This apartment has a split type ductless A/C system located in the entryway. For our guests who do not know what an A/C split is, please note it is different from central air conditioning. A split unit is mounted on the wall and can be powerful enough to cool the entire apartment or only the room it is in, depending on how much energy you want to consume. A split is an eco-friendly way to cool the apartment. Please keep this in mind and be responsible to save energy. For this listing, there are powerful ceiling fans in every bedroom and living room for our guests who do not like A/C or want additional ventilation.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD

Enjoy views of picturesque Montjuic, especially at night when lights adorn the magical fountains and the National Catalan Art Museum, shaped like a castle on top of the hill. You can take a stroll to Plaza Espanya, where you will find a bustling commercial center, Las Arenas ("The Sands"), with a unique twist. It was constructed inside a 19th Century bullring and has been converted into a hot spot for shopping, dining, and entertainment. On the rooftop you can enjoy a 360 degree view of Barcelona, Montjuic, Tibidabo and beyond.

Montjuic is home to the Joan Miró Foundation & Museum and CaixaForum, and important cultural space for the city. Originally constructed in 1911 as a textile factory, this architectural gem by Puig i Cadafalch is a spectacular exhibition space. You will also find the Palau de Sant Jordi that hosts the most famous artists and acts to come to Barcelona.

You can take the nearby cable cars to the 17th Century castle that overlooks all of Barcelona with views of the Sagrada Familia, Tibidabo Mountain and of course the Mediterranean Sea beyond.

A 10-minute metro ride will take you to Camp Nou, home to FC Barcelona and countless Champions League wins. The Barca Museum is located here, and is the most visited museum in the city.

If theater is more your style, you are just a few moments away from Av. Parallel where you will find the city’s theater district and famous restaurants such as Tickets, founded by the iconic Catalan chef Ferran Adria in 2011.

GETTING AROUND

The Sants Station is 5 minutes away and the metro is just across the street from the apartment. Within 10-minutes’ metro you can be in Plaza Catalunya, direct on the green line (L3) where you can find public transport to any spot in the city and the Barcelona Tourist Bus. Just below Plaza Catalunya you will find the Gothic Quarter, home to museums and medieval architecture, and just next door is the bohemian Born neighborhood famous for nightlife, bars and restaurants.

SMOKING IS NOT ALLOWED ANYWHERE INSIDE THE APARTMENT.

SILENCE: It's a very quiet neighborhood and building, so after 10:00 pm things should be calmed down so we don't disturb the neighbors.

As this is a residential building it is important to respect the neighbors. The locals are going about their daily lives and request a quiet and calm environment.

LATE CHECK-INS:

There is a surcharge of 30 euros for check-ins between 21:00 hours and 00:00 hours. Check-ins after 00:00 hours have a surcharge of 50 euros. This amount is due in EUROS at check-in.
