Lovely Getaway

Perfect rental house with various benefits. Owners go out of their way to ensure you have everything you need to know and have for a great start to your stay(snacks/toiletries/starter items). Fun time in SafetyHarbor

The property was excellent; very clean and welcoming. The host made everything seem brand new. The table was beautifully set and there was a chilled bottle of wine with two glasses in the refrigerator. The spacious rooms were a delight especially the sun room with the day bed.

Our family loved this cute and comfortable cottage. The beds were so comfy, WiFi was great, and we had a great time hanging out in the backyard. We enjoyed Safety Harbor. John was one call away when we needed help and had some questions.

Convenient and cozy, with a great welcome

Great little house on a quiet street. Nice neighborhood, just a short walk (5-7 minutes) from the center of town. All kinds of good restaurants, and happy faces everywhere. A fine welcome, with a bottle of wine and everything to manage a home for two weeks.

Breakfast on the terrace

We had a delightful 7-night stay at Casa Artista--clean, comfortable and quiet. The owner was very responsive when we didn't understand how to adjust the A/C. The terrace is actually more private than shown in the photos and has a lovely view to the East and rising sun in the mornings. We walked to Main Street the first day but then decided, as elders, it was easier to drive our car. No problem finding parking near shops, restaurants or Sunday market.

Lovely home thoughtfully decorated

The 2 queen bedrooms gave us more than enough room for us to spread out. This was a working vacation for some of the week and the WiFi was great! The decor is so lovely and quaint. We really didn’t need to buy much because the homeowner provided so many conveniences for us.

Great house and location in Safety Harbor

We very much enjoyed our stay in Safety Harbor. The house was great. Extremely comfortable beds. We were not able to enjoy the beaches with the Red Tide, but a couple of side trips to Tampa, a college visit to USF and a couple of trips to Tarpon Springs madr for a nice time. The hosts were great and answered questions in a very timely manner. Definitely recommend.

P.S. Pups love the fenced-in front yard and long walks through Philippe Park and on nearby Main Street, where you’ll find many great restaurants (Parts of Paris a must).

Safety Harbor Comfort

Very comfortable and pleasant house! We had everything we needed and were even welcomed with some wine! It was so nice to come back to the property after our visits with my nearly 90 year old parents who live about 10 minutes away. Safety Harbor is such a lovely hamlet. We would walk to dinner downtown most evenings. While in the area we went to Sand Key and Honeymoon Island State parks on a couple of afternoons as well: quite easy to get to.Loved our stay!As a bonus, we saw at the pond across from the drive into Casa Artista one morning: a roseate spoonbill, white egret, snowy egret, little blue heron and a white ibis. Pretty cool!

Spring Break in Tampa Area

Highly, highly recommend staying in the Safety Harbor home!!! The home was just PERFECT for our 6 night stay in the Tampa area. The neighborhood was safe and quiet and it was such a quick walk to the cute Safety Harbor downtown and marina area. We enjoyedshopping in the cute shops in downtown Safety Harbor and eating at the French restaurant, Nona's pizza restaurant, and the Greek restaurant in downtown Safety Harbor. Everything was very clean and comfortable in the he! We loved the home and community so much that we contacted a realtor to start looking for a home to buy in Safety Harbor that's also close to the downtown area in preparation for our retirement in the near future. We want to get a sailboat and the downtown and marina area just perfect!

Restful Retreat

Super cute, bungalow situated on a quiet street. The home is just a few blocks from the center of town with multiple dining and shopping options. The airport, beaches and excellent shopping are less than 30 minutes away. There’s a sweet courtyard that offers views of the wildlife enjoying the fenced pond across the drive. We saw parrots, storks, herons, and a kingfisher with the most beautiful trill. Turtles and an alligator were also present. Our puppy enjoyed patrolling the fenced in front yard as we sipped our morning coffee on the porch. The two bed and bath suites which are on opposite sides of the house were small but more than adequate. The kitchen, dining and living areas were modern and well equipped. The generous size of the laundry area was much appreciated. The three of us found no major complaints. This is a perfect place to just ‘be’. Thanks John

We are your fun-loving hosts at Casa Artista!

I grew up on a farm south of Nashville TN. I am currently managing IT in a software company which also has an office in the Tampa Bay Area. When I am not pounding on the keyboard, I involve myself in renovating houses, gardening, cooking, and entertaining friends and family.

My wife Ellen was born in China, a true city girl, her interests are more into art & Electrical Engineering. She came to the states to research high-voltage transmission, but I really think she came here to find me and my secret BBQ recipes ☺

We love to travel together and everywhere we go we try to stay away from hotels, staying with locals is way more fun. We also share a common passion to renovate and revive older homes.

Ellen and I completely fell in love with Safety Harbor upon our very first visit. Known as the Hidden Gem of Tampa Bay, Safety Harbor is voted No. 1 of the Most Charming small cities in Florida. It offers amazing natural beauty as well as award winning restaurants, pubs, and shops as well as tons of unique festivities. Best of all, the locals are simply the friendliest people we have ever met.

We have since renovated 4 vacation homes in Safety Harbor. Casa Artista is our newest one! It is dearly loved by us and our guests because of its unique artistic inspiration and "Happy Energy".

Surrounded by a most beautiful nature setting including a peaceful creek and small lake, majestic live oak trees, all in your private yard. Just 5 minutes’ walk will take you to all the Safety Harbor downtown action!

All bedrooms in Casa Artista come with beautiful views, bamboo mattress toppers and luxury bed linens. Many guests ask us for the source of the beds after their best sleeping experience!

A huge HDTV in the living area, and another HDTV in the larger bedroom, each with over 200 real cable channels to Indulge. Super-fast internet Wi-Fi is available throughout!
Casa Artista is designed for family fun time. Fully equipped kitchen fit for any gourmet cooking. We also have a Weber charcoal kettle grill for outdoor cooking. There is a chimera (small fire pit) for those cooler evenings.

The house is named “Casa Artista” due to its Artist Inspiration: Our friend and well-known local artist Melissa was the former owner. We are blessed to keep many of her works as well as other local artists. Your stay at Casa Artista will be surrounded by colorful paintings, unique glassware and tropical plants.

Amazing local restaurants, pubs, and shops. Marina Park, which includes the Marina Pier, and the Tampa Bay waterfront are just a relaxing short stroll from your front door!

A walk/run/bike paradise - Marina Park also features a pedestrian and bike trail which provides an elevated path among the mangrove trees as you head north toward Philippe Park. Heading south on the path you will enjoy a beautiful view of Tampa Bay as it extends all the way to the Courtney Campbell Causeway beach and trail which goes across the bay to Tampa.
Did we mention Philippe Park? Don’t miss it! It is amazingly beautiful, also on the Tampa Bay waterfront.
