Griggs House - HOT TUB - Close to Tahoe City!

The Griggs home is a very spacious, 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath home with a 2 car garage. It's located approx 1 mile south of Tahoe City and is beautifully furnished with knotty pine furniture, granite counter tops in the kitchen and bathrooms, and is fully equipped with washer, dryer, dishwasher, disposal, telephone, television with cable, DVD, stone fireplace in the living room and it gets lots of sun. The primary bedroom suite on the upper main living floor is complete with shower stall and Jacuzzi spa tub. The kitchen is also fully equipped for all your needs and there's a large dining room table that can accommodate up to 10 people comfortably, sunny deck with hot tub, patio furniture (summer only) and a gas BBQ area. Wireless internet also available.

Walking distance to Tahoe City as well as many hiking and biking trails. It's also close to world class skiing at Palisades/Alpine Ski Resort, Homewood Mountain Resort and Northstar at Tahoe!

This home does not allow any parties or events as this home is in a residential neighborhood, and quiet time is from 9pm-8am. Thanks for your cooperation!

There is an electric fence system at this house to protect it from bears when unoccupied. Detailed instructions will be given to you once booked.

Cleaning fee includes linens, towels, and spa cleaning. You may want to bring spa/beach towels, as those are not provided.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed with our family and a friend with their kid. It was perfect for all of us. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to make lots of meals. The kids enjoyed the games and we had a fun time doing a puzzle. It was great to be close to Tahoe City but also easy to access hikes towards south Tahoe.

This property is in a great location. The home is spacious for 10. It badly needs repairs and cleaning. The screen door is broken, window in family room is stained, floors in kitchen need repair, carpet is stained. Linen situation is terrible. Sheets don’t fit on bed and so thin you can see through them. Only given two kitchen towels to dry dishes, small soaps for bathrooms , no broom in the house, no extra pillow cases for pillows , etc. Also there is dust everywhere on blinds and cobwebs around the house. We enjoyed our stay but not comfortable with the cleanliness.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very Good. It is a good location. Easy to get places. Nice big living area and kitchen and adjacent deck. It was advertised as three bathrooms, but it was really 2 plus a half with no tub or shower. You enter on floor with three bedrooms and 1bath room. You have to go up steep stairs to living area and master bedroom. I have back trouble, so the stairs a pain for me. Master bedroom and bath very nice. Deck has nice table, newish grill snd hot tub. It takes about a day to warm hot tub up. We had a little trouble with the tv, and they sent someone out to fix it within a couple of hours.

The Griggs house does have 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths, as advertised. The master bedroom upstairs has a separate tub to soak in, as well as a shower. There is also a tub/shower in the downstairs bathroom. The half bath is just a half bath, toilet and sink only of course. We apologize you were confused with these details, but the first line of the description indicates this as well as the pictures. We are glad you ultimately had a great stay.

Plenty of space to spread out, large tables for meals both indoors and outdoors and the hot tub was a huge hit with the young adults! The location is very convenient to many Tahoe attractions. And the house is in a very quiet neighborhood with lots of trees - you would never even know that you were just a couple of blocks from the main road around the West Shore. The one bathroom downstairs is a little tight for 3 bedrooms to share, but the master bedroom and bath upstairs are very large and used, as needed, for showers (and for the jetted tub!). We definitely hope to return for another visit!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: After several years of renting with you guys, this house was not clean and secured. The cleaning crew are not doing a good job as the kitchen and some utensils were dirty. Especially the coffeemaker. The house's owner doesnt invest in keeping it nice and secure. An outdoor furniture was broken, one of us sat on it and he almost fell. Then the outdoor balcony fence is wiggly and insecure. Hope the next guests will have a better stay at this location. Josh

There are some 'fix-up' things that need doing (squeaky, cracked floor, refrigerator has a couple glitches but kept our food cold, outdoor railing that is unstable....) but we had a great time! It was spacious enough for all nine of us and we had easy quick access to stores and beaches......... We'd rent it again.
