Great quiet location if you are looking to travel to the area for fishing, canoeing, etc.
We enjoyed the feel of the cabin. It was an especially perfect location for where we were visiting. The open space was great for our little one to play and unwind.
This is a lovely, quiet cabin in the woods. The owners were very responsive and the atmosphere was very charming. Very nice place to relax and get away from it all.
The outside had a nice cabin feel, except for all of the cut trees on one side. The inside was cute, clean and cozy.

Quiet neighborhood location, comfortable space for the dogs. Nesled in the pines however they did suffer a lot of damage during this years ice storms- the backyard and left of house are still in process of clean up. The creek behind the cabin is small and not easily accessible for fishing. The inside was clean, comfortable and cute. Washer and dryer a big bonus.
We really enjoyed our stay. Cabin was as expected. It had everything we needed and was comfortable. The neighborhood had lots of room to explore. The hosts were helpful and responsive. We would definitely stay again.
The cabin is very clean. The beds and pillows are comfortable. The surrounding area is nice and quiet. There are a lot of lakes and trails a short drive away. The scenery is very wooded. Unfortunately, the property and surrounding area is still being cleared out from last year's ice storm. The trails around the cabin are too overgrown to travel very far. I wasn't able to get down the hill behind the cabin to see the creek. That was a little disappointing but overall, it is a nice place for the price. I would stay there again.
The cabin and property were exactly what we were looking for. The check in process was very simple. I would highly recommend this cabin and location to anyone who wants peace and quiet.
My boyfriend and I had a great peaceful getaway, centrally located to many hiking trails in the area. This area is gorgeous bay time of year, but especially in the fall
FILTHY, and unsympathetic response from owners.Unfortunately, we missed our first opportunity for a pic when we arrived and discovered dirty water and sponge left in the kitchen sink. Also, due to the limitations here I couldn't include the pics of the many other things including hair infested sheets (despite the beds being nearly made.) We arrived to find the dirty sink water, but it quickly escalated when began to look closer. Hair and grime in the tub, hair and grime in the bath mat and at the base of the tub and toilet, as well as around the base of the bathroom wall trim, toothpaste splatter on the faucet and mirror with globs of toothpaste in the sink, broken shower rack that fell in on me while I was showering (rusted out joint), human hair on the sheets on both beds, animal hair on the living room furniture, deck table and chairs covered in pine bows and debris, non-functional grill, towels left in the dryer, bathroom not stocked as promised, clogged vacuums, nearly empty tissue box with no replacement available (we bought another one and left it), etc. We attempted to contact the hosts via text and thru the VRBO link but got no response. Eventually, we called the number left for us and we're able to express our concerns. Immediately, Ryan got defensive, not sympathetic or even apologetic. The only action they offered (the next morning) was to have us check out and get a refund. Due to limitations of this review, this is all I can say. I am seeking a refund.
This cabin was what we were looking for. Close enough to town, trails and the river yet on a nice quiet, wooded lot. Was expecting the kitchen to have more pots & pans but would recommend this cabin to anyone wanting to visit the area.
Excellent communication with the owner leading up to our weekend visit. Good location off the beaten path. Centrally location for our tour around the areas we visited. Would absolutely rent this cabin in the future.
Up north get-away in the woods. Enjoyed relaxing cabin, grilled out dinner and conversation on the deck, after a fun filled afternoon floating down the au sable river. Location close to variety of hiking trails in northern Michigan.
Small, but clean and cozy little cabin. Was perfect for 5 adults and 2 dogs. We really enjoyed the privacy and beauty of the surrounding pine forest. Perfect little bonfire spot to relax around in the back of the house. Had all the basics we needed stocked too. We would definitely go back!
