Yet Hokianga offers what so many people seek, the wide open spaces, tranquility, a dramatic and beautiful landscape relatively untouched by man. Admittedly, Hokianga will not suit the tourist who needs motels, restaurants, video games parlours and tour operators at every turn of the road. Yet visitors who can make their own holidays, and who appreciate unspoilt nature and relaxed country living, will find plenty to do and many places to explore in Hokianga. If you truly want to get away from it all, Hokianga may be the place for you.

Really nice experience.

The views were amazing from the deck. I was unsure on whether the photos were accurate. But they were. I really enjoyed my stay and it was such a close location to the wedding we were attending.

Hi we are a mature couple that live in Auckland and have owned our bach for 4 years, we are both self employed and work full time in Auckland, we are very fortunate to own our bach in Opononi and allows us the opportunity to escape the busy city life and enjoy the tranquility of the Hokianga Harbour.

Why they chose this property

We decided to purchase this property as the Hokianga Harbour is breathtaking, peaceful, the local residents are very friendly and approachable and the area is full of NZ history. This is truely a tranquil place where you can escape and enjoy the scenic views, fishing in the harbour is also excellent and some amazing walks.
