This property is located in a quiet neighborhood. The access to the Guadalupe River is a bit steep, but manageable. The scenery is quite beautiful. The outdoor deck is really nice. Overall our stay was peaceful and pleasant. The host was easy to reach and quite responsive. We definitely recommend this property.

Our stay was fantastic at Whippoorwill. The house was perfect, very clean and cozy. We loved the deck. It was so relaxing to sit on the deck, drinking coffee and watching the river and people tubing, fishing and kayaking

We were in town for a wedding at the Preserve so we chose this spot because it was so close. Enjoyed the home and its beautiful view of the river. There was a smell in the air but we heard from locals that it was coming from the Canyon Lake Dam. My in laws were very pleased with amenities…especially the access to river from the backyard…beds were very comfortable and did not want to get out of them but with the sound of the river flowing we were glad we did.

This can occur seasonally in the Canyon Lake area during the lake’s natural turnover near the dam and is not related to the home or septic system. Thankfully, it is temporary and typically resolves as lake conditions change. Just couldn't be better

What a lovely home right on the river. Super nice inside, great kitchen fully ready for family meals and then there is the back porch to relax on, fireflies to watch and the river to sit by. We will be back many times I am sure

The location is the best we have stayed on the river so far. People do come to the public side of the river but the area is large enough to share.

Great quiet stay

Love the location of this house. It has everything we needed for the few days we were there. Wish the weather was warmer so the kids can play in the water. We need to come back in the summer!

Relaxing stay

We will be back! The view and the location are perfect. Great view from inside too. One of the bedrooms and the dining room overlook the river. The home is spacious and has everything you need.
