Luxury Family Home / Retreat Center on Great Pond

This family home is equipped with everything a family needs and desires for the ultimate Maine vacation. Reclaimed wood floors, a chef's kitchen, 7 bedrooms, 7 full baths and 2 half-baths. The daylight basement is equipped with a copper bar, pool table, workout room... there is a place for everyone, but you will most likely find your friends and family settling in at the kitchen island or on the beautiful screened in porch. And in the evenings relaxing on the dock watching the sunset.

We have a house cleaner who completely cleans the property between rentals. Surfaces and key touch points are disinfected. We also have basic cleaning supplies accessible to guests during their stay, should any cleaning needs arise.

Four-wheel drive / 4x4 vehicles are required in winter months.

My husband and I stayed over New Year’s and celebrated with my step-daughter, her husband and the two grandkids, ages 2 and 1. It was a perfect laid out space for us, plenty of room for our small group…the key being for us, the bedrooms/sleeping areas are well laid out…separate sleeping spaces so the grandkids could nap while the adults played pool, chatted in the kitchen and relaxed.The beds are super comfortable with luxurious linens. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of cooking pots and pans, dishes and basic spices. It truly is the center of the home and such a great place to hang out with the family. If we didn’t own a seasonal camp in Rome on great Pond, we would definitely rent it in the summer!!!Highly recommend!

Colby Football Weekend

Colby Football Week

This home is beautiful and amazing! Located close to Colby. Even though it was late Sept/early October we so enjoyed the lake with the kayaks and paddle boards. We even swam! The kitchen, in particular, was so well equipped! The bedding was fabulous and there was plenty of room to work or relax.

Wonderful Home, Great Location

A large group of family and friends stayed here for Colby Graduation. The home is beautiful. There is enough space for a large group to be together inside and out. The home is in an excellent location on the Great Pond, and is an easy drive to Colby College. I highly recommend booking early for graduation weekend, and hope we will get to stay again for a vacation week in the warmer summer months.

We had an amazing time in Belgrade at this gorgeous home on the lake. Our family enjoyed active days on the water and beautiful sunsets. We spent most of our time using the kayaks, rented a motor boat and a sailboat and just sat on the huge dock soaking up the sun! The house was spectacular. Thank you Victoria!!!

Beautiful Vacation Property

This property was perfect for a one week family vacation in one of Maine's many lake regions. The house is beautiful and well equipped. The bunk suite above the garage would be perfect for older kids. The lake is large and clean. The location is only about an hour from the coast or Freeport to allow a few day excursions. Whenever I had a question, the property manager quickly responded. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Book this house!

Matt and Carissa’s house was even better than we could have imagined! Our favorite spots in the house include the kitchen, master bedroom/bathroom, and lower living area with the pool table and home gym. We brought our snowshoes and spent time on the lake and we can’t wait to come back during the summer to enjoy swimming and canoeing. As our second stay with Matt, he continues to be an excellent host and his responses exceed our expectations. It was a perfect winter stay.

Awesome place for a family reunion!!

Can't say enough about Mike and Victoria. They have a beautiful MANSION by the lake with everything you would need. All the rooms have en suites and the kitchen was great to have. Right on the lake with kayaks--the kids had a blast and the best part was the kids' room with 6 built-in bunk beds. The place was almost too big! You could go a while without running into people. It was perfect for our family reunion of 15 people. You need a car for sure. Groceries are about 20 min away, but Hannafords is a great grocery chain. We ate in every night and the BBQ worked great. Loved this place. For kids who want to play with a dog, the neighbour's dog, Nido, dropped by every day to play with the kids too. Can't say enough about it. Loved the place.

Magical Lake Fun

Belgrade lake is crystal clear, clean and massive. The area is beautiful, remote, wooded and secluded. The house has a huge dock with paddle boards and kayaks and lifejackets and towels provided. The kids were in the water ALL DAY playing. The house was perfectly set up for our needs. There's a downstairs master for my parents. And an upstairs master for us, along with 2 other upstairs bedrooms. Then my sister's family took the apartment above the garage (with six bunk beds, a TV area, kitchen, office and two bathrooms). We didn't even use the bedroom in the basement, but the kids did love playing with the games down there, including the pool table, and all the adults enjoyed the personal gym. There's even table tennis in the garage.

G man's Family Vacation

From the moment you come up the long driveway filled with wildflowers and catch a glimpse of this picturesque lake house you are mesmerized. Our family of ten had an amazing vacation on the lake with the kayaks, paddleboards, and sunsets on the dock. The photo's do not do this extraordinary spacious home justice. Besides the furnishings, bedding, and linens, were all top quality, this house was immaculate. While there are breathtaking lake views throughout the house, the views from the chef's dream kitchen, dining room, and screened porch are spectacular. Our girls and their friends were in heaven in the fully equipped bunk house with six built in beds. I can't say enough about how impressed we were with this house. We look forward to coming back next year and making more lifetime memories. Thank you homeowners Mike and Victoria!!!

Unforgettable Maine Experience

This gorgeous home offered what was reminiscent of times as a youth spending summers in Maine. A very tastefully furnished home that has it all. We came together as multigenerational gathering for two weeks — ages 90 to 17. Everyone had a space to call their own whether on the screened-in porch reading, sitting on the dock with morning coffee or cocktails at sunset, the Rumpus room playing pool, working out in the fully equipped gym, office space for those unable to fully disconnect from their businesses, hours and hours of card games at the dining room table. The home was outfitted to keep everyone thoroughly engaged. The canoe, kayaks, paddle boards, smores at the fire pit at night, listening to the unmistakeable Maine sounds of loons (a mama and three baby loonets riding around on mama’s back) kept close by nightly, mourning doves cooing — all memories cherished. All the kitchen fixings for large gatherings you could ask for. Definite perks — very comfortable beds and numerous bathrooms, views from every bedroom. Waterville and Augusta within a half hour for stores if needed to stock up supplies. Christy’s at the nearby Irving gas station has everything if you don’t want to drive too far. Best customer service I’ve experienced in a long time. Manager carried out my bags the times I was there. I cannot express how much this stay far surpassed what I was hoping for. Thank you Matt and Carissa.
