Perfect stay in a charming property, The house is beautiful, spacious and very clean. The house was equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The decoration is beautiful. The local area is quiet and peaceful, and only a short drive to local villages. The pool was the highlight of our stay. It was large for the size of the property, very clean and the perfect temperature for the hot weather. The outdoor areas are very nice with lots of different places to sit, eat and relax.

Relaxing stay in France

We had a lovely stay here, the propeety is truly amazing and beautiful. It has everything you need and is really well located for Fontevraud and Montsoreau. The check in process was seamless and we were greetd with pmenty of usefull information. The proerty is so nice its like somthing from a story book.

It’s a beautiful house in a gorgeous location. It does require a car to get anywhere but there is a huge amount to do in the area. Loved the holiday and will likely again someday.

Home from Home

Lovely property, good location, private and quiet. Some low areas in the ceilings upstairs, but not a big issue. Perhaps some low energy bright LED lighting would help brighten the traditional downstairs rooms. Stayed for 3 weeks, would happily have stayed longer.

Almost Perfect

We spent nearly 4 weeks in the house in July 2023 and were sorry to leave. The location of the house is exceptional and the outdoor areas - the pool and the front garden are wonderful. The description and the pictures of the house are fair and correct, though one should be aware that the downstairs bedroom is rather small and dark while the two upstairs rooms, which are very large and handsome, allow limited privacy when both occupied. There have been some equipment failures and problems with the pool during our stay. The concierge was very helpful trying to fix them, when he could.

Lovely home

It was a beautiful home and a lovely location. We were quite comfortable there, but it was unseasonably cold when we arrived and we were not given instructions on how to use the heat registers. In addition we were told that we would be charged an extra €40 for heat per day, beyond the days she identified as unseasonably cold which seems excessive. As it turned out the cold extended longer, and the landlord did not communicate with us about additional access to heat. We recommend that this issue be resolved ahead of time.

Our first family holiday at Maison DE Campagne was perfect. The owners provided excellent communication from the start. We were delayed by traffic, and our host was incredibly understanding, ensuring we could access the property without issue and even following up the next day to make sure we were settled in.The location is ideal—a quiet road south of Fontevraud, surrounded by beautiful farmland. It was a fantastic base for exploring the Loire Valley but also a peaceful retreat for relaxation. The house had everything we needed. The large, fully-equipped kitchen was perfect for family meals, and the lounge provided a cool escape from the heat. The bedrooms were even better than the photos suggested, and we appreciated that the beds were made up and separated for our two children. The master bedroom was a great size with plenty of storage. The views of the front garden, especially the roses, were gorgeous. The pool was the highlight of our trip! Perfectly situated facing open fields, it was completely private and we used it every day. The water was clean and warm, and the loungers were perfect for supervising the kids from. The pool and garden lighting created a wonderful atmosphere.We felt incredibly well looked after and were delighted with the house and its amenities, especially the pool. We would absolutely love to return to the Loire Valley for future trips.

Fijn vakantiehuis in mooie streek

Authentiek huis met veel comfort. Zwembad erg fijn na een warme dag. Schoonmaak redelijk in orde, zolang je niet teveel in hoekjes en gaatjes kijkt. Omgeving prachtig, met veel historische bezienswaardigheden en mooie natuur. Ook prima voor fietsers.

Nettes Haus mit schönem Pool

Das Haus ist schön gelegen, allerdings in der Nähe eines Truppenübungsplatzes. Es hat einen schönen Garten mit Außensitzplatz und eine schöne Poolterrasse. Für einen Aufenthalt bei schlechtem Wetter ist das Haus nicht besonders geeignet, da die Küche und das Wohnzimmer sehr dunkel sind.Die Küche war mäßig ausgestattet, das Nötigste war vorhanden. Bei der Sauberkeit war noch Luft nach oben. Die Betten waren sehr bequem. Bei schönem Wetter wäre es bestimmt sehr schön, aber das hatten wir leider nicht.

Pour les équipements de la cuisine nous pensions que nous avions mis tout ce qu'il fallait, que vous a t il manqué pour que nous améliorons notre prestation. Nous faisons appel à un prestataire pour la propreté et nous mettons un point d'honneur à ce que la maison soit irréprochable, qu'avez vous remarqué pour que nous remontions l'information et que cela ne se reproduise pas. Well located property for access to the Loire Valley towns

The house is well located. 7 minutes drive from Fontevraud-L’Abbaye and 6 minutes from Roiffé. We were met with the keys and shown around the house with additional contact available if needed during our stay. The kitchen had all the equipment you could need and was a good space with a large dining table. There were inflatables for the pool and games for indoor and outdoor games and sports and the outdoor space is good for badminton and boules. The gas barbecue was great and there was an additional barbecue at the rear of the house for a charcoal barbecue. The bedrooms were comfortable with plenty of drawers and wardrobe space. The bedding is modern and very clean. There was a very good provision of towels of good sizes. The house has two showers and a bath Overall we loved being able to easily drive to Chinon, Saumur and Loudun and really enjoyed staying in the house.

Belle maison au calme

Maison conforme à la description, décorée et meublée avec soin et qualité. Située dans un environnement calme et à proximité de divers lieux de visites. Le rez-de-chaussée offre fraicheur en cas de fortes chaleurs. Les mansardes sont plus chaudes mais faciles à rafraichir la nuit. Profitez de la piscine en début de soirée et vous aurez le plaisir de voir apparaître des petits oiseaux cherchant un peu de fraîcheur en été.
