Wonderful Cottage in the Country

The Chauffeur's Cottage was as close to perfect as possible. Its located in the country outside of Arboath, but made the perfect home based for our time exploring the Angus area, plus was an easy drive from St. Andrews and the othre course in Fife. We can't wait for an opportunity to return.

What an Amazing Holiday Cottage

Chauffeurs cottage is a beautiful haven in the country. On its own estate it is incredibly peaceful and mostly you can only hear the wildlife - obviously this means a car is a must. The cottage is fantastic, fully equipped with everything you could need. Communications with Jessica were excellent. The walled garden is a great bonus and my 79 year old mum played badminton and on the swings there for hours with her grandchildren creating memories we will never forget. We visited Arbroath, Broughty Ferry and Edinburgh. Amazing holiday, amazing cottage and even amazing weather.

I am so glad that these guests enjoyed their stay. Kinblethmont estate is a great place to go to escape from the whatever is going on the world and make special memories together. We have been working hard to keep the grounds and walled garden nice during the pandemic so we are so glad that they have been appreciated. There is also lots to see and do away from the estate in this special part of scotland.

Stunning well appointed Cottage

6 of us (3 couples) had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful cottage for a weekend. Very well appointed & a stones throw from the lovely Arbroath. We will definately return. Thanks again

I am so glad that these guests enjoyed their stay. For groups of three couples we can make up all three bedrooms as doubles and the large sitting room has plenty of space for everyone to relax. Arbroath has a lovely harbour with marina, and restaurants, Arbroath Abbey, Hospitalfield House and useful shops as well as lovely cliff walks, a golf course, the beach and childrens play areas - so plenty to do within a 10 minutes drive!

I am so glad that these guests enjoyed their stay. The setting of the Chauffeur's cottage next to the Big House certainly has a Downton abbey feel about it and there are lots of lovely walks round the grounds (excluding the private gardens of the big House) . The old walled garden of the house in now converted into a lovely sheltered amenity area for holiday cottage guests.

Entspannen in traumhafter Umgebung

Echt toll!!!!!

Another great stay at Kinblethmont

This was our third stay at Kinblethmont and second time in the Chauffeur's cottage. As before the accommodation was wonderful - very comfortable with everything a family needs. The location is lovely as is the estate and the walled garden is a real gem. Already we (and especially our seven year old grandson) are looking forward to returning.
Response from VrboOwner on 29 Mar 2020
We love it when our guests return to the Chauffeur's cottage. We like to make sure the cottage is well equipped and a real home from home and we are so glad that the walled garden is well used. There are lots of walks around the estate and games in the walled garden for traditional family holiday in a natural environment as well of lots of excursions within a short drive.

Spacious and homely stay at Christmas

Lovely and very comfortable cottage in a equally lovely part of Scotland. We used this as a good base to relax over Christmas but also do a wee bit of exploring around a bit of Scotland we've never really seen much of before, be it around Angus, across to Fife or even a short jaunt into the Cairngorms this made for the ideal base. As for the cottage itself with very spacious living areas and master bedroom, 2 other rooms and a very well equiped kitchen along with 3 bath/shower rooms upstairs and WC downstairs made this ideal for the whole family. Also a special thanks to Fiona from Kinblethmont who kindly posted onto her a couple of items we had left behind. Would thoroghly recommend Kinblethmont cottages.
Response from VrboOwner on 29 Mar 2020

A wonderful house and surroundings

We had a wonderful time indeed. My husband and I took our 7 month old daughter and my parents. The owners of Kinblethmont had thought of everything. We didn't need for anything really. The facilities were superb. The Walled Garden was also a delight and we were very lucky with the weather. Will make definitely be back!
Response from VrboOwner on 29 Mar 2020
We love it when three generations come to spend time together. October can be a bit hit or miss weather wise but the lovely sitting room with cosy woodburning stove is a delight to get back to if you need to battle with the elements!

Beautiful luxury cottage

Kinblethmont Estate is a beautiful property just outside of Arbroath. Set in the lush agricultural fields of northeast Scotland, it serves as an excellent spot for exploring the area. There is plenty to see (5 Angus glens, Dunottar Castle, Glamis, and many lovely small towns and villages), and if you like to walk, the seaside paths, and the glens provide many trails.Arbroath and St. Vigens are well worh exploring, with smokies and other delicacies easily available. Be sure to have a meal at The But N Ben in sweet Auchmithie, only 3 miles away. The Chauffer's Cottage was fully equipped and very comfortable for the 6 adults plus one baby. Everything we needed was on hand, and of good quality. The common rooms were spacious and comfortable. The beds were good and bathrooms all functioned well. We really enjoyed the walled garden and had fun with table tennis, the playground and badminton. We look forward to returning soon!

Highly recommended.

A lovely house in the Angus countryside, warm, clean and cosy with a log fire when you need it. Very well equipped with everything you need. Good service from friendly people and I would recommend the house to anybody who likes the countryside. Roe dear and pheasants in the garden and a short drive to the town with lots to see and do. Lunan beach also a short drive away. I will certainly return the next time I am in Scotland, a great place for a holiday.
