Thanks Gabriel. Note you stayed in the highest peak dates of the year (January Holidays). Sorry about the terrible weather too, we just got flooded camping in Hahei. It would be great to have you back in better weather sometime, and would happily provide you with discounted pricing outside school holidays. Thanks, G.
Great spot to stay for a fishing trip. Plenty of space and good secure driveway for parking the boat - would definitely stay again. Good value for money
Puka Bach is a great place right on Tokerau Beach, ideally placed to enjoy the Karikari Peninsular and its beautiful beaches as well as explore the far North. We had a wonderful time.
We really enjoyed our stay. The bach has everything you need, lots of space and great for our dog. Views and beach at your doorstep. Lovely and quiet at the end of the road.
Communication was excellent and access was hassle free. We would definitely stay again!
Puka Bach was the perfect get away for us, the amazing beach right on your doorstep was exactly as the pictures portrayed. Perfect size for the 5 of us to enjoy the sunrises, read and play cards!

Perfect location. Bach has everything you need.
Prefect location for our family. Bach had everything we needed. Fully fenced, kids had a blast. Great communication from grant. Would diffently stay again.
Only surprise was the warning to keep all windows shut from dusk to avoid mosquitoes, combined with 2 out of 3 mosquito nets not functional

Hey Euan, thanks for staying and for your reviews. So pleased you all had a fantastic time. We have addressed the maintenance issue with the 2 mosquito nets, appreciate you making us aware of that. All the best and hope to catch up again soon, Grant.
Unfortunately the weather was dreadful and didn't get to enjoy the beautiful beach on our doorstep. We found the house comfortable, great location. If the weather had been better we would have love to use the kayaks, boogie boards etc. We enjoyed playing table tennis though. We would love to return in better weather.
This location is sheer perfection, a short walk to a huge warm sandy beach! 😍
The home itself was really lovely upstairs, was well stocked with everything you could possibly need. It really felt so cozy, a home away from home.
The only downside is the downstairs was very damp and the bathroom passway wasn’t very nice - but overall that was very minimal to our stay.
Our family would recommend this place to anyone wanting a great beach getaway with the most amazing sunrises you’ll ever see!
We had fantastic communication from Grant, who was so friendly and helpful. The home is lovely, neat and tidy with a stunning view and a peaceful vibe. Just a short walk across the road and you are on a beautiful beach. There is a great range of games as well as a smart TV with every channel you could possibly need to relax during the evenings. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us, we had a great time!

You are very welcome Christine, so nice to meet you. Take care and look forward to catching up again next time....G.
we had a great stay at Grant's place, the views from the deck are fantastic in Addition to the short hop across the road to the beach and it was a good setup for our little family, I would describe the setup as your typical quintessential kiwi bach. The addition of a washing machine and dryer was a nice bonus for our little family considering we were staying a week. The house would be perfect for two families however would be tight on space if you housed 15 adults particularly if you want space and if the weather is bad, other than that all good, Grant's communication was excellent.

The Bach was clean and tidy. Just what we needed. Comfortable beds too.
Overall we enjoyed our stay. Though having a fridge and freezer in the downstairs toilet and bathroom was totally unhygenic.would I recommend this bach? Most definitely. Suggestion to put ceiling fans in the downstairs bedrooms, really hot and struggle to breath once everything is closed at night.
Beautiful place to visit. Thank you Grant

Great, thanks Lynda. To clarify, the downstairs fridge and chest freezer is secondary to the main upstairs fridge/freezer and most people find it very handy for the extra space when needed. Rather than ceiling fans, we will put quality pedalstool fans in every room with remote controls and digital interface - good idea.
Yes it's a stunning property and location, I agree. Not sure why you rated it 3 stars as this is inconsistent with your comments and the reviews/ratings we have had over the past 8 years letting this bach out. Most others tell us it's one of the best, if not the best, they've stayed in. Maybe an oversight perhaps?
All the best and hope to see you again soon....
Grant.
