Built in 1692, the old wine cellar at the foot of the City of Carcassonne, leaning against the retaining wall of the foundations, has been entirely renovated into a pretty little house equipped with modern comforts while preserving the authenticity of its history. After crossing the corridor leading to an entrance hall and the laundry room of our house to which you will have access, you arrive in a small garden of 100m² with a breathtaking view of the medieval city of Carcassonne! A garden lounge to relax, a terrace equipped with a large table and a plancha for some grilled meat or fish .... This old wine cellar is made up of a ground floor with a comfortable sofa bed, a television set which will allow you to watch many DVDs at your disposal or to connect your computer. This small house is equipped with cable internet but not wifi, as the walls surrounding it do not allow you to receive the signal. The kitchenette is fully equipped. A wooden staircase leads to the first floor where the bedroom (one 140/190 and one 90/190 bed) and a shower room with toilet are located.

We loved every minute of our stay in Carassonne. The home owner was charming and helpful. The medieval city was amazing. This is a place that I have wanted to visit for many years. Although the 6-hour train trip from Paris was tedious we are so glad that we made the trip. Thank you Caroline and Clara for a wonderful experience. Teresa Elston.
