We crafted Sunkissed & Salty to provide guests with all the amenities usually found on high-end resorts but in the privacy of a single-family home. Soak up fun in the sun in our large heated private pool and spa surrounded tropical landscaping and inviting lounging areas.

We've supplied a set of custom cornhole boards and putting green to get the competitive juices flowing. A separate game-room with a foosball table and 80's arcade console will keep you entertained for hours. When all the play-time has your appetite screaming, fire up the grill and dine pool-side on our covered dining area complete with a 55" HDTV.

Prime Location: Sunkissed and Salty is STEPS, not blocks or even minutes, to the beach. When you want to venture out for other activities or needs, highly popular Anna Maria establishments Ginny's & Jane E's, The Sandbar, The Donut Experiment, The Waterfront and historic City Pier are all within 1.5 miles north. Just to our south, Publix (island's best grocery store), SALT Bar & Table, The Doctor's Office (amazing cocktails), and Skinny's are also within 2 miles.

Functional Layout: Sunkissed & Salty spans 2915 sq ft and two levels with all bedrooms, living, and indoor dining areas on the elevated level. The ground level provides extra space for gaming and relaxing.

Two large primary suites, each with king bed and spa-like en-suite overlook the pool and offer rear balcony access. There's an additional king bedroom with en-suite (shower/tub combo); and one bedroom that offers (2) XL Twins. Perfect for kids or single adults; or they can be adjoined to create a standard king bed – it's your option. A full bath (shower/tub combo) sits directly across the hall. All bedrooms have their own TV's.

Our open concept living, kitchen & dining means no one misses out on the fun and lively conversation. Since food is an important element of extended vacations, our kitchen is top-notch by any standard and contains all the cookware, utensils and gadgets to construct meals of any complexity. Off the dining area, a covered balcony offers peeks of the gulf and a place to relax in comfort.

We have all the beach & pool supplies handled - from sand toys to beach cart, beach chairs and pool towels. Just bring a beach umbrella because we do not provide umbrellas.

Hands down the nicest, best equipped rental we have booked.From the kitchen to extras not found at other places we have stayed such as Mesh WIFI throughout the house, your laptop works well anywhere, to an actual beach cart with balloon tires. Fabulous Home and Location

The home is beautiful - and so clean! It was designed with family/friends gathering in mind because there are so many spacious areas to hang out in together. The pool area is so peaceful and relaxing - you would think you were the only ones in the neighborhood! Every detail is top notch from the appliances to the comfortable furniture. It is also so close to the beach that we were able to watch the sunset every night. You will love your stay at Sunkissed and Salty!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was well equipped with beach supplies. We really enjoyed the hot tub and pool. The kids swam and it was about 60 degrees out… pool must be heated?? The house was very clean and great seating for the 8 of us. Our mattress was too firm but some prefer that. We’d definitely rent this home again 😁

Amazing week in Anna Maria Island

I would highly recommend this property to anyone who would like a week of rest and relaxation! The house more than accommodated six adults and two kids. Tuck was extremely responsive to any questions that we had and took the time to offer recommendations since this was our first time in this part of Florida. Walking to the beach each day was quick and easy and spending the afternoons by the pool was enjoyable. Our family loved the cornhole boards, smart TV's and all of the other little touches at this home! Five stars for this property- thank you!

The house was in a perfect location. The owner is very responsive. The house was very clean. You can see the ocean from the front balcony. Which I found myself wanting to spend a lot of time on. The design of the house was absolutely beautiful. Really well done. I also think the house was of perfect size. There were 6 adults and 2 children. The outdoor area was also beautifully designed and laid out. We had a blast playing corn hole. A couple of more comfortable outdoor chairs in the pool area would be great. I would absolutely recommend this rental vacation property. The only other thing I would say is, is that you have to plan out showers, as hot water is limited. Thank you for a beautiful stay.

Everything we expected and more!

We were so excited to stay at Sun kissed & Salty because of the stunning photos and then because we chatted with Tuck (the owner) prior to booking. He addressed any concerns we had and left us feeling fabulous about our decision to book. Upon arrival, he were oh-so pleasantly surprised to find everything we saw in the photos/descriptions plus MORE! The house was immaculate, clean, and just perfect. It's truly right out of designer magazine. During our stay we enjoyed all the amenities - from the pool, the bikes, the porch, the spa, the game room, and more. The ease to and from the beach was great thanks to a beach cart. Finally - the open floor concept allowed our family to gather, laugh, and make memories. We will be back and have already been sharing the link for the property with lots of friends and family.

This property is perfectly placed on Anna Maria Island. A short walk to the beach meant we could go over multiple times each day, coming home for lunch or when the weather didn’t cooperate. We used the 4 bikes (and rented a few more from Beach Bums) so we could cruise the island without worrying about parking. The backyard was AMAZING. The kids loved the pool and being able to watch a movie while we swam. All of the TVs are smart-TVs so you can login to your accounts and watch away. The bedrooms were setup well with bathrooms for each, so we never felt like we were tripping over each other. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. It was great! Tuck was super responsive and helpful - probably the most helpful owner/property manager I’ve rented from!

