If you want to get away from it all, if you want to remember what it's like to breathe again, welcome to our home. It is a place for lovers; for families; for pets - a place to recharge and reconnect. If you love starry skies, native flora and fauna and fishing off the beach, this is the place for you. Two bedrooms, comprising two queen beds and a bunk; a shower and bath and two separate toilets; a fabulous well stocked kitchen and a washing machine make this a self contained holiday destination. Our home is set on nearly 3 hectares of native bush and there is a cottage garden and fruit trees where you can help yourself to whatever you can find. A walk down the track will lead you to our bay. It's tidal, so you can only swim at high tide but it's worth the trek down. You can also catch snapper from the beach. If you love nightclubs, ritzy bars, cafes where you can see and be seen, this probably isn't the place for you. But if you want to slow down and live among nature, we look forward to seeing you soon.

Stephanie, you are so welcome. You left the place immaculate for which I am so grateful given I was arriving for my summer holiday the day you left. Thank you and please come back again.
Beautiful bush surrounded seclusion with magnificent view of the north side of Hokianga Harbour. House is modern, spacious and generously supplied with kitchen gear and out door loungers. We came when the tomatoes were ripe and they were a welcome addition to our salad. Beach access is for the sure footed. A lovely peaceful place to relax
We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The property itself is stunning — beautifully presented and set in an incredible location. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that great care had been taken to create a special experience for guests. Our host was exceptional — highly communicative, warm, and genuinely invested in ensuring we had the best possible stay. The level of manaaki shown throughout made us feel truly welcomed and valued.I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a memorable and seamless stay. A stunning location and an equally outstanding host!

Ngā mihi nui ki a koe, Kara. What a beautiful, generous review and I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay. It was looking so iffy with the weather, wasn't it? You are so welcome back any time. We absolutely loved hosting you. Kerre x
Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. The accommodation was beautiful, and the sea view was absolutely amazing. We really appreciated how accommodating you were for me and my whānau, and the great communication throughout. The indoor–outdoor flow was lovely, and being surrounded by fruit trees, herbs, and native bush made it extra special. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay.“He mihi nui tēnei ki a koutou mō tō koutou manaakitanga me tō koutou manaaki i a mātou. Ngā mihi maioha.”

Hi Greg, so glad you enjoyed your stay and that you decided to stay the extra night. Thank you for leaving the place so tidy - I arrived just after you for a week and barely had to do a thing! Thanks for choosing our place, Kerre
We found the house after a long drive at the end of the long road. It was a true haven. Stylish but not fancy, it was perfectly comfortable and we felt immediately at home. The kitchen and bathroom are perfectly designed.
Awesome place to stay, great communication, peaceful spot, great place for kids also, I would definitely stay again. Only thing maybe get someone to clean and air out before having guest arrive as it smelt closed up for a longtime but was a great stay thank you

Thanks so much, Breeze and thanks so much for the feedback which I'll pass on to our property manager. Sometimes it can be a week or so between stays so that's helpful to know. I hope we can host you again. Ngā mihi Kerre
PS: Also you get five stars for house rules! I have no idea why it says four! Honestly, it's when I use the app for rating - one poor guest got one star ratings for everything and he was actually brilliant. I'm only going to do the ratings on the computer now.
We had an awesome time in this piece of Paradise.
Stunning views and wonderful accommodation.
Our Host was super thoughtful and accommodating and excellent communication.
We would absolutely recommend this spot.
Loved the house, great kitchen for those who love to cook, private spot with stunning views. Short bush walk takes you down to the water. Amazing place and people were fantastic to deal with.

So lovely to host you. I hope the teens had a great time connecting with nature, too x. You were such a pleasure to deal with and the communication was excellent. The house was left in a brilliant state - you are so welcome back any time. Would highly recommend to other hosts - thank you, Kim.
It was great! Rustic with fabulous views! Comfortable and spacious.beds were comfortable so slept really well as it's very quiet. Definitely stay again
Nice Batch, even better than the pictures show. Ideal hideaway at the end of a 6km gravel road. Even good when raining as there are lots of space inside. Private beach access on a 10min trail.

About the host
Your host
Hi - my family bought this property five years ago and when we arrived, it was choked with pampas and ginger. You couldn't walk further than the front lawn. Over the past five years, thanks to the vision and hard work of an amazing local, the land has been cleared of noxious plants and natives have been planted throughout the property. It's a work in progress, but we're getting there.
Why they chose this property
You'll either get it or you won't. For those who do, your shoulders come down from around your ears, you will sit and watch the tide come in and go out, you'll listen to the sound of birdsong and if you're lucky, you'll walk down the track and catch your own kai moana for dinner. It's magical.
