Our host Tracey was on hand if we had any questions which was really appreciated. We loved the fully fenced section as one of our two dogs is blind so was lovely that we did not have to worry about her getting on the road. The batch was close to beaches and also family down the road so easy access. We did not want for anything as the accomodation was packed with lots of extras Will surely stay again if accommodation booked out and family homestead. Thank you Tracey
The property is probably OK in the height of summer. All cooking and eating facilities are outside. So in autumn, when the nights are cooler and especially in the event of a storm - ie a forecast cyclone in particular, it is not a place to be. There not even a table that could be put up inside to eat off, and no hotplates either. On top of that, the door to the sleepout was impossible for our party to close properly. That added to our frustration in the bad weather we had.Altogether we were very disappointed and had to leave the property early, at some considerable added expense.
Great little bach with excellent outdoor cooking and dining. Awesome for our dog

Great location
A bit of misinformation online but great fenced property for our dogs and over the road from the beach. FYI bathroom tap could be better!

Great house guest left our back lovely and clean . Thanks for staying with us
Great little bach, 1 minute walk to the beach, plenty of parking for the boat and cars and fully fenced for the dog. Cosy little base and handy to the amenities.
Awesome!
Good call — here’s the same review cleaned up so it reads completely natural and human:⸻ – Perfect, practical beach base (great for dogs and boats)Dad, my Labrador Millie, and I stayed here for 5 nights and it was exactly what we were after. It’s not overly posh, just a comfortable, well set up bach with everything you need. The fully fenced section was ideal for Millie and also gave us plenty of room for the boat and car, which made things really easy. The location is fantastic and very close to the beach, which is stunning and great for long walks and fishing missions. We did attempt to launch the boat off the sand in the bay to the north and managed to get the car stuck. Definitely operator error, not the property’s fault. We got it sorted in the end with some strops and teamwork. If you’re not experienced with beach launching, I’d recommend listening to local advice or using the Taipa boat ramp instead, watch out for the running tides though. Overall, it was a classic, relaxed NZ beach stay. Dog friendly, practical, and a great base for fishing and beach time. We’d happily come back.
Nice batch and location, pet friendly. We made mistake not putting kids on booking and final account was expensive for our family of 4. Would be too small for 8. Didn't feel private.

We had an awesome week here. The bach was very tidy and well stocked with everything you need. Kids and dog loved huge front section and lovely sitting outside dining. Loved outdoor shower. Great location across from beach -would recommend!
We loved this stay! So many thoughtful touches in the Bach, and very well equipped from the coffee maker to the drinking water filter. Huge fridge/freezer and a fish/bait freezer in the laundry shed, outdoor cooking on gas burner stovetop and a Weber bbq, indoor cooking in bench top oven or microwave, this was just heaven for our 10 day stay. We don’t want to leave! Tracey is a great host, we wanted for nothing. And our dog had a ball too!
Fantastic communication from owner. Exactly what you would expect from a classic kiwi Bach. A rare treat in baches we could take our dog, and IS fully fenced. Great, friendly neighbours, short walk to beach. We will definitely be back.
We were thrilled with this bach, it was everything we needed, and the things we wanted to!
It's not easy to get accomodation for people AND dogs. Especially dogs that need to be fenced in.This bach was amazing becuase it was perfectly fenced (sometimes only partial fencing happens and it's hard for us).
The Host was really quick to be in contact, and really helpful as well.
We would stay again for sure. :)
Perfect place for a fishing holiday. Really well set up bach and great for the dog being fully fenced, lots of room to run around and across from the beach.
Can’t wait to stay again
We had a lovely family holiday In what can be described as a real kiwi Bach. The sleepout was fantastic for teenagers and we loved the outdoor eating. The big lawn saw lots of games of cricket. It was great having the beach just across the road but it was also a great location for exploring other lovely beaches in the area as well as exploring further north on day trips. Beds were comfortable which was a bonus.
Great location, nice and tidy property and great value.
Massive outdoor section for boat or camper storage.
Friendly owners who make your stay enjoyable.
