La Vignasse ("The Vineyard") is a sympathetically restored ancient farmhouse set in secluded countryside between the famous medieval bastide towns of Belves and Monpazier. The farmhouse is tucked away from it all & is not overlooked. There are no neighbours, noise or traffic, just a fully heated and warm pool on your arrival.

It is idyllically situated just 10 mins from Monpazier, “The most perfect, and best preserved, of all the bastides”. And 12 mins from Belves " Les Plus Beaux Villages de France"

Located in the sought after Dordogne Perigord Noir, La Vignasse offers a tranquil base to explore the many sites of this stunning, historic region: Cultural Festivals, Food Festivals, Golf, Fishing, Microlighting, Horse racing, Equestrian Centres, Tree-Top Adventures, Music Festivals and even a UNESCO World Heritage Site all within 10 to 15 mins. Or enjoy canoeing or boating down the Dordogne along the valley of 1000 castles.

Surrounded on all sides by beautiful countryside, this sunny, stone house has a wealth of character and is fitted with all modern appliances. A large, very private, heated swimming pool (9m x 4.5m) and terrace lies on the southern facing side of the house, with a shaded eating area for those hot summer days. A large garden surrounds the house and offers uninterrupted views across the surrounding valley.

HEATED POOL June, Sept and October The very private pool will be warm all season long through to end of October.

Sleeps 11 + 2. Sleeps 11 upstairs with 6 bedrooms + a double sofa bed downstairs. Upstairs accommodation is accessed via two separate stairways, providing an ideal set up for two families holidaying together. There are two bathrooms each with walk in power showers and baths.
And the kitchen is fitted with all the mod cons you'd expect with an American-style fridge and dishwasher. Free WiFi.

We have a wonderful time at this property it was everything we had hoped for; peaceful, spacious and located in the beautiful rural french countryside. Thank you so much Lawrence, lots of great memories.Loved the markets and eating out as well as spending time on the river and lake. Would recommend a day out to explore the caves at Proumeyssac.

Really lovely

This was the nicest place we've stayed in France by a long way. The house is wonderfully located - really peaceful, private and tranquil up it's own long drive but set amongst beautiful open countryside. There's croissant and coffee a cycle away and the most gorgeous Bastide town is 10 mins drive away. The pool is perfect and the house is open plan and really well-kitted out. There's loads to do, udring our week we played golf on a local course, saw some horseracing at a tiny little racecourse ouside monapzier, and the kids went kayaking and to a kids outdoor adventure park.

Periguord retreat

Characterful farmhouse in beautiful countryside .Far enough away from neighbours that you can let your hair down but can also enjoy the complete peace and quiet too.Beautiful Belvès and Cadouin a shortish drive away ensured restaurants when you fancies. The local night markets are not too be missed. During the heat wave the pool was essential and any issues with it were quickly resolved. There are low beams throughout the property with thoughtfully hung pom-poms to bring your attention to them. One of our party was 6’7” and he survived. Plenty of dining space to eat in or alfresco. We had a great time!

Mycket fint hus, vackert beläget, underbara småstäder i närområdet, bra kök, bra rum, mycket fin pool! Enda nackdelen var låg takhöjd inomhus.

Le propriétaire nous a fait payer les séjours d’un nourrisson de 3 semaines et d’un bébé de 6 mois ! De plus Abritel rajoute systématiquement des hôtes supplémentaires, que nous nous sommes faits rembourser. Jolie Maison agréable au milieu de nulle part, idéale pour un séjour en famille. Il y a 11 couchages. Il manque des plats pour cuisiner.

Beautiful and absolutely charming

It was almost like we were in some sort of fantasy land. Staying at La Vignasse wasn’t my first visit to France but it sure was my favorite. A fantastically beautiful farmhouse that gave us all the pleasures we could enjoy. The blend of the modern and the old actually gets your senses ticking every time. My husband and I are adventure seekers and when we were here we couldn’t hold back from exploring the caves, the much talked about heritage site, and the winding Dordogne River. The Jardin de Marqueyssac was exhilarating and it served as an end to our adventures. Wine tasting, plums, and the aroma of truffles made dining out something we did often. There’s something to explore for everyone.

Having come here on holiday several times, we were attracted not only the beauty of this area, but also by the quality of life it offers. It's easy to become part of the community, the local food and wine is delicious, there is history around every corner, there are lots of cultural activities and the weather is superb!
When we found La Vignasse, we fell in love with everything it has to offer our young family, and what it has to offer our guests. It's wonderfully private and tranquil with beautiful views, but has quick access to shops, restaurants and all kinds of fun activities. The farmhouse is an authentic and characterful Perigordine property but has been modernised to provide all comforts. We look forward to you enjoying all of this on your holiday!
