Town: Buckhorn Weston is an attractive village, nestling on the slopes of the picturesque Blackmore Vale in North Dorset, close to the Somerset border. This tranquil haven is only four miles from the towns of Wincanton in Somerset, to the north, and Gillingham in Dorset, to the east. A village of less than 400 residents, Buckhorn Weston’s award-winning pub has a reputation for serving good food and real ales, a great place to take refreshment after exploring the glorious, unspoilt surrounding countryside, whilst the beautiful parish church of St John the Baptist, dating back to the 13th century, is well worth a visit.
