Welcome to One Eleven in downtown, historic Humble. Eight minutes from George Bush Intercontinental Airport airport and minutes from 6+ golf courses!
This home was built in 1929 during the Humble Oil Boom in the heart of Historic Downtown Humble. Originally the house had two front doors to accommodate shift workers. It was turned into a single family home and an addition was made in the mid 60s, almost doubling the house size. A full gut and renovation was completed in 2019. The original trim and windows were kept to preserve the character. The original front door is now the pantry door. You can look up into the past and see the shiplap ceilings that are original to the house, now patinaed.
There are two generous sized bedrooms with a quaint 1930s style tiled bathroom between them. A full marble bathroom is found at the back of the house off the den. There is a front sitting room, an office with glass French doors, kitchen, large pantry with storage, laundry room, and oversized den with TV.
Swing on the front porch swing and enjoy the breeze. Have a chat with the amazing neighbors who we consider family. Walk down the street and visit Green Oaks Tavern, Chez Nous, Humble City Café, or several other great spots. Two parks with playgrounds are around the corner as well. If you come at just the right time, sit on the front porch and watch one of the many festivals or parades! Golfers, we are minutes from Golf Club of Houston in Fall Creek, Clubs of Kingwood, Tour 18, Oakhurst, Atascocita Golf Club, and Cypresswood Gold Club!

My husband and I had a great stay. The owners were very accommodating and communicative. The neighborhood was quiet with quick access to the highway, and the house had everything we needed for our long stay, including washer/dryer.

This is so nice to hear! I’d certainly love to have you back very soon!
We loved the house and location. Humble is quiet and still has stores and shops nearby. The house was great, had everything we needed for 2 adults and 2 kids, 6 and 8 years old. AC worked great, washer and dryer were also super helpful so we didn't have to pack as much. We would love to stay here again in the future.

Rooms and home were clean and the space is cozy. The homes had modern touches in a historical home. Cozy for one person or a family of four. It felt spacious and welcoming. Host was friendly, engaging, responsive, and communicative.

Spotlessly clean, quiet location, everything close by
The house was spotlessly clean, and just as described.
While the location is extremely quiet, everything you might for shopping or eating is just minutes away.
Would happily stay again.

About the host
Hosted by Megan & Travis Bailey
My family and I love travel, hiking, RVing, and enjoying the outdoors. We spend as much time as possible exploring beautiful places. I've worked in the construction & design business for many years and have now renovated 5+ homes of my own and hope to list more properties soon in amazing locations across the USA!
Why they chose this property
We purchased this property in 2018 after our home in Kingwood flooded during Hurricane Harvey. We chose this house because of it's location, lack of flooding, wonderful neighbors, and close access to everything.
The house has been completely rewired, plumbed, new drywall, fixtures, etc. We kept some elements that maintained the home's history. We felt it was important to keep the story of the home's past alive!
What makes this property unique
Our property is unique because it holds so much history and charm. We love the location downtown and how it feels so quaint.
