Bach or holiday home, 3 Bedrooms, 1 Bathrooms, (Sleeps 7)
My sister & I inherited this property after our father suddenly passed away in 2004. We enjoyed a few years of sharing family summer holidays in the Hoki, the house would be bursting with kids & visitors all summer long. It was an all round awesome few years of holidaying in the Hokianga. The Hokianga really is the perfect setting & vibe for families wanting a stress free relaxed holiday. After a few years both my family & my sister & her family moved from Auckland to Tauranga. The quick week end stays were over as it a big drive for a 2 night stay so we decided to find some nice locals for a few years but that didn’t go well so 2014 we did a complete make over & listed it on HomeAway & here we are.....
Claude purchased this House in 2004
Why Claude chose Omapere
Comfortable home away from home. Loads of home comforts at the beach house. Quiet. Peaceful. Relaxing. Sun drenched. Extensive gardens. A modern but humble Bach. There’s a great ‘feel’ or ‘vibe’ to the property so you can slip into holiday mode with ease! The open plan living layout is perfect for holidays having a central area to all come together. The bedrooms are big enough to escape to if you need some peace & quiet. Plenty to do in northland. Beautiful golden beaches. The biggest kauri tree in the world the mighty Tane Mahuta is waiting to see you.
What makes this House unique
The sunsets from the deck are stunning! Actually they are breath taking! A lovely peaceful property & area where it’s very easy to really relax! Beautiful 180 degree views of the famous golden sand dunes. Plenty of beach & water views being directly over the road from the beach.

Awesome place highly recommend
The property is just out of this world its awesome plenty of room plenty of parking The view is amazing Weather wasnt the best but that didnt matter. Internet could have been there
This is a fantastic home for a holiday. Great location, very well equipped, comfortable and spacious, very clean. Particularly good kitchen supplies (crockery, utensils, knives, appliances) which are often not great in holiday rentals. We hosted local family for dinner and it was lovely.
Only tiny gripe was lighting in the front bedroom-this is a really dark room, couldn't read in here. There's a lamp, but no bulb (a couple of lights missing bulbs). Need a couple of lamps to brighten that room.
Will definitely be back - good value for a great home.
Hi Khylee, thank you for taking the time to write such great feed back about your stay. Its always lovely to get such nice comments, thank you. I am sorry about the lack of lighting in the bedroom, I didnt realise that the bulbs had blown I will get our bach managers on to it straight away. Thanks again. See you next time. Claude :)

Visit Tane Mahuta Lord of the Forest. largest/oldest known kauri tree in the world. A very busy tourist attraction. You can only appreciate how remarkable he really is once standing before him.
Surfing on the golden hokianga sand dunes. Another great activity to do, take the ferry to the other side of the harbour.
Visit Waitangi, where the Treaty was signed in 1840 between the Maori Tribal leaders (indigenous people of NZ) & the British Empire.
See some of NZ earliest history in Northland.
Visit Bay of Islands, Kerikeri has great shopping & the BOI has unlimited sea adventures to do.
