Loved our stay at Port Waikato. The bach was tidy, clean and comfortable. A bonus that it was only a very short walk down to the beach. Would love to come back and stay here again.
We really enjoyed our time there. Our 2.5 month old was so calm and at home. It rained alot one of the days but it was a beautiful big space to chill and watch movies via chromecast.
We absolutely loved our stay at Roger’s Port Waikato bach. It’s in such a great location with Sunset Beach only a short walk away. The bach was light and airy with a lovely deck to lounge around on.Roger was super communicative and made everything easy.We will definitely be returning!
A delightful place to unwind and relax, highly recommend. Enough of everything, clean, bright, easy, private. Great communication with host Roger, who accommodated some last minute needs of ours.
Everything was pretty good, could do with a couple of sharp knives or a knife sharpener and maybe a few smaller drinking glasses apart from that awesome 👌
Great property, would stay there again had everything we needed .
Not too far away from Pukekohe race track. Was perfect for us .
Great communication from Roger .
Thank you
This is a classic kiwi bach and we loved our stay here. The deck and big bifold doors are so nice on a sunny day. Our son loved the backyard which was fenced. The beds were really comfortable and the house had everything we needed. There’s a great coffee shop on the beach which is a 2 minute walk from the house and a fish and chip van in the holiday park which was really nice too.
We stayed same time last year, hence back again. Bonus to park vehicle under cover close to door. A ford Ranger can fit under cover. Covered outdoor area assists with keeping all outdoor stuff dry when rained upon. Bbq provided but never got to use it. Comfy quee and king be. Kitchen fully equipped. Washing machine available.. all outdoor furniture available for use out on deck. Indoor/outdoor flow. Will definitely come back again
Need to update photo that the size of the lounge/dining through to open deck is for all to see. Initially thought place was compact for 5 adults … total opposite. Our remaining adult children had to reside close by in cordyline road. We all came together at this beaut spacious place. Beds, shower, etc all comfy. Make sure you come with all that you need. Closest shop is in tuakau if nothing open in port Waikato. Definitely will return
Lovely wee Bach with comfy beds and an open plan living area flowing onto a deck. Very close to the beach making walks for a swim nice and easy. Bach was well equipped, although agreed with comments about knives (we brought our own) . It had more of the basics (salt, pepper and the like) than I was expecting so may be worth noting that you don't need to bring those. Shower head is probably the biggest draw back.
Port Waikato is an easy drive from Tāmaki, not built up and still has that cruisy summer feel without it being built up. You do need to get all your food, although it's not a terrible drive to Puke if you were staying for longer than a few days.
Roger is responsive and friendly. Highly recommend.
We loved this bach. Great size, with everything you need. We spent Christmas here, and appreciated the kitchen facilities and the BBQ, and made good use of the deck. It was great to be able to open all of the doors to get great air flow on hot days.
Sunset Beach being a few minutes away was great - great for exploring, sunsets (of course!) and swims.
Thanks Roger.
