Light filled private beach escape in Wading River

We enjoyed the simple comforts of this bright, quiet dog friendly getaway a block from the beach. The colors were invitingly beachy, and the bed linens lovely. A great find!

The Hideaway

Coming from the city, I needed a quiet place (no fireworks every night) to just view the stars, get some sun, relax - keep it simple. This was perfect, the vibe was serene and peaceful. There are two small decks to which you can either enjoy your meal or watch the sunset. The description provided for this listing is on point. The owner is very kind and knowledgeable of the area, if you need any extra information to get about. The beach is very isolated and not overrun which affords ample social distancing during these precarious times. I lived at the beach during my stay. The bird wildlife in the salt marsh is such a beautiful sight and sound to observe. Very relaxing. The breezes run through this room such that I never turned on my AC. I definitely plan on staying here again. It's the perfect hideaway to getaway to. -DLair

Sweet studio!

Had a beautiful stay at Deborah’s studio. My mom, my dog and I loved being so close to the beach. We stayed for just under a week and were able to work remotely comfortably from the studio. We loved how close we were to the beach and definitely took lots of long walks with our dog on the back road to the creek. Beautiful property!

Great place; blend privacy/quiet with proximity

Deborah was a helpful informative gracious host, responsive to questions and accommodating. Great nearby restaurant (Le Plage) was home away from home. Only thing that didn’t go as planned was that it rained for a couple of days, w. some inevitable humidity; scenic pretty beach town, albeit just west of Riverhead and only drop more extra drive to get deeper East into the North Fork. Would recommend. Breezy sea air, block from beach, all different directions to walk/run, parks nearby too.

So peaceful and quaint

Really great location literally 1/2 block from beach. Quiet and serene. Deborah so sweet and accommodating to us. Helped us with whatever was needed. Just wonderful!!!

Great studio near the beach

The studio is really clean and well equipped. Deborah was responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. The beach was close but it's very small, a big portion of it is private for beach houses.

The perfect spot to relax!

We were looking for a quiet place to stay, with a beautiful view and the feeling of seclusion- and we found the perfect spot here! With the back porch/patio overlooking the marsh and a five minute walk to the beach, we lounged during the day to our hearts content. Lots of restaurants around and scenic drives through the beautiful neighborhoods and long fields. Deborah was very helpful and our space with fresh and felt very safe even during Covid. Will absolutely spend more relaxing weekends out here!

A true gem! So peaceful and beautiful.

My partner and I had the loveliest time here. If you are coming from NYC, it's very easy to get to the house via the LIRR and an Uber/Lyft. For food, La Plage is about a minute walk north and excellent if you want a nice dinner with lots of seafood options. Brekky, which serves smoothies, bowls, and toast is about a 15-minute walk South and great for breakfast and brunch. We prepared the majority of our meals in the house; ample utensils and tools were provided. The house is about a minute's walk from the beach and couldn't be more convenient. The beach is very rocky so the only thing I regretted I did not have during my stay were water shoes. We will miss having morning coffee overlooking the salt marsh sanctuary. Thank you, Deb, for being so accommodating and helpful and friendly during our stay!

I have lived in this eclectic beach home 30+ years and welcomed guests for six years because I love to share the beautiful atmosphere of Wading River. My family have been summering here 60+ years and I have fond memories of swimming in the Long Island Sound, and canoe trips on the River. It’s a well kept secret that you can find “Wading River Diamonds “ beach combing! Try your luck!

Come relax and explore the Nature Conservancy Wetland forest trails. Bring canoes and kayaks to launch off of the Pier at the end of Creek Road one block away.

Very casual and close to beaches, both the LI Sound and South Shore Ocean beaches. Best Vineyards with live entertainment most nights. Restaurants nearby are 5 Star rated, both within walking distance and one mile by car.
