Absolutely loved our stay here. Herb's Place was warm, tidy and comfortable and had the real "family kiwi bach" feel that is such a gem to find. Short stroll to the lake, bird song everywhere around you, coffee table perfect size to do a jigsaw at! What more could you want? We'll definitely be back.
Herbs Place was ideal for us six single adults with four bedrooms. The central lounge, kitchen and dining was comfortable and spacious and well resourced. The fireplace kept the house warm in the evenings. The shower did not have huge pressure but there was plenty of hot water.
Lovely location, private with loads of bird life. Basic place but that is what we were looking for and you can see that from the pictures and description. Would definitely stay again!
A beautiful comfy stay with a great fire, perfect for our family. We spent 5 beautiful days at the lake, coming back to the house and cooking on the barbecue was so lovely.
In the bush with everything you need, a short walk to the lake - the location is sublime. Weka and Robin visits add to the morning chorus. Its an amazing bach and we loved it.
We loved our stay and how cosy and homely the place felt! We loved being in the bush, feeling off grid yet surrounded with everything we need. The fire place and stove was amazing! Loved the old tv and decor! Felt like stepping back in time, reminding us of many childhood memories. We will definitely love to stay again! Thank you!
The location is absolutely stunning, the bird life outside the window was such a treat and even though our good old kiwi summer has been a bit lacking there was so much to do. The house itself was cozy and had everything we needed. Would love to head back sometime
Friendly and accommodating host, great communication. I booked this property on behalf of Land Search & Rescue for our tutors who travel the nation delivering training to our volunteer base. The property was perfect for our purposes.
Awesome place! So special, just wished we were staying longer than one night. We will definitely be keeping this in our minds for future trips! Thank you!
The cabin was just like i had imagined... charming and cosy. Loved seeing the family tree on the wall, was nice to appreciate the generations that have enjoyed stsying there over the years