Beautiful Home

This is a great house, location to the beach is perfect-just a block away. Everything seems new and clean, the pool and backyard space were very, very nice. A few things to note-there is no bathroom on the ground/first floor, which was an issue for us as we were with an older person and you have to walk up a good set of stairs to get to the bathroom. Might be due to flood reasons but regardless, it is something to be aware of. Also, we felt there was a lack of outdoor furniture in the pool area for the space the house can accommodate. It was suggested to use the beach chairs when we mentioned it. There is a beautiful back deck overlooking the pool and there is no furniture at all. That said, it's a great house, host was very nice.

Couldn't have been better - awesome house, close to everything!

House was awesome. Owner was awesome. Anna Maria Island was awesome. Everything went smoothly and we can't wait to go back. Tuck, the owner, was extremely visible during the process, helping with restaurant and island recommendations, helped get a rental company access to the property to drop off a crib before we arrived, and was accessible almost immediately via phone when needed. The house was immaculate, included everything you would need for the beach, including chairs, bikes, pool toys, games, etc. and provided everything we would need in a house. 1 block from the beach, beautifully decorated, quiet, and close enough to walk or bike to most local attractions and shops and bars/restaurants. Can't say enough good things about Tuck or his property and I honestly can't see how it could get better. While on the deck one day, a man passed us and mentioned he stayed at the property a year prior and loved it and was hoping to come back to it soon. We agree - A+++ all around. If every VRBO owner provided a home like this, with an owner who managed it like this, there would never be a complaint! Thanks Tuck - you're the man.

Perfect beach getaway

This house was absolutely perfect. Pristine, well decorated and appointed, had everything we needed for a family with older children. Many beach chairs, toys, bikes, floats, excellent kitchen equipment, comfy beds, etc. just steps from the beach with a LOT to do in a matter of a few miles. We wish we could have stayed longer and would love to come in the off season when AMI is less crowded. Tuck was the perfect host- super responsive and communicative. We had the best time!

Amazing house and location!

Our family had a great time at Sunkissed and Salty. The house is beautiful and just as described in this listing. The location to the beach is so easy. It was not a struggle to get our pre-schooler there and back many times a day! This home is well suited for families. My young children loved the pool/hot tub. The lower level is a perfect hang out for older kids too! Tuck was also super responsive and helpful. We will be back!

Travel, especially family beach vacations, is our family's passion. We first visited Anna Maria Island eleven years ago at the recommendation of several people from our home town. We had never heard of it - like so many people. Anna Maria 'had us at hello' from our very first day on the island. Was it was the seven miles of sugary soft, white beaches? Was it the crystal-clear and emerald Gulf of Mexico water, or the incredible hospitality of both locals and fellow vacationers? Maybe it was the fact that there are mostly independent, locally owned and operated restaurants and shops - each of them unique, fun and inspiring. No matter what it was that ultimately captured our attention, we set out on the crazy mission of owning a sliver of paradise. We started looking at houses immediately, but like anything worth having, it didn't happen right away. Four years after first visiting Anna Maria, we stumbled upon a property we completely remodeled and re-named Cozy Cabana. A couple years later, we sold it to purchase Cozy Cottage. We loved that cottage at first sight, bought it and started making it our own. In 2019, we sold Cozy Cottage and began searching for a larger home to accommodate our growing family and built Sunkissed and Salty during 2020-2021. Our goal is simple. It is to have Sunkissed and Salty feel like your 'home' away from home and where you want to return to year after year.

Why they chose this property

When we found what would become Sunkissed and Salty, it was in desperate need of a major update, if not a complete teardown. On the bright side, the location being less than 325 ft from the beach, direct views of the Gulf of Mexico, and tons of space(2915 sq ft) in a quiet yet highly desirable area meant we had found a diamond in the rough. On the down-side, a massive amount of planning, demolition and re-construction was set before us. From June 2020 through April 2021, multiple designers, architects, and contractors worked tirelessly to help us make Sunkissed and Salty a completely new, coastal-modern home for all to enjoy. You'll love the spacious layout and highly functional floor-plan. You'll enjoy the expansive pool and spa we designed for maximum fun, and we know everyone will love all the extra amenities we added to Sunkissed & Salty. We are thrilled with the results and know guests like yourself will as well.

What makes this property unique

Anna Maria Island is one of the most unique and beautiful islands in the U.S. AMI boasts beautiful beaches of sugary white sand and clear emerald waters. Once a 'secret' hideaway, USA Today, NY Times, NY Post and Coastal Living have offered rave reviews of AMI over the last few years; and Forbes recently named Anna Maria #3 in their 15 of America's Prettiest Towns. Finally, Anna Maria Island was ranked as the '3rd Best Island in the US'. We don't disagree!

Anna Maria Island is a 7 mile slice of paradise, The cottages and bungalows, locally owned eateries and shops that dot this tropical paradise give that 'Old Florida' feeling of ultimate comfort and relaxation. Our expansive home, Sunkissed and Salty, happens to be one of those homes that mirrors Anna Maria Island's atmosphere - quietly situated and wonderfully appointed yet close to everything you want to enjoy!

Both Tampa(home of the Tampa Rays MLB and Super Bowl Champion Buccaneers NFL) and Sarasota are just a short drive away offering easy international airport access to Anna Maria, and major attractions such as Busch Gardens, Universal Studios, Disney World and Sea World are anywhere from an hour to 2 hours away from Sunkissed and Salty. You have plenty to do all around as you can see, but once you settle into Anna Maria's laid-back living, you're likely to melt right into paradise and leave your cares behind you.
