Sunrise is my favorite time of day, so the eastern exposure was perfect. The trees were a godsend that shaded the porch keeping it cool. The master bedroom bed practically healed my hip - we're buying a new mattress now because of it!!! Rooms/beds are well thought out. Nicely accommodated for guests.
We love this place! Probably stayed here 10 times. We tried another place one time. The host is always perfect about reaching out or responding to any problems.
It is a wonderful place to visit, The dock is great, and enjoy swimming so much, it’s the perfect place. This was our 4th year staying here and already rented it for next year.
We had such a great week at the lake house! The neighborhood is nice and very quiet. Overall we had a very peaceful getaway. Would definitely recommend!!
The lake views from the deck were spectacular. It felt like you were right on the water. The screen porch was spacious and had lots of seating. The kitchen was nicely updated with a huge countertop, large refrigerator, and open shelving. It was adequately stocked. We never used paper products during our stay. They had everything we needed. The community that the house is located in was a nice surprise. Very quiet "countryside" feel with corn stalks all around and fresh eggs sold right down the street. The two mile circuit around the neighborhood was lovely. It felt like we were on an island. Water views all around as you walked. We loved the kayaks and our two 3-year-old grandchildren loved swimming right off the dock. The whole family floated in the water every day. Albemarle is close by and has a park with over a dozen pickleball courts. Morrow Mountain State Park is also close and has spectacular views and walking trails. Extra hand towels would be a nice addition. We found only two or three. Other towels were in abundance. We would also have liked to see the front door area and the porch "de-webbed" when we walked in. My daughter found fishing hooks on the deck by the water. If the cleaning crew could take some extra time for those outside areas, there would be absolutely nothing to complain about! The host was very responsive in all correspondence.
It’s the perfect place to stay, we brought our boats, enjoyed riding the lake, fishing and swimming. The dock is great for swimming or just hanging out watching boats pass by while cooking out. Enjoyed so much.
We enjoyed our first stay at Lake Tillery! This property is in a good location on the lake and close to Norway when you need more supplies. I already miss floating on the lake and lounging in the shade on the dock in the afternoon.
House at Lake Tillery was very nice and clean. Plenty of space for our family, and our kids enjoyed jumping from the dock and fishing while not on the boat.
So who has a perfect rainy Memorial Day weekend at Lake Tillery? We did! Although we had hoped for more excellent weather, my family had a memorable weekend spending valuable time together. The house was so lovely and very well kept. We definitely want to stay there again!
What an adorable home on Lake Tillery. Lovingly updated decor. Must be the greatest spot in the Lake with open water views and sunrise. We kayaked and fished to our heart's content even the neighborhood did not disappoint (perfect 2 mile walking circle).
The lakehouse was well decorated, clean, and cozy. The kitchen was well equipped with any tools we needed to cook a meal. We loved using the kayaks and paddleboard to enjoy the lake. The house is on a cove so it was a safe place to swim and paddle. We will definitely be back.

Thanks Laura. Look forward to having you all back soon.
The home was perfect for our stay. 4 adults and a 4 year old, there was plenty of space for everyone. Just as described in photos. The kitchen has all the essential plus more if you plan on doing any cooking. Prompt responses to questions from the owner. Quiet area. Would highly recommend
He told us the night before the refrigerator was out but it cost us so much more eating out every day I had done bought so much to cook for three days and most was wasted in a coolers with ice.

Hard to predict what a Hurricane coming through might cause. I did offer to allow for a cancellation with a full refund but they decided to come anyway.

Photos not current.
Pretty much all the photos were not current. The house was ok, it had been cleaned. Only one very old TV in the Living Room, which was difficult to use. The screen porch was old and had many spiders. The boat dock had very old and dirty furniture, that was really not usable. The wooden steps to the dock seemed unstable. The cleaning people said that the steps were dry-rotted. My final email from Vrbo stated that check-out time was 11:00am. The cleaning people came around 10:00am and demanded that we get out. One of them spoke harshly to my wife. My wife is disabled, and I did not appreciate her being treated so rudely. The owner was responsive and courteous. This place could be made nice with a little work, but we would not stay there again if the property remains in this condition.

Our Family built this home back in the early 70's. Our family has enjoyed this place as a get away to enjoy each other and the fun of being on the water for relaxing and playing. After just completing a major renovation, we are excited about sharing this special place with others.
Why they chose this property
Beautiful views of the lake. Great place for swimming and boating. Road leading to the drive is a circle (Randalls Ferry Road) that offers a great 2 mile walk. Nearby State Parks, National Forests and Golf Courses give great diversity to the activities you can plan.
