families. We thought ahead and brought a few fans as it was to be a hot week and that was great for at night sleeping. Hopefully we can make this an annual trip!

Great Stay

Our family of 8 adults stayed for a week. The cottage kitchen was fully stocked, 2 large fridges and lots of room to sit around the table and play games. Water is clean and clear. Beach area to play games. Would definitely stay again.

Amazing waterfront

We loved our short stay at this cottage. It was all clean and well stocked for our stay. It´s comfortable and has all the basic things you might need for a nice stay. The lake and the waterfront though it´s amazing. Nice dock and beach type area, very kid friendly. We loved it.
