About this property

Clean, Cozy and Perfectly Decorated, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath Cabin bordering the Huron National Forest.... just a short walk to the Scenic Big Creek. We are centrally located to all points of interest in Oscoda County.
You will be pleased to find a host of basic amenities. This is the perfect place to unplug from your busy life and enjoy watching the various wildlife and many bird species right out your window, relax, read a book and don't forget a quiet starry night campfire. Your stay can include many outdoor activities, such as: visiting the large neighboring Amish community with their tidy farms and unique stores, fishing, tubing, kayaking, canoeing, ATV riding, hiking, scenic overlooks and much more. We find that when many of our guests arrive they prefer to just stay and enjoy the very unique, quiet and natural surroundings.

This Cabin is an Adult Only Rental. We welcome 3 night minimum stays as well as weekly rentals.

* One of our main goals is to keep guests costs at a minimum. We do not charge a cleaning fee and you will not see a " Host Fee" when you finalize your booking. Due to our secluded location affordable internet is not currently an option but your mobile hot spots work well. There is a Verizon Cell tower in our Village of Luzerne. We provide an up to date T.V. and D.V.D. player so bring your favorite movies and connectivity devices along.

-We are currently the 6th least populated county in the state, this includes the U.P. Counties.

Great Little Cabin

We spent the weekend at this great little cabin. Nick was very welcoming. We loved watching the birds at the feeder. The highlight was the Pileated Woodpecker. The wood burning stove makes the place so cozy and it was only a 7 minute drive to MaDeeters.

Perfect cabin in the woods.

Great property and perfect location. The property manager was super helpful and was available every step of the way. I will be staying here again and i recommend anyone looking for an up north get away to stay here.

Real nice cabin with Mio and Lewiston close by also Ma Deeters in town ! Plenty of stars at night and wildlife to be enjoyed also thanks to Nick for a great time ! my wife and I will be coming back! THANKS AGAIN

Cozy and Peaceful

Well equipped kitchen. Nice ambiance. Good location --near the Au Sable River region for hikes. Responsive host. The oft-filled bird feeder attracted a fascinating array of birds. The weather was rainy during our stay. But the cozy cabin was perfect for reading and sipping hot chocolate. We enjoyed our stay.

We cherish this part of Michigan and all that it has to offer.

My Grandparents purchased their property 3 miles north of Luzerne on the Big Creek way back in 1944. They started building their "Red" Cabin in 1965 ( I was 2 years old ).

My wife Laura and I purchased their Cabin in 1997 and have over the years purchased a few others in the area for the purpose of preservation. All of our properties are somewhat connected and private. We live in one that is centrally located to the rest. We do have 1 exception which is a Cabin on the outskirts of Mio.
Mio is 6 miles away and is the County Seat.

What makes this property unique
