About Richard Alexander
My son Devon and I own Kays Kabin. We live in Chattanooga Tn. My late mother Kaye Perry bought this property in 1998. In Dec. 2007 we tore down the old cabin and had Rocky Mtn. Builders-Adam Gilreath and Chris Steele build this new one. I highly recommend them as they are my good friends now. We have a tile business so we were able to do lots of work ourselves. This is our 'Dream Cabin' that we visit at least once a month, with our family and friends. When I try to tell people about Suches, it's hard to put it into words. This place is special, the people are unbelievably friendly. Everyone who comes here loves it and wants to come back. We hope you will too. Thanks for your inquiry! Richard

What makes this Cabin unique
The Cabin benefits: Appalachian Trail just out the front door. The Hammock, I can't explain it, you just have to experience it yourself. Memories made around 'The Fire Pit', and early morning coffee while gazing at the fish are unique benefits that our cabin offers.

Cabin was amazing
Had a relaxing time here and enjoyed the peace and quiet
Nice, relaxing Getaway
Very cute cabin stocked with all of the essentials. I feel the owner goes above and beyond to ensure you have everything you need during your stay. The hiking path is within walking distance so that was very nice.
The cabin was not as secluded as it looks in the pictures, but was still quiet and on a nice piece of property. Unfortunately, we encountered quite a few bugs, especially large black ants in the kitchen. Of course, being in the woods, I would expect to see some bugs... The living room furniture could use a good steam cleaning and I agree with a previous reviewer regarding the mattresses downstairs; they are not very comfortable.
I was a bit confused by the following information listed in the description: Canoe, Hammock, Fire Pit, Spring fed trout pond, Fishing poles, Catch and eat or Catch and release. I was under the impression that fishing poles were available at the cabin so we did not bring any. We planned to fish all day on Saturday, but since we didn't have gear, we headed home a day early. All in all, this was a good deal for the money and we enjoyed some great quality family time hiking, making smore's and going to the local waterfalls.
I am replacing both mattresses downstairs when I go June 19th. I'm very sorry about the fishing poles, I should have taken that out of the description. Last year I had to stop fishing in the pond because someone caught every (40) trout out, then I couldn't get anymore because of the drought. If you would have contacted me I would have told you where the poles were so you could fish at Lake Winfield Scott. Thanks Richard
Really neat cabin in a nice neighborhood! We enjoyed hiking and hanging out by the fire pit. There was a problem with the water heater the first day and Richard had a plumber out there to fix it that afternoon!
Highly recommend this rental for a fun, relaxing weekend.
I just went ahead and replaced the water heater so there wouldn't be anymore problems. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay! Thanks Richard
This is a wonderful cabin!! It was clean and decently close to my regular fishing spot and also was close enough to discover another fishing spot. The check in and check out was simple, just followed instructions given on fridge. We very much enjoyed our stay.
Verry happy. Will come back
